This place is like a Diamond in the rough of restaurants! 5 of us dined in for a birthday and 4/5 of us had a genuinely great experience. We highly recommend the jumbo wings in sweet chili sauce, and the brownie Sunday dessert! The waitresses were very kind and helped each other out. Our only issue was when the cook sent out visibly inedible food (see asparagus photo), and when the portion of our $18 lobster Mac was a size meant for a child. Other than that this place is somewhere we would visit again and just stick with the menu items that are simple yet delicious. Oh and also, PLENTY of GLUTEN FREE options!

Always an excellent experience at BC Bistro. I had the BC Burger and my girlfriend had the Seafood Pasta. My burger had a stuffed patty full of cheese, (a little) jalapeno and bacon. Other than being messy to eat, it was great. I heard the pasta was really tasty as well. We shared a slice of French toast cheesecake for dessert, having to take it home because the portions are quite generous. The staff here are very kind, personable yet professional without being uptight about it. We'll be returning again in the near future!

We decided to go to BC Bistro on a whim. We didn’t regret it and will definitely return. The was good was fresh and the service was great. I love places like this.

That is the spicy jalapeño and pineapple infused tequila! Very well done. I had the spicy Italian sandwich which was very good. The calamari was delicious too.

Pineapple Jalepeño Margarita was awesome & Chicken fried streak special was fantastic! Great recommendation and super nice owners and locals to chat with. Very glad I came here as a solo work trip traveler for dinner.

I read that BC Bistro was a hidden gem, and that was an understatement. From entrance to exit, I was impressed. I was so impressed that I had to nitpick to find any flaws. The service was very good in all facets. Hostess, food runner, waitress, and bartender. We came on Friday night, and it was fairly busy, but we didn't have to wait to be sat. We sat in the dining area. There were tv's all along the wall, but the walls were decorated with artwork that made it feel more homey than the sports bar. We ordered drinks and entrees all together. After we ordered, we decided on getting the calamari appetizer, so we told the waitress who brought our drinks. I fully expected the calamari to come out either with our food or right before. The app came out within minutes, it seemed. It was hot, fresh, lightly battered, and delicious. We smashed the app at a leisurely pace, and then the food came out also hot, fresh, and delicious. Timed perfectly. My wife ordered the seafood pasta, my son the French dip (au jus was a bit salty), and I ordered the crab crusted salmon. I can't say enough about the obvious quality of our meals. Good portions, fresh ingredients, and it was all cooked to perfection. The flavors of my meal were incredible! You know how it is when you have to close your eyes and tilt your head back a bit while you Mmmmmm to yourself? Yep, that was it! I wanted to lick the plate, but I kept my composure. I had strawberry cheesecake for dessert. 10/10. My son got the brownie sundae 10/10, i think, and my wife, the new York cheesecake with chocolate. 5/10. Guys, where the heck are y'all getting your strawberries because they were sooo good! Sweet and fresh like they were out of a spring garden. But it's the end of winter. This little spot off the beaten path is WELL worth the little detour. I wouldn't be surprised to see it as a top eatery if they keep up the great work.

My fiance and I visited for the first time to celebrate his birthday. He had a massive, delicious burger and fries and I had the warm goat cheese salad. It was very good! The atmosphere is nice and the servers are very kind but the food was a little slow. They offered a free birthday dessert and we chose the German chocolate cheesecake. We agreed it was one of the best desserts we had both had in our entire lives!!! We will certainly be back!

For a restaurant in a non-descript strip mall in north KC, our meal was a surprising delight. Perfectly grilled chicken with a nicely tangy Caesar dressing enlivened the chicken Caesar salad entree. Chicken salad on croissant was obviously house made and tasty. Homemade fries quite tasty! Service was very attentive. After asking for a glass for my 1st beer (Boulevard Tank 7, awesome!), second beer was delivered already poured. Truly delightful experience.

I called in two orders to bring home, chicken fried chicken with potatoes and gravy, green beans. The dinners were delicious, well above par. The portions were extremely generous, we will finish them tonight, enough for a second dinner. I’ll fix salads with them. Never dined there, saw their ad on Facebook and it looked good… it was 😊 price was about where other places are. Thanks for a great meal..meals. So the first thing I have to say about this place is the staff is phenomenal I'm one of the people who manage to drink a lot of water throughout the entire meal and never once did I want for a refill they were already bringing it or filling the glass as the thought arose and for me that is simply amazing. Not to be outdone by the level of service the food was equally fantastic I got their shrimp and crab dip for a starter if you love crab rangoon or just love crab and shrimp you will love this dip and they give you enough for two or three people. Their soup of the day was also extremely good lots of flavor there was chicken in every bite, and the French dip was perfection, the flavor was spectacular the meat was cooked perfectly absolutely 100% recommend it. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a good date night or if you're just looking for a casual dinner the atmosphere is wonderful.

