I went here to watch the KSU Wildcats lose in the Elite 8 round to a school I was very confident we could beat & this wasn't even my biggest disappointment of the night.... First, we were not greeted upon arrival but whatever. Then we ordered loaded chicken nachos & a chicken quesadilla. The nachos were very skimpy and they were burnt. I've never seen burnt nachos before but I fought through them as I was just trying to have a good time & watch the Wildcats. Our bartender even noticed they were burnt & skimpy & proceeded to bring me extra cheese & salsa to help drown out the taste of the burnt nachos. She even apologized afterwards, yet never attempted to replace them. Then we moved to a pool table where we were assigned the worst waitress I've ever experienced. She checked on us maybe 5 times in 5 hours. She even said out loud that she forgot about us at one point. We'd order drinks & it'd take 20 minutes to get to us. I wasn't able to build a buzz until after the game. She even had the audacity to have an attitude with my lady & I for going to the bar to get drinks because she wouldn't come check on us. Finally, to cap things off she attempted to overcharge us by over $100 for drinks. She rang up 18 drinks at full price when they were on sale & we only ordered 12. She even proceeded to throw a shot of her own on my tab when I never once asked her to take A shot with me nor knew I was even being charged for the shot we all took together. I had to actually math all of this out for the bartender. This was my favorite bar up until last night. The food & service were the worst I've ever experienced in my life & I'll never go back.

Alex was the most profound and professional server we’ve ever had! Last night my husband and I were looking for a place that is open late. I called ahead to make sure their kitchen would still be available. I didn’t expect for a place in Johnson county to be open so late! From the moment we arrived Alex treated us with so much care and attention my mind was BLOWN. She was running the entire floor by herself. As a former waitress myself I know how stressful it can be. She even let us know she was short in the kitchen and offered us every accommodation possible to make sure we were well taken care of. The level of customer service was just absolutely unmatched. We will definitely be returning! Thank you Alex for being so incredible

Ordered delivery from Door Dash, a Nashville Hot Chicken Grilled Cheese and Tots…for starters I get my food, open it up and notice immediately there’s no Nashville Hot sauce on the tenders or anywhere on the sandwich from what I can see….although disappointing I assumed it would still be decent…and I was wrong: the chicken was chewy and stringy, completely inedible, and the bread had no taste of Parmesan whatsoever even though it’s advertised as a Parmesan sourdough. I just threw it in the trash. The tots were ok but it’s kinda hard to mess up a frozen potato in a deep fryer I reckon.

We’ve been coming here for a long time and we were seriously ignored for about an hour while the server Keenan visited every other table in the room about 3-4 times. Drinks weren’t consistent, the appetizer platter took an hour to arrive and the bar only appeared to be at about 30% capacity. The food looked like it sat in the window for like 15 min. Won’t be coming back for quite a long time. We were There’s much better places to spend your money around here.

Been visiting this location occasionally over 20 years. Service is generally good for us. Occasionally find slackers. Place is run down. Stools falling apart, ripped cushions. Restrooms are utterly disgusting and stink to high hell. Graffiti. Restrooms alone makes one question how this establishment continues. We go early in the day. No way in hell would I want to be there after dark….

Rated “eh” for us. Food was either OK or not good. Nashville chicken sandwich looked and tasted like it came out of a Tyson frozen bag then thrown on a bun with a pickle slice. You won’t find any sauce or spice here. Best meal was simple chicken tenders. Anything that required more than that was below average. Staff was great, however. Understaffed like everywhere, but unlike most places, the staff effort was there.

My son wanted a good cheeseburger for dinner tonight. I don't eat those anymore but when I did, I used to love the chesseburgers at fox and the hound. Plus we could play a game of pool. Unfortunately it was busy and couldn't get a table. So we sat down and ordered our food. My son loved his burger.

This was way bigger than I had imagined. It was good overall just hard to eat. Had good flavor and the tots were a perfect match for it.

The food is usually good but it is pricey. Service is hit or miss. 12-11-2022 We had a group of 8. Everything took forever, getting menus, getting drinks and getting our food. I had the Nashville Hot chicken mac n cheese and it was close to cold. I asked if I could get one that is hot and I guessed they put it in the microwave, which is fine. It wasn't even warm. It wasn't hot at all, like they put plain chicken tenders on the mac n cheese. It was sooo bad. Everyone else said their food wasn't very good....the double burger, fish and chips and another Nashville hot chicken mac n cheese. Waitress didn't come by to check on us very much. Had all of our dirty dishes on the table over an hour, so we clean it ourselves. Took a long time to get our checks. Food was bad, service didn't really exist. Waste of time again.

Arrived by 445pm and easily obtained a seat at the bar where we were eagerly greeted by a new bartender (we've seen him before at Jose Peppers). He was super friendly and quick to get our drinks. By 515PM the place was flooded with customers. He was smiling and handling all the customers quickly. We had a great time and will be back since we know where he is working now! Great asset employee for Fox and Hound!

