I remember when Seva first opened, it was some of the best food in Kansas City and it quickly became a regular for my family and I. Sadly I moved to Boston 5 years ago, but I still drop in for dinner or the buffet every time I make it back to KC, they never disappoint. The food is excellent, they are have always been happy to accommodate any reasonable request, and the staff is always so friendly. Seva continues to be one of my favorite places, nearly worth the trip to KC on its own.

I really, really love and appreciate Indian cuisine. But this buffet was very disappointing for $18 a person. We must make peace with the death of Indian cuisine lunch buffets in KC’s post-covid world. I know we all miss it, but this will not fill the void unfortunately.

The butternut squash dish and pakora was exceptional. We tried the lunch buffet and the rest of the dishes were just okay, i thought the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken were too heavy on the cream and upset my stomach a bit. I also enjoyed the baked fish option which was a unique offering. I didn’t care for the kheer but it tasted good mixed into my their coconut soup. The staff and service was really good.

As someone who is from India, I would never come back to this place. The food here doesn’t resemble Indian cuisine flavors at all. Their buffet barely has 10 items. I couldn’t even finish the plate I started with for their buffet. I am very disappointed. The only good thing is the ambience.

Amazing Indian food, and they even have a buffet on the weekends! Who doesn't love a good buffet? I decided to try this out because I was curious about what the food would consist of. They had a small but delicious selection of food. My favorite was the butter chicken. Overall, I would highly recommend it. It will get you full and be a delicious time.

Sooo, I have to say these guys made my birthday dinner with my family a great experience. They had 3 big parties and were on point with all of them. The food is fresh... The food tasted so delicious. I love the style of service, meaning how it is plated. It was like a homely experience. Our servers made sure that answered My and all questions. They were patient and treated us with respect. I am glad we went there after the horrid experience at Masabi japanese restaurant. We all said we would be back and we will. Thanks Masabi for being jerks. We would have missed out on an excellent experience at SEVA Indian restaurant.

I’m not sure if this is a just a local spot that people have been coming to for a while. But as an out of towner, this was beyond disappointing. Every dish was not good. The squash dish was repulsive and the rice pudding tasted like bath water. And while the table service was good. The actual buffet was small, consistently empty, and the food was very very bad. 0/5, would not return if you paid me.

The buffet was small and the options were extremely limited. Often times, they did not have all of their food options available because they were constantly running out. The food was not good at all. There are better options for Indian Food. Their food lacked flavor. I tried this spot as an out of towner but was was disappointed with the food and the availability. The table service was very good and very attentive. However, they had limited options for their buffet and it was about $18 per person which seems highly unjustifiable for this place.

If you are looking for some of the best Indian food in the KC area; this is the place! They have options for pretty much everyone including different proteins, vegetarian options and halal. While I love bbq, burgers and anything else meat based, I always order from their vegetarian menu. Some of their best dishes include garbanzo beans and paneer cheese. BUT, if you are new to Indian food you can always try the butter chicken. Definitely try the mango lassi and make sure to get naan....and Chai tea.

This is my favorite restaurant on Earth. I come here for every special event and any excuse I can find. Everything is cooked perfectly, the staff is incredibly polite and friendly and it's super clean. The kitchen is amazingly flexible and can accommodate most dietary needs, and levels of spice (which seems to be a big concern when I bring friends to try Indian for the first time). The buffet is a great way to try lots of variety and it's all served pretty mild. I prefer ordering from the menu so I can increase the spice level, but you can't go wrong here. I have a standing agreement with anyone I talk into going to Seva with me for the first time. If they don't like it, I pay for it and then buy lunch across the street at Chipotle. I've never had to pay. Check tripadvisor. Seva is consistently in the #1 or #2 spot of their "best restaurants in KC" list, and for good reason. Get in your car and go to Seva, right now. Thank me later.

Perfect spot for a tasty buffet lunch on the weekend or takeaway on fast paced weeknight. Haven't had a dish I disliked yet and there are so many wonderful GF and vegetarian options as well - they even make GF roti and veggie pakora! If you like dishes with a kick (like we do), they will adjust the spice to order - just ask for hot instead of the mild version of your favorite menu items. The staff are always friendly and all of this makes Seva my go-to northland stop for Indian cuisine.

So fresh and hearty and delicious! I was looking for good vegan food in this area and Seva came through! I got pakoras, daal, and aloo gobi from the buffet and they were all great. I normally am not that into daal (lentils) and find them to be a little plain, but these were really good! They also had fresh salad and watermelon on the buffet. Nourished & happy after leaving here!

I use to enjoy coming here all the time for the lunch buffet but now it's only available on the weekends. Selection is minimal but really tasty. My goto Indian restaurant. The service/staff is top notch and friendly. Love coming here.