Wanted a new place to celebrate with out of town friends. BC Bistro graciously accommodated our large group. We ordered drinks, appetizers, salads, and entrees. Everything was delicious, from the home made salad dressings to flavorful dishes. Our servers were friendly and efficient. Get the crabs cakes!!!

Came here for dinner! I got the mozzarella sticks for an appetizer with ranch and mariners sauce. They were home made so good. The breading was flavorful and had a crisp to it and the ranch was homemade as well. I got the Blackened Chicken Linguini for my meal. It was amazing! Probably one of the best pasta meals I have had at a restaurant. Highly recommend the appetizer and entree. The staff were very friendly, and quick with the drink refills. Can’t wait to go back!

Food and drinks nicely prepared and presented. Happy Hour pricing was very reasonable. Our server was a bit of a novice, but very pleasant and helpful. It was obvious that she had received training, but the information was new to her. Sure she will do well with repetition. Overall, an enjoyable experience, and we will be back.

Laid back atmosphere, friendly knowledgeable service as well. I was there for a Core Connection lunch. I had the goat cheese salad and it was perfect. I appreciated the laid back atmosphere. Most bistros I have visited are kind of stuffy. I will be bringing the family in the near future. Than you!

I've always liked everything we've had at this restaurant. I do think food costs have significantly increased with the pandemic like everywhere else though. I find myself not really going as often for the price tag when it use to be a fairly regular spot to pop and get a bite.

I heard about this restaurant on Facebook and I'm always excited to try locally owned places. The food was amazing. We had an appetizer, the daily special and dessert. I can't wait to go back and try even more menu items. Highly recommend!

Tried BC Bistro for the first time with my hubby and enjoyed a delicious Valentines Day lunch. I had the blackened chicken linguini which was fantastic! Hubby had the seafood pasta, and cleaned his plate! We also had the risotto balls for an appetizer and honestly, would go back for those alone. Service was great as well! Will definitely be returning and will bring some friends with us next time.

My husband and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE coming here. We’ve become regulars to a degree. Their staff is amazing and personable. The drinks and food are absolutely incredible. It’s our go to spot. We love BC. Kinda bummed that they’re temporarily closed, but I hope great things are happening for them, regardless. They’re just simply great people.

Had a tremendous visit! This used to be our favorite Northland dinner spot, however since the pandemic the quality and service really disappointed. I am happy to report this dinner meal brought it right back to exceptional quality! The food was amazing, service was great too! Let’s hope things are back to normal!

My wife and I really enjoyed our visit. I had a French dip with fries which was very good. My wife had the salmon avocado club and loved it. Prices were good, nice clean restaurant. The 3 people working that we talked to were very friendly. We enjoyed it so much that we're going back today.

Our server I didn't catch her name, was awesome and so kind. Our food was wonderful and huge portions for very reasonable prices. Our magical lemonade was one of the most amazing bar drinks ive ever had and absolutely beautiful in appearance. This is very upscale food and drinks and service for a fraction of the price as normal upscale restaurants. The mac n cheese was also amazing! Our family will absolutely be coming back here.

This was lovely! Was seated at the bar and had just a super time. Drinks were good, the nachos and salad were delicious and the entree I took home for later was still amazing half cold and a couple hours later. The regulars next to me were wonderful and a perk. Also did not realize til halfway through that the bartender is also the owner and she was also exceptional, both as a bartender and just generally. I felt so welcome and am excited to go back as soon as possible!

Went in around 12:45. Ordered by 1:00. Food came around 1:40. Ticket showed that our order hadn't been sent until 1:15. Burger was overcooked, child's steak way under cooked. Wife's chicken sandwich was dry. I had been told how wonderful this place was, but I won't go out of my way to return. Slow service and a little overpriced considering that the food wasn't anything special.

We made a reservation for a large dinner party and had a great time. Food was fresh and delicious. Please try the chef’s cheesecake special of the day/week. It’s not too rich and unique. I had the strawberry snickerdoodle cheesecake! The seafood pasta, calamari, classic salad, and seafood dip were spectacular! We will definitely go back when we’re in town.

The menu is diverse, we had a difficult time choosing. Everything was delicious. Food was hot. We even splurged on dessert apple cobbler. Oh my, so yummy. The waiter was wonderful, too. We plan yo return again soon.

Great local one-off spot. Good variety of drink/food options for a variety of tastes. All food we had was tasty. Way better than "bar food" without a fancy/snobby feel or price. Seating nicely spread out on the non-bar side. Great service. We don't live close by, but will visit again when we're that way.

Nice place located in a strip mall. We visited on a week night, while they were doing a brisk business, it wasn't crowded. Service was solid and timely. The only slowness was the order could have come out quicker. The wife's seafood pasta was outstanding. My sirloin was correctly cooked, just a tad chewy. The asparagus was delicious. Prices are fair, but they were higher than the online menu. Without a doubt we'll be back.
