My son picked this place to celebrate his bday. We got there and they weren’t very busy. It took our waitress 20 minutes to even take our order. She only filled one drink, no napkins, then we got our food and never saw her again. We had to get our ticket from someone else. The food was decent. But disappointed in the service. Guess the table that came in after us was more important. Too bad my husband usually tips great!!

There was a group of us who decided to stop in for drinks on July 7th around 8pm. Sabin was our server. I requested one ticket. The ticket came to a total of $221.46. I tipped off of the total, without tax. So, I added $40, and signed for $261.26. When my statement arrived it had a total of $265.26. Someone added an extra $4. It isn't much but it is fraud. I wonder how often this happens. My receipt is clear and legible.

We stopped here at 10am Sunday. The entire reason we tried it was because we are tired of having to wait until 11am to eat lunch. The food was good, staff was nice. A little slow getting our food but there were 28-30 people there as well before 1030am so it was understandable. I am sure we will be back. 9-26-21/We are back and I almost marked my post as not helpful because I did not mention what we had and I don't remember. Lol

Staff was friendly but for my first time ordering from here was a miss….. NO gravy on my country fried chicken and mashed. It’s not just the kitchen’s fault-bartender should have checked as well as myself!

Overall, I love this place. Been coming for years. The bar tender “Ali” was drinking several shots in quick succession. While enjoying my meal, I over heard one of the patrons she was taking shots with divulge to another that he wouldn’t be 21 until February. As far as I’ve been concerned, this was a great bar with class. A place where people can congregate comfortably and have a great time. I have no idea what’s going on today, but it’s clearly illegal and not a safe place for someone of age to enjoy a drink. I was incredibly uncomfortable and hope the necessary changes be made immediately.

Took my wife here last night and was very impressed with all the new changes. We came in 8 months ago and said we would never come back. We decided to give it a try one more try and happy we did. GREAT new staff and new beer selections. Food also has really improved. Our server told us about new management and owners. Can really tell things are turning for the better!

Terrible! Have been going to this place for approximately 10 years. It used to be amazing. The last 6 months or so it has been awful!!! I know the pandemic has hurt many businesses, but this place might as well close as bad as the food has been the last 6 months. Burgers are always burnt. Food is always cold. Items taste "leftover". I would recommend you spend your money elsewhere.

Love this place! Not only is the food great it’s so affordable and not just a typical hole in the wall place. Amy the bartender was so fun to talk to and she made the best Long Island I’ve ever had. My girlfriend and I loved the company the service the atmosphere and Amy!! 11/10 recommend

Good food. Service was a little slow. Guessing they were short staffed. Got sweet potato fries with my burger. They had a gluten free bun. They also worked with my cinnamon allergy as did not realize their fries had cinnamon sugar on them. Brought me regular fries to replace them. Thank you for working with me.

Well pub chips over cooked all most burnt. The Outlander sandwich looked like it was sitting out for an hour. The bottom bun was soggy. Chicken tenders was over cooked. Potato nachos were hard. Waffle fries were hard. Bad experiences for first time coming here. Will not come back. The server looked he didnt want to be there and didn't come back to take our order for 20 minutes, he forgot us! And they weren't even busy. The guy serving our food had greasy shirt no apron and was nice just not presentable. We ate some of the food but this was not a good experience.

Wasn’t too impressed with the food. The chips tasted like they were stale and the burgers as well as the buns were dry. I ended up eating just the hamburger patty as not to choke on the bun

Got there around 6:30and was seated right away. Place got really busy about 7. Food was very good. Service was a bit slow but given staffing issues these days you almost expect that but our server was great. Will be back. 4/21/2023 update: Meet friends for dinner, arrived around 6:30, place was about half full. About 5 minutes or so server took beverage order. Food order placed when drinks arrived. 40 minutes later still no food. After deciding it was time to call it a night and get the check for the drinks the manager stopped by to say sorry the kitchen is slammed. Placed is still half full. Looking forward to the chicken fried chicken. Never happened. Unless you have a couple of hours to wait for your dinner, stop by. Otherwise find somewhere else to eat.

Food was delicious! Our server was prompt and professional. The only drawback was an upcharge of $1.50 for extra ranch that we weren't told when we ordered it. That won't stop us from going back, we just know for next time.

Was here yesterday for lunch. The service was quick and the food was delicious. Look forward to going back.

Superb place to eat. Very surprised with the quality of food and the quantity as well. Both were phenominal. To top it off... The service was unbeatable and the ambiance made me feel right at home! Great menu selections and their attention to detail was worthy of applause. I am heading back there as often as possible!

Nice local hangout w good people, good bar food & cold beer! Ample parking too. Cameron and Nate are ALWAYS friendly and welcoming to us!! ❤️ Thank you!! Seems like one or two of the other bartenders either hate their job, or were just born grouchy?? 😝🫤 We've decided we will only go when Cameron and Nate are tending bar -- spend our money someplace else on their "off" nights. It's a shame, but there are LOTS of other bars nearby! 😃👍

Food was awful. Stopped in after a ride for a bite to a place I have never tried. I won't be stopping in again. Tots over cooked burger so greasy and sloppy the bun tasted like I dipped it in a bowl of grease soup. Do better.

Great food good service. Our server explained menu well. I ordered a Baja burger. It was so good I ordered a to go Baja burger for my son and he liked it very much. Also great sweet potato fries.