This is one of my go-to places to watch a game with friends. Friendly staff, and one of the few bars in the area that will accept large reservations, although I wouldn't put all your eggs in that basket- I once made a reservation for 10, got there 15 minutes early, and ended up waiting for 2 hours before my party was seated. Still love this place though, food is quite good as well.

Really big place and nicely decorated. Has a lot of pool tables and room overall. The food was just ok. French onion soup was very salty, the buffalo cauliflower bites were cold when bright out, and the Nashville Hot Honey Chicken sandwich was a bit better. My biggest issue is that the prices seem higher than average compared to similar places, and when the food underwhelms it becomes disappointing.

Pretty much a dirty pool hall. This place used to be a very decent place to go. Pool is free to play. Food is horrible. Drinks are decent.

If you are a vikings fan you better be there on Sundays or the days they play. I had their boom boom chicken sandwich and it was worth it. Tons of pool tables to play on that are very fast tables so if you like to play bring your sticks. Serves was very good even for the very large group of us that she had to deal with. Plenty of tvs for watching games.

The waiter had the whole area by himself he was very busy and I don't feel like we got personal attention. Not his fault! Tables not cleaned off after people left. He couldn't do it all. Way to busy to handle that whole area 😒

I got like a buffalo chicken something Pizza. The service kind sucked they were not that busy. And it took 20 minutes for them to come back and take my order. When I got my pizza it was under cooked. Awesome if you're going on a date not the best atmosphere extremely loud I couldn't even hear my date talking. But if you're going with friends to play pool or darts I definitely recommend.

This is a great place in order to hang out with friends, although I will say the food prices are very high for what you get. We paid $17 for nachos thinking that would be pretty big, but they only were able to serve one person. It was kind of disappointing but the overall vibe of the establishment was great and I really liked the pool tables!

Food was decent. The double bacon burger grilled cheese was really bland though, which was disappointing. Our server was good, very attentive. The problem we had and the reason for the poor review is because my 5 year old nephew was with us and we were trying to teach him how to play pool. He was having a great time learning, but was having a hard time hitting the ball with the small tip. So we told him to turn the stick around and hit it with the larger end to make it a little easier. He wasn’t being rough and we didn’t see an issue with it because it wasn’t damaging anything. Well a lady, who I am assuming was a manager, came over and told him that he needed to stop and that the pool tables weren’t there for kids to play on. I found it extremely rude. He wasn’t hurting anything or anybody and it crushed him. Especially because we had told him it was okay. I feel that if it was a problem, she should have addressed us and politely ask that WE ask him to stop. If he was older I would understand her going straight to him. But he’s FIVE. I found it extremely unprofessional and insensitive. Very disappointing experience.

Food was sub par bar food. Advertised Summer dogs. There were none. Specials every day except Friday. Lots of pool tables and TVs. Good place for a drink but not a meal

Went on a Monday night. Had a half rack of ribs, which was the Monday special. Server was sweet, and seemed new, but we all gave to start somewhere. Food was ok. Atmosphere ok too.

I didn’t eat. I am a darker skinned whit person and the general manager Charlie made a point just to ignore me since I was colored as the help… I would not recommend this place unless you want to stiff the bar with a visa debit card. If you do that tip your bartender fat. My server Victoria was absolutely fantastic!! She’s amazing and should be in Charlie’s position.

The drinks are good, this was the sangria. The onion soup is way too salty and the voodoo burger was too spicy. But if you're looking for a place for drinks and play pool, darts, table tennis or more than its the right place for you!

I have been on the fence for a long time about writing a review about this place because I only write positive reviews. (No point in wasting time on horrible experiences...) See out of the 9 different times I have been the only time I felt welcomed or had quality service is when either Emily or Sydney was there working. However last night despite low traffic, I finally had a great time there and quality service by someone who usually never smiles. Not only that the South West Cobb Salad I ordered was impeccable! If you order it don't get the red peppers it had a hidden kick that starts to catch up with you. ( I'm horrible when it comes to spicy food.) As you can see the presentation is something you would have expected on the plaza! The volume of food on the plate was sure to fill me up and it did. Not only that but she had coffee waiting to be brewed for me and my mentor. Its these small things that show that we are welcomed and remembered. For that you guys get my vote and I will continue to come back. 👍

Edit as of 7/25/23: Sadly, I have to change my 5 star review to a 3. This place recently had a renovation, but despite no real changes to the decor, pool tables, or menu items, the one thing that did change was the prices, which are excessive now. My friends and I all agreed that the drinks and food have gotten noticably more expensive, to the point where I am hesitant to return. 8.50 for a Blue Moon? That might fly downtown, but not at a neighborhood bar and grill. I am very sad to see this, as what used to be a consistent spot to go for me and my friends may be skipped over in the future. Original review: What a hidden gem. Unlimited pool if you buy food and drinks. And drinks are very well priced. Food is a little expensive but it's not a big deal. Overall, tons of fun and I'll be back again!

