My 1st & LAST time coming here. The food looked AMAZING but that is where the amazement stopped. I have never had a steak as bland as this one and this (ribeye) is a flavorful steak by itself but this was far from it. Then to insult us even further, my steak was not cooked properly 😒. The greatest items of our meal was my drink and carrot cake...both were phenomenal. Also, we sat at the bar & although she/the bartender made great drinks, she lacks people skills.

This place is really delicious. The steak I got I could cut with a butter knife. The chef and servers know what they're doing. It was definitely a phenomenal experience.

Fantastic wood fired filet… I chose the 6oz, and it was outstanding. Nice mild smoky flavor, seasoned just right. I’ve had many steaks across the Midwest and this was one of the best. The potatoes were solid and green beans were average, although I did do them without the shallot and pecan topping. Thanks for a great meal and pleasant outdoor dining experience. The service was great, Caleb did a wonderful job.

Absolutely fantastic food. The smoked old fashioned was killer too. One of the best filets I've had as well. The scallops were cooked perfectly and fresh as well. Highly recommend Edward and this establishment.

Came for our anniversary, but honestly wasn't wowed about the food at all, especially after dropping over $350. Lobster was rubber. Crab cake tasted strongly of canned crab. At least rinse off some of the preservatives! Trout overcooked. Risotto still crunchy. Best part were the oysters, but the rest, including the dried 'fresh' rolls were not good. Raspberry in the creme brulee had mold in it. Yeah, it's the middle of America so can't expect a lot from the seafood, but no excuse for overcooking a fresh lobster and mold.

The swordfish was outstanding!!! The calamari was fried perfectly with jalapeños and carrots and the 2 different dips were superb. My Caesar's salad with grilled chicken was so big it made 2 meals. Definitely worth a fancy night on the town!!! Zella was an angel of a server!!!

Fabulous food and service! Who doesn’t adore those biscuits hot off the sheet pan? We enjoyed the steak and the seafood. Great wine selection.

First time trying this spot and will not be returning. My lady and I ordered the chicken and waffles (which were good) and the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were drastically overcooked and the grits were disgusting. It was so bad we had to return it. We ended up trying the lemon shrimp pasta dish, but that was bland with a weird flavor. We ultimately kept it because we were ready to go at that point. However, the ambiance and service was really good. Jessica was awesome!

Excellent food - I recommend steak and lobster, since the steak is local and the lobster is the only seafood you'll know arrived in KC alive. High price point for the quality/atmosphere. I don't know what meatheads need screens everywhere with ESPN playing NASCAR time trials while at fine dining...

Beautiful restaurant with amazing food. I enjoyed the surf and turn with filet mignon, shrimp, roasted potatoes and lobster Mac and cheese. My boyfriend had the rib eye with roasted potatoes and broccolini. My meal was flavorful and quite finger licking. I wish the Mac and cheese was a bit more cheesy.

Not worth it!!! It was my second attempt, well every one deserves a second chance, right? Expensive, and the atmosphere they try to convey does not go with the service at all. Ok let's start. 0. Tables dirty. Your hands, arms, coat. etc, stick to the surface of the table. Please clean them. Why did I stay? Yes, I changed tables. See intro above. 1. The restaurant is empty (just 3 tables occupied). You'll understand this later after looking at the pics. 2. Rush service. WHY????. It's empty. People like restaurants that are busy. Why are you rushing me? 3. Ordered salad. Specifically ask server to hold on my main course. No! I was halfway through my salad and there it was my main getting cold. What? Did you listened to me? May I finish my salad? 4. I saved the cheese cracker of my salad to have it with my crabs cakes. No cigar. This guy flies buy and just grabs my bread plate like it was a Picasso at the Salvation Army Thrift Store. 5. Misconception regarding menu. "Crab cakes really good enough to make a meal of..." What? They aren't good for appetizers? They should judging by the size? Taste wise, NO! Please go watch Alton Brown's for its recipe, seriously. 6. Ok it was bad. Let's try coffee. Well... It was a good expresso, I have to say it. 7. Please let me at least enjoy my expresso. the place is empty, stop asking me if I'm ready. I see the bill there, when I'm ready I'll sign it. Oh, yes...no service. no tip! 8. Waitress took the bill. I've not signed yet, does it mean I can go? (after all they have been rushing me). Or it's just my cowboy hat that intimidates them? 9. No I did not dine and dash. Patiently waited, and yes I tipped (felt sorry for the untrained server). 10. Choose another restaurant, there are plenty options in the Power and Light District in KS MO. PS. I gave one ⭐️ because ZERO was not an option!

Excellent service. I ordered the beef tenderloin medium and it came out medium well (nothing pink). I sent it back and it came out medium well again. I accepted it. The server was gracious and accommodating. The beef wasn't very good quality and was over done. I might return, but I wouldn't order beef. They gave me a carrot cake complementary which was delicious.

My husband and I stopped in for a spontaneous late lunch/ early dinner and let me tell you we were not disappointed at all. Gregory was our server and he did a fantastic job taking care of us. He was very professional, super polite and his attention to detail is spot on. The food was fantastic too. I had the crab cakes and hubby had the oysters and soup. We will definitely be back and will definitely be asking for Gregory.. Thank you for a wonderful meal away from home. Sincerely, Dena.