Some of the most delicious Indian food I've had in the United States!! Their cuisine is consistently outstanding! We always try something new and have never been disappointed, but the korma, bombay, and butter chicken are stand-out favorites. Plus, they always have free chai available for their customers, which is really nice on cold winter days. We love this place and go often. Even our picky teenager loves the food.

Went with my husband to try this place out. We very much enjoyed the experience. It was delicious, and they had complimentary chai tea 🍵. Their mango Lassi was phenomenal. I got the medium lamb masala and garlic Naan. If you like toasty Naan, then this place if for you, I'm more of a soft cheesy Naan girl, so they missed the mark with that. I also wish the rice was seasoned differently. It seemed a little plain to me. However, it still went well with the masala.

My boyfriend and I have dined here several times, and it's always wonderful. It's no surprise that they are always busy during the dinner hours. The servers are over-the-top great, the food is amazing, and there's even complimentary chai tea. Our favorite restaurant in Liberty!

Why did it take me so long to find this treasure? My family had an absolutely delightful experience at Seva Indian Cuisine! From the moment we stepped in, the warm ambiance and inviting aromas set the tone for an incredible meal. The menu offered a small range of authentic Indian dishes, but each was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The staff was attentive and our cups were never empty. They even come around with grilled chicken to your table so you don’t have to get up. The spices and ingredients used were of the highest quality, resulting in dishes that were both rich and well-balanced. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Indian cuisine or a newcomer, Seva Indian Cuisine is a must-visit for a legitimate Indian cuisine dining experience. We will be back!

A journey of flavor awaits you at this restaurant!! My fiance and I decided to come to this restaurant for our first times ever having Indian food. Let me say that it was one of the most amazing moments we've ever had with food!! The Chicken Masala and long grain rice were out of this world! Every bite took us on an epic adventure from the deep and rich flavors!! The Chai tea was wonderful and paired nicely with the food! Lastly, the Garlic Nan was cooked perfectly! It tasted so good by itself and went well with the Masala! Will come back to this restaurant 100%! I unfortunately did not grab a before photo of the food.

Fantastic food was super delicious. Most of the dishes are gluten free, they even had gluten free roti. This was my first time being able to try Nan! Our group of six chose quite a few different dishes to share. Very good quality food and came to us very hot. We ordered several different times during our visit and each time the servers were extremely kind, and polite, very helpful with all of our questions and requests. We were helped my multiple employees and they were all incredibly friendly and made us feel like they were happy to help us and were very attentive. Will definitely come again, and recommend this to anyone who needs to eat gluten free. The murals on the walls were really beautiful and I loved the large tree and the peacocks!

As a vegan/gluten-free diner, it’s often tough to find places to eat. Seva has saved the day on countless occasions! Everything we have had has been delicious, friends and family who join us are also giant fans. Go! You won’t be disappointed!

  • 4/5 Casey H. 1 year ago on Google
Very good! We all ordered different dishes to share which I would definitely recommend doing. The spice was just as we ordered. Even the waiter checked to make sure it was to our liking. Food came quickly. Love that they have gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. The tea came with the meal. It was very good. My only complaint was my tea cup was dirty already with tea marks that I was able to remove with a wet napkin. Mine needed cleaned and wasn’t the only one my friends was dirty too. It just made me slightly weary on cleanliness of all the dishes.

This restaurant has amazing Indian food. Everytime I have went, I have been shocked by how good the food is. I always get the chicken tikka masala along with the garlic cilantro naan and it never fails to be perfect. Almost everything they offer is halal too! It is worth every cent. The inside looks very nice and the service is great as well. Really recommend!

We moved to Kansas City about a year ago and this is the restaurant we have frequented the most. It has never disappointed. Ever. The ingredients and flavors are fresh and the people are top-rate friendly. The gluten free choices are extensive (GF roti bread!) The chai is always included in your meal; it’s strong with the perfect level of spice & sweetness, IMO. Now we are moving out of the area again and trying to figure out how to kidnap an entire restaurant to take with us!!

One of the best Indian places I've ever been. Not quite as spicy as i wanted, but the amazing flavor made up for that. I think I found my new favorite beer in Flying Horse.

I can't say enough good things about Seva Cuisine. The food is amazing and cooked to your spice level. The staff is friendly and hard working. I've eaten there dozens of times and never once had bad food or service.

Service was good but this isn’t authentic Indian food. Its very Very bland for us made for only American palette not for one’s that expects spicy/ Indian flavors.Indian food is all about flavors I felt it very pricey for the food options they have. Buffet is 17.99 +tax per person. Definitely over priced for the food they have In conclusion , this place is not for you If you are looking for authentic Indian or flavorful food If you are looking for spicy food If you are looking for lot of food options in buffet

Their sauces always have the richest and best flavors. The staff are super helpful and polite. Their Chai is amazing. I have had several menu items and all of them have been great. This is one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to!