Super divey fun little bar with pool and ping pong. But there is a “regular” who walks around drunk and makes weird comments to people and specifically women. He’s also friends with the bartender, as they stood outside to smoke and stared and pointed at us inside. He made my friends and I feel very uncomfortable as he tried to enforce his own rules but always finished his statements with “I don’t work here but …” . Weird dude totally killed the vibe.

Friendly staff great atmosphere. Ordered the Apple Sour Martini. Did not taste any alcohol. Martinis are supposed to be strong. We may still return but won't order specialty drinks.

Nice big place. They had an interactive trivia on the tv where anyone could join just by using the phone and the internet so that was entertaining🤳📱. Haha. Food is decent. They are supposedly known for their burgers 🍔 and 🥪 sandwiches and tots. The sandwich I got was super interesting. It had like honey 🍯 or something which gave it a rather odd flavor but it wasn’t bad! Chill place. They also have outdoor seating! 👍

Initial perceptions are that of a bar, in smell, in atmosphere, and in lighting and decor. However, the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich was phenomenal, the Tank 7 was cold and crisp, and the bartenders were affable and engaging. I'm picky, but I'll be back. I really like the Fox & Hound.

Awesome fun place! GREAT wings and one of the best burgers we have had! The server was awesome. Fun, funny and made our experience a great one. We will be back!

Found it at like midnight had had a late night at work, took the crew in there. I had the southwest Philly cheese steak, it was delicious, one of the best I've had in a long while. We played pool while we waited on our orders about 25 min. Worth the wait, everyone enjoyed the food and pool.

Convenient location. Plenty of excitement and beverages to choose from. Pool table room was extremely hot. Not many guests around, however, temperature regulation seems to be poor. Price is average to high. Depending on the days you go, crowd varies.

Had our friends birthday party there last night. There were plenty of pool tables open, we played arts which was a lot of fun and Skee ball. Really wanted to play hoops but the machine wasn't working. The drinks were good. The fish and chips were yummy so were the chili cheese fries

This place was recommended to us by a worker at Buffalo Wild Wings nearby. We came by to catch a game on tv. Had some drinks tried the sampler and it was good for bar food. Place was busy but the servers were doing a good job even though we were not any of the locals. Looks like they had pool tables on both sides of the bar pretty chill place.

Bad service. Our table was ignored most of the night. Had to ask for ranch three times and when it was brought out 30 minutes after receiving the food, the waitress put 5 half cup contains on the table to be petty. Blamed the problem on the kitchen when it was apparent that she decided from the moment we sat down to not serve us and instead make multiple trips to the two other tables she was serving that evening. Overall, poor experience which is sad because we have gone here before for games and drinks without issue before.

I went there with a friend and I walked over to the bar to order a drink and the white female bartender told me I couldn't sit at a certain place at the bar because someone else was sitting there. I told her I just wanted to order a drink, so she gave me the drinks, and I went to a table with my friend. (Me and my friend are both African American). I noticed while watching the bar, no one was sitting at the place she claimed they would, and she constantly kept throwing mean looks my way. I felt so uncomfortable that I wanted to leave. I ordered some food but I was afraid to eat it. I think if you're a white person you may have a good time there, but if your black be prepared to know your place, (which is in the back by the pool tables), because its not up front at the bar. Location is off of 105th and Metcalf in Overland Park Ks.

Filthy! Table was dirty, condiment bottles were sticky and disgusting. I have seen Porta potties with cleaner toilets. My Cole slaw and tarter sauce were warm. Water had something floating in it. Waiter was rude. Several people came in and walked out. We should have, also. Not sure if this the same as Tulsa location but, we love Tulsa Fox and Hound.

We made reservations for Fathers Day online. We get there on time and the entire place is empty and they tell us to sit anywhere. (Why did we make reservations for an empty restaurant?) Every low table that has enough seats for our party of 6 was dirty with no one attempting to clean them, so we sat at a high top while my poor baby in her highchair couldn't see anyone since she was a foot below the table. After waiting 20 minutes in an empty, a server came and said "be with you in a minute" which became another 10 minutes. So after hall an hour, we finally ordered drinks. 15 more minutes pass without seeing our server so we decided to pack up and go to a different restaurant. As we were leaving, someone comes out to try and take our order. They did comp our 1 Coke and 1 tea. But after such a bad experience, especially on a day we were trying to celebrate , we likely won't be back

Went back a few times after their "remodel" some of the food was better. Maybe consider cleaning, the bathrooms especially. Management still talks down on their employees when they need help, because there's only 1 bartender, 2 servers and all 3 rooms are full. After 10 years I finally give up up on this place.