Ordered 3 dishes: Oysters Rockefeller, Lobster Risotto, Goat cheese Bruschetta. Oysters were served over a bed of table salt instead of rock salt so the shells picked up a bunch of extra salt. Risotto was tasty but had crunchy rice bits. When manager came by he offered to get a replacement risotto that was much better. Bruschetta was tasty but was DYI, came unassembled and looked like a cheese plate with 5 small crostatas (that were more like toast soldiers) with a side salad of greens. The diced tomatoes were loose under the cheese so it was awkward getting it onto the bread, the cheese was firm enough that it wasn't easily spreadable and the toast broke trying to smear it so it wasn't 2 inches tall. Very tasty when you could get it into a bite but Total price was $54 with 2 (non-alcoholic) drinks before gratuity. I could tell it was high quality ingredients but the finished product was not there. The best part of the meal might have been the tea I had? The risotto was creamy and tasty and the re-fire was solid at least. But 5 oysters for $19 that were "edible" at best and a bruschetta I had to fight to build on a few tiny pieces of bread...not ideal. Manager did try to make it right, service was good. I went on the Wed night before Thanksgiving so maybe the A-team in the kitchen was off, but it was more in the dish conception and execution than cooking skills - so I'd consider a second trip but it won't be a "must try again" situation for sure.

I enjoyed a fantastic meal at Bristol located in the Power & Light District of KC I started with a creamy cup of Clam Chowder Soup. For my main dish I ordered Lemon Chicken Campanelle. This tasty pasta was fresh and packed with flavorful spices. A table favorite was the Mini Shrimp Rolls. The house table side rolls served with honey butter was a nice touch as well! The service was hands-on but never rushed us. This sophisticated seafood restaurant in the Power & Light district is perfect for a date, a night out with the gals, or for a business dinner. I highly recommend checking out this delicious seafood restaurant in KC!

Very nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and they gave a us a free desert. We had the cream Brule. It was very tasty. Pictures show what we ate. Food was delicious but a little salty for me. My wife's steak was perfect, just the way she likes it.

The seared ahi was absolutely amazing! It was perfectly well done and the sear was salty and smokey. Everyone raved about the crab cakes, which were just average to me but they all enjoyed them.

I collaborated with Rochelle in Special Events to host a surprise 30th Birthday party with a group of 12 recently at the Bristol KC’s Kauffman Semi-Private Dining Room. I compared restaurants all over KC, and the choice to celebrate my daughter’s special day there delivered more than I could have expected. Rochelle was fabulous, and she made planning this dinner worry-free. She worked with us to decorate the table prior and bring in my daughter’s favorite cake from her favorite bakery for dessert. She created a happy birthday banner on special menus to celebrate the milestone. Our waiter, William, and an assistant were assigned only to us, and they were funny, swift to deliver, all the while making it seem they were completely behind the scenes. Professional! We are a lively group and I was concerned we may be too loud for other guests; however, as you can see from the photographs, this semi private room is set up behind glass wine storage walls. Our laughter, stories and birthday singing, thankfully, did not travel into the main dining room! We were so busy celebrating we did not snap a lot of pictures of the food; however, the food, cocktails and wine were top notch… Whether or not you’re looking for a semi private place to celebrate or are searching for a great place for happy hour or dinner, I highly endorse the Bristol KC. Thanks, Rochelle and the team, for giving us an evening of cherished memories of Kelsey’s special milestone! ❤️

Wow! Blown away by our experience last night. We were celebrating two birthdays and we felt like the red carpet was rolled out for us. John out waiter was amazing. The hostess staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was top notch and every single item we had was delicious. We felt very special and appreciate the fantastic hospitality we received.

The restaurant is nice, especially at the booths directly under the front windows. The menu is generous, the fish was good, the steaks were fair. The wine selection was good as well. Adequate for a good business lunch. The waitress could have been a little more welcoming with us - definitely gave us a service that was not to the level of the restaurant. That being said, we all have our bad days and she surely will be nicer to others. Don't let this discourage you.

Mini lobster roll was meh. Shredded/small lobster pieces with little flavor. The biscuit with honey butter was delicious!

It’s not often that I take notes on a bad dining experience in the moment, but Thanksgiving dinner at Bristol was a particularly low point for my family and me. What follows is based on notes I took during the evening of November 25, 2021. We (myself, my partner, and my mother) arrived ten minutes early to our reservation and were still seated 20 minutes after our reservation time. This on its own would not be a big deal. It’s a holiday, it’s busy. I get it. Sure there are a number of open tables, but I’m sure there is a reason for taking so long to seat us. Our waiter was pretty good at the start. We ordered without issue. Two of us ordered the lobster bisque and when it arrived it was served out of metal mugs with dried, congealed soup dripping down the front from previous service (or maybe they dip the mugs in a larger vessel to get the individual servings?). Either way, the presentation was dirty and felt like the organization didn’t care. Our food runner was also very short in stature to the point that they could barely reach across the table. During one instance, they attempted to reach to the farthest end of our booth and stepped/slipped on my foot, scuffing my shoes. When our main courses arrived, all of the food was cold. We had to follow up with our waiter to receive the sides we ordered, one of which never arrived. I ordered a 3-course dinner and the waiter tried to convince me that it did not come with dessert. I had to ask the manager for a menu, point to what I ordered, and ask if I was reading the menu correctly to finally receive a dessert. I’m not normally a difficult person to please, but if I’m taking my family out for a holiday dinner I expect at least a minimum amount of service. Avoid Bristol on the holidays. Going here made me wish I would have spent all day cooking.

Had a date night out with my wife and decided to try someplace new. My wife was skeptical about the lobster tails as we are in the middle of the US and having lived on the east coast for years before we were married she said it was one of the best lobster tail she has had. I thought it was good too but I do not eat lobster. I had the 14 oz KC strip and it was delicious as were the potatoes and asparagus. We also had a appetizer of fried cauliflower and it was the best I have had. We left very full and satisfied. Our server was very attentive and overall we had a great meal.
