Diner feel with amazing memorabilia. Felt like lunch and a show. Food was surprisingly delicious and the staff was very nice. Veggie burger was good and Mac n cheese was delicious.

If you're a sports fan definitely a place to go. Really cool sports vibe all kinds of KC sports memorabilia. The food was very good. big portions went with coworkers during lunch. All of the food was good i ordered a chicken sandwich very moist and flavourful.

Go for the atmosphere. If you are a sports fan this is your place. We went with a large group. They said it would be a limited menu, but didn't offer appetizers or drink menu's etc. And the food was good but not stand out. We might try it as just us where we are not limited on our orders and see how it is then, but I wasn't in a hurry to get back. It's good just not more than average.

Service was top notch. We asked about the happy hour apps a few minutes before 3 and were able to get the potato skins. They were very good more like a twice baked potato than the traditional potato skins. My husband had the burger that’s topped with the sloppy Joe. He said it was really good. I had the club sandwich. Again very good. The kids pizza was good sized. Clean restrooms. On street parking.Tons of sports memorabilia.

Chappell's is a sports fan's dream! So much memorabilia and memories here! Cold beer and the food was really good. We each got a 1/2lb burger and it was delicious! Highly recommend the mushrooms for an appetizer!! They were amazing! I met Jim 10 years ago just passing through town and he was so kind and generous. A great man! Keep up the great work and Go Hawks!

Truly one of the best restaurant bars in KC. They have great food; their burgers, fries and mac are incredibly delicious. Servers always have a great attitude and take care to check in. There are several TVs for sport watching, plus great music. It all makes for a wonderful experience - and not to mention how cool this place is decorated!

I didn't take pictures. But, this place is so fun. The entire restaurant is filled with sports memorabilia. It is great. You could walk around forever looking at all the stuff. I had grilled cheese. We had pot stickers at the table and a pork tenderloin which is huge. I forgot to take pictures but all were happy with their meal. It is a great place.

This place was cool. I totally dug the decor and vibe. They do online ordering, dine in, and to go orders. Place wasn't busy when I went in. The sandwich was huge and tasty. The fries were good but nothing to rave about. The carrot cake was delicious. Ordering online was super easy and had tons of options. Staff was friendly and helpful

Wow what a special place to visit! I had the good fortune to meet the original owner and have a short conversation with him. I asked him if he had a helmet of my alma mater hanging from my ceiling and he walked me straight to - there are alledgly 1k or so helmets in the building! Oh yeah, I ate the the roasted prime rib dip and it was very good. The au jus was home made, it wasn't a salty as other restaurants but very tasty!

This place is amazing! The food is delicious, the waitress we had was phenomenal and the sports memorabilia is interesting and plentiful! The women's restroom is plastered with women's sports memorabilia. I spent a long time in the restroom, looking at all the articles and photos and items. The entire restaurant is absolutely covered in sports items, and the atmosphere makes you feel welcome to get up from your seat, and wander around looking at the displays. Right now there is construction going on in front of the building. (Looks like the city is maybe replacing the sidewalks), but you can enter through the back entrance. Back entrance is completely covered, and is a great place to step outside to take a phone call or smoke/vape in all weather conditions.

A classic spot with very good quality diner food. Pretty much can't go wrong with anything. Great service, great selection, and all the sports memorabilia contributes to a great atmosphere. This place remains a regular for me

Our server was amazing! The food was fabulous. Easily the best wings I've had in a long time. I also tried the chicken fried chicken. It was delicious. Everything was great. I love looking at all of the helmets and memorabilia. The only thing I'd change is adding a dessert menu.

Chappell's (pronounced like Chapel) was a quick find after the family played at a local park and needed a family friendly atmosphere with a decent kids menu and a beer for mom and dad🤣 We definitely found all this and more at Chappell's! The service was efficient and very professional. The sports decor was super fun!! There are many menu options that looked very delicious!

First time eating here and it was really good. I had the grilled cheese trio with fries and my husband had the tenderloin. We tried the Tom Sawyer lemonade and it was delicious! Loved all the sports memorabilia. We will definitely need back. Glad Jefferson's ignored us so we walked out and came here!

Sat in a nice room in back and could not keep my eyes off everything. Lots of history in that business. Food was fine also!

As a restaurant, Chappell's is fine. Our server was really nice and tended to all our needs. The food was a mix of good to ok, with typical bar food cooked as it should be but otherwise unremarkable, and a large variety of entrees and some intriguing daily specials. Tried the Chipotle Salmon from the regular menu, and the fish was cooked just right but the aioli made it too greasy and the additional toppings were very mild. No regrets, but I'd modify or change my order next time. The drinks were fine. As a place, packed with sports history and somewhat of a historic landmark in its own right, Chappell's was probably quite an attraction in its hay day. Visiting recently on a Saturday evening, this expansive labyrinth of space felt like it was yearning for crowds of visitors and regulars to arrive, but instead it was just a handful of us. There's plenty of room for big groups, and it connects to a covered outdoor corridor too. I enjoyed wandering around (wasn't too difficult/awkward for me to poke around since there weren't many guests at the time) looking at all the sports photos and memorabilia from across KC, the Midwest, and the nation, spotlighting a mix of pro, college, high school, etc. Even found a couple pennants from my own alma mater! On an equally cheeky and depressing note, there was a ton of women's athletic memorabilia … in the women's restroom (would have been cool to see it displayed more prominently in the main areas for all to see). Overall Chappell's has it's own blast-from-the-past charm, and I hope the restaurant gets to enjoy a bustling revival some day.

This is a nice little spot to go and hangout and get a drink or a bite to eat. The build your own Mac and cheese is a must try. The house salad is iceberg lettuce and the one that I received... Well the lettuce looked old and dead, my waiter took it off with no issues.

👍👍 Better than Outback Steakhouse. (For real). I’m not even lying bro. Great food, I’ve eaten here plenty of times and I always think “goddamn, this is better than Outback Steakhouse.” — and it is. Definitely better than Outback Steakhouse 👌🏻 If you’re in the KC Metro Area and need some grub, and you...
