This place has a fun and casual vibe. Fun writing and stickers all over the walls. We had pizza and a Philly cheese steak. I really like the thin crust on their pizza and the flavors were tasty. I didn't personally try the Philly, but the member of our party that had it said it was very good. House margaritas were good. It is a smaller restaurant and it filled up quickly. I will definitely go back.

Didn't know what to order so they recommended a Philly. That had to be the best Philly I've had in years! AWESOME!!

Fun place with very good wings and great beer selection. The outdoor area is roomy. The wait staff are funny and eclectic. I would like to see a show in the mini amphitheater.

Good pizza and great beer selection. Not my favorite style of pizza but good. Great atmosphere and attentive staff. This place was suggested by a friend. Would definitely send some other people here.

You just expect Grinders to be busy on a Saturday with a concert scheduled the same night, so we didn’t really expect to get a table, but NEEDED some pizza and decided to try.  Not only did we get a table, but we had great service to boot!  And the NY style pizza was fantastic and exactly what our day drinking group needed.

The place was a change from regular restaurants but loved the scene. Very industrial street style with emo rock mixed in. I tried the Baja burger and burger tasted meh, needed more flavor in meat. What was tasty on it was the bacon. It had a sweet and salty taste that made you want to taste more of it but that's all. It needs something else within the burger to compliment it. My wife and daughter shared a Margarita pizza. The delivery was good, it looked good but it lacked tomato sauce. It was very greesy and nothing wrong with that but when you are not drinking alcohol beverages you don't want just that feeling and taste. What really made me love that place was the fries, chips and tots. Best tots that I have ever tasted. The seasoning and crispyness of the outside was amazing and on the inside still soft. I had them add cheddar cheese on top and that threw me over with the deliciousness. Will be back for more of that and to try other burgers and wings. Also tried the fried mushrooms and that was also really good. Let's just say that my daughter loved it and she is not normally a mushroom lover. Service by the was quick and with super smiles. Loved the staff.

Cool venue if they didn't have the sound booth RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEATING/STANDING. Half the people that went to the show could only see the bottom half of the band. Who came up with this? Otherwise we had a great time!

For someone with ADHD it can be a bit overwhelming. But the vibe was great and people were friendly. So it more than made up for it!

Absolutely amazing place. If you're from out of town, or if you are a local this is the spot to be! Amazing food, decent prices, tons of ipa boozes to fulfill your desires.

We went on a Sunday like an hour before they closed so they were only serving pizza. Our little girl who has allergies they were sweet enough to get her some veggies that she could eat. Our two year old LOVED everything all over the walls! And we thought the pizza was really good. We got the smaller size which was plenty for two adults and one munchkin. I think if you ordered salad with it we could have fed 4 adults. The pizza had stretchy hot cheese and a crunchy yet soft crust!

Absolutely awesome food and service. The Philly was as close to authentic as you can possibly get in the Midwest. Great pizza and wings as well. I highly recommend you try the Death Nectar wings! And again, awesome service! We will definitely be back.

The food was wonderful! Our server was very nice and understanding regarding a dietary issue. We got the mozzarella sticks and shared a "big house" pizza. Fair warning though the sauce they use has some spice to it.

Good Pizza, but could have been so much better if the young lady who took my phone order had followed my directions to have my 2 pizzas ready at the later time requested. If so, they would not have been received cold. As my first time here, I was hoping for a better experience.

Grinders truly outdid themselves as hosts for our October Queer Bar Takeover. They skillfully adapted their space to perfectly accommodate our group, and the staff was exceptional. The addition of fire pits created a warm and inviting atmosphere, fostering connections and conversations. And let's not forget the mouthwatering pizza - it was a delightful surprise. It was a perfect way to welcome the beautiful fall weather. Grinders KC provided a night filled with warmth, camaraderie, and unforgettable flavors, making it a truly exceptional experience.

This is a short review of the outside area. This place is always a joy. Concerts always sound really good, big space to navigate. You can get plenty of pizza and drinks without even leaving the event space or going in the building. Highly recommend. This place needs more shows coming through it!!!

Everything about Grinders is great! The food is tasty, the service is friendly, the atmosphere is fantastic. This is our first time here, I will definitely come back. Whoever is in charge of the music playlist needs a raise for playing absolute bangers. The slices of pizza are as big as your face!

Quick warning, nothing but pizza after 7pm. That said, their pies are on friggin point. Nothing else to say about that. Went back the next day for the Phillys we went for (Phillies?). I had the stretch (adds pastrami), my brother and son had the regular, we all got trailer park tots. Was it Geno’s? No. Was it great? Yes. As good a Philly as you will get outside Philly. Owner was outside working on their stage which I’d love to see a show in one day, he and his dog are super nice. He told us he’s from Philly and in no case would he use some kind of Whiz replacement. Good on him! I think the best thing I can say about Grinders is that I will go there every time I’m in KC. (I went last time for to-go slices, had a small issue that they made right.) Google doesn’t have a click for it, but they are very dog-friendly. We didn’t have ours but a lot of people on the patio did. Guess I didn’t take a pic of the pie.

Very laid back atmosphere. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. This was our first time here. I ordered a chicken fajita salad and it had lots of good flavors. The only thing I would have changed was the chicken being dry. The bloody Mary's take on a smokey peppered taste, but were very good. Our food came out odd.. we had 2 pizzas & a calzone delivered to our party. They were finished eating before the salads and burger were delivered to the table. Will definitely visit again to try other things. The kids loved seeing peoples dogs so that was a plus!

I stopped here for lunch it was not very crowded the fried mushrooms were very good and I loved the Chili cheese fries. The Philly was ok but nothing special. Overall I would eat here again