The Juicy Lucy... the burger with the special feature of caramelized onions. As soon as I saw it, I wanted to ask our server, "But where are the rest of them?" But he'd already gone. The nozzle on our table's ketchup bottle was MIA. Just a wide open hole. Good luck shaking that thing without getting ketchup water all over the place. Our server walked past us without looking for empty glasses, one of which was displayed at the edge of the table. So he and the restaurant lost out on us staying for another. So, underwhelmed and disappointed is what I was as we left this place tonight. Otherwise, the burger was cooked perfectly medium as the menu stated it would be, and the sweet potato fries are probably top 5 in the greater area. That earned them 4 of 5 stars. But if a burger's special feature is caramelized onions, I expect it to show up with almost too much, and not so little I'm looking for the rest.

Tried the boneless bbq wings, they were ok - nothing special. Mozzarella sticks were tasty. Chips and queso was plain. Wouldn’t return for the food.

Missing Kid Mac & Cheese from order. No queso for two orders of Burnt-End Nachos Kid Pizza was burnt. I seriously love this restaurant but today everything was awful. And DoorDash wont refund me for the item missed. Do yourself a favor and just go eat there they do not seem to care about their DoorDash orders.. Burnt-End Nachos were cold and fatty... very dissapointed this time

The good: Our waitress was very kind and informative, I only tipped for her time. The bad: I was in a group of 3 and we decided to go to this location. When we entered at about 1 there was only 4-5 other people drinking. We were on a lunch break so we had a limited time but thought the timing would be fine because we had an hour and were just next door. Well we shared an appetizer (spinach and artichoke dip) that took a while to get to our table and then another long while till we got our meals. I ended up packing my meal (baked mac and cheese) in a to go box while also eating it. While eating my mac and cheese i suddenly didn’t feel good. Neither did my other two coworkers. We get to work and we just felt worse and worse. I was throwing up when i got home and had to call out work. My other two coworkers were also in the bathroom often. We assume we got sick from the appetizer we had shared… it had to be old or someone wasn’t being sanitary with the food. I was very disappointed because I’ve gone to Talk of the Town bar before but in the Leawood location and had no issues with it. I will not be going to the 119th and Quivira location anymore. I haven’t gotten a chance to call and get a refund. I have not been in a place where the food made me feel instantly sick before.

We tried Brunch here for the first time. The Biscuit with the Country Potatoes was very good. We really enjoyed the Bloody Mary’s. We have very pleased with the food, service and drinks every time we come.

Once again Talk of the Town did a fantastic job of taking care of us! Food is always tasty, and on the rate occasion it's not cooked the way you like they're happy to replace it or cook it again. Wait staff is fantastic, Brooke.....("E" is silent....inside joke) was spot on with her service! She got to our table right away, put our drink order in and never missed a step the entire time we were there. Brooke did it all with a smile, a great attitude, & even though she was taking care of a bunch of tables she never missed a refill or dropping off random sauces we requested. Half price burgers are a great deal, but the staff makes a great experience!

The staff was absolutely awesome, but the food was mediocre. I ordered a burger medium and got one of the more well-done burgers I've seen in awhile. To their credit, the toppings in the burger were great and a lot of their menu items seem very promising. I will definitely give it another shot in case the cook that night was tired

Good sports bar with an outdoor patio and attentive staff. Try half price burger night. Limited gluten free options listed, but with a GF buns available and careful questions when ordering it works. It's a nice comfortable sports bar.

We had a basketball game in overland park so after our game we decided to get something to eat. We was so ready to eat because we was in a big tournament. And we haven't eaten all day long. The manger name was Tyler but they call him Tk he was very rude and act like he didn't want us there. We was going to stay but decided to get our food to go. My players and I was very disappointed because I have spoken very highly of this place. They will never get my business again.

Service was terrible had to ask for my ticket the Chicken Avocado Panini sandwich was missing the bacon, the Pork Tenderloin didn’t have any condiments on it nor any onion or tomato just two pickles on the side and some lettuce. Not sure what the employees issue was today but the vibe wasn’t good we were totally ignored at first I thought it was because we were minority but they were so rude they walked over a older white couple for about 10 minutes before they acknowledged them at the door they seemed to focus all attention on the front table the guy that seated us even sat down up front to visit with them as if there were no customers there. I use to like coming here but trust and believe I’ll never be back to give you my money and be treated as if I’m a bother.

Our group stopped here while visiting in town. We had mozzarella sticks, potato nachos, wings, bacon cheeseburger and the burnt end tacos. Everything was good. The service was amazing...wish I remembered his name to give him a proper shout out. The only negative waa the bathrooms; they sorely need an update.

Decided to try this place for a to go order while in town. Ordered the chicken fried chicken with baked potato and green beans, and some jalapeño poppers. The baked potato was cold, and there was no gravy for the chicken. The breading fell off the chicken as you ate it, so it was more like a plain flat piece of chicken. The jalapeño poppers were supposed to be cream cheese filled, but we're filled with a nasty cheddar cheese instead. Maybe if we ate in it would have been better, but I will definitely not try this place again.

I’ve been going in this place for at least 15 years. Today I went in, first hit with a pungent odor at the front door. I wrote that off as dirty carpet, as it was only at the front door. I ordered a tenderloin sandwich and tea. . Tho the tenderloin itself was good the bun was very stale.& asked if I wanted fries I said yes The “ fries “ were waffle fries which I could live with, but we’re ice cold. The waitress was totally dis interested in service, and when I paid with a $100 bill, asked if I needed change fit a $15.00 bill. Never once asked about refills for the tea or if the food was edible. If that wasn’t enough she then shorts me on the.change. Only 90 cents, but I like all my money back. Then I’ll determine the gratuity. The men’s room wreaked of sewage. I wouldn’t go back for a free dinner. Disgusting.

We love that they open early on Sundays and offer breakfast and lunch! The fried mushrooms come in a huge portion and the ranch dressing is fantastic! Everything we ordered was fresh, hot,and delicious. We will definitely be back to try other items from the menu!
