I went here because of the Buzz from Queer Eye, and was not disappointed. The ladies were super sweet and hospitable when taking my order then checking on us in the eating area. The food was prepared fast despite being short staffed. I ordered the sausage, ribs, and potato salad with the best barbeque sauce I've ever had in my life. (Immediately ordered more after this meal.) The food was superb and the service was amazing. It was definitely worth the hype and drive.

I happened to be in KC and had to stop by Jones to try the iconic BBQ place and I was SUPER impressed! First, the service is out of this world friendly. Second, we waited no more than 10 min. And third, the food was EVERYTHING. The baked beans were some of the best I've had in my life. That secret BBQ sauce is famous for a reason, I was even pouring it over the french fries. Those sausages were so smooth and flavourful they were delicious too. Total experience surpassed my expectations and I can't wait to go again next time I'm in KC!

Only female Pit Masters in KC and at the top of their game. BBQ is hickory smoked daily! Served by the owner, Shorty, just as seen on Queer Eye Season 3 Netflix show! Honest hospitality, warmth of care, savory meat, and it falls off the bone. You can feel the love in every bite. Unique family owned recipes for the sausage and sauce. Closed? Get anything you want in the vending machine! We love your BBQ and we can taste the love in your food. ❤️

Jones is great! This walk-up spot offers BBQ 24 hours a day, thanks to its BBQ Vending Machine. You can buy sandwiches, sauce or rub. There are a few tables for outdoor seating, they even have a TV and portable restroom (although it is not a handicapped accessible variety). This spot is located in a parking lot, with plenty of spaces, making accessing easy. It's window service, and the turn-round is fast! Very pleasant service, and I appreciated seeing food being prepared by staff who are masked. The beans were very tasty, slightly sweet, oniony, and included chopped pickles and meat. The fries are lightly seasoned, and not very crispy. The combo plate offers two types of meat served over bread with one side. The turkey isn't very flavorful, from a BBQ standpoint, but it was tender and juicy. The ribs are excellent. Crispy exterior and tender and very flavorful. They're not very meaty but you get three which gives you as much meat as most places which give you only two bones in a combo plate. The burnt end plate is actually a burnt end sandwich, in fact it's chopped up brisket served in a hoagie. It was excellent! I forgot to ask for my meat un-sauced but was pleased to see they only add just enough sauce to enhance the meal. They're not trying to hide flavorless, dry, or fatty BBQ like I've found at the other spots I've reviewed (I'm at about location 100 in KC). The sauce is on the sweet side (as is most in KC) but not cloyingly so, and it's also got a nice black-peppery kick to offset the sweet.

Finally did it. Definitely see why they sell out most days. Very small BBQ business. Went with a buddy and between us we tried the burnt ends, turkey, pork, ribs and homemade sausage. All were good. Sauce was very flavorful, sweet kind. The BBQ Beans stole the show. Very, Very good. A must try. They had bread n butter pickles in them. If I am in the area for lunch I most definitely will go back. 9-1-2022

The sauce is really good I love to stop by and try good BBQ joints. Tried the Sampler meat was dried not to juicy. Sampler was $48 even. Came with fries and a soda. I'll try it again next time.

Was in Kansas City MO visiting some friends and made the drive to Jones BBQ just to purchase some BBQ out of their BBQ vending machine. I purchased their smoked sausage and for $7.50 I was full and the smoked sausage was amazing. It also came with a small container of potato salad. My spouse purchased rib tips and they were amazing. I would love to go back and purchase BBQ while they are open instead of purchasing out of a vending machine. Would highly recommend giving them try sometime. Highly recommend.

This place is INCREDIBLE!!! It is worth going out of your way to get Jones BBQ. The service is wonderful, prices are reasonable and the food is the best BBQ I have ever had BY FAR! The sides are smaller (& tasty!), so order more than one. You MUST try the pork and the beans.

My 375th 'cue stop on a 35 state BBQ odyssey (the 19th in Kansas) was disappointing. $15 bought a two meat (ribs, burnt ends) plate with a side of french fries, and a can of Diet Coke. First, the wait. I was sixth in line at 11:13, and the food finally appeared at 11:51. Three customers in line behind me gave up, and took their business elsewhere. As for the food, the burnt ends were dry, tough, and flavorless. After three bites, the rest went in the trash. The heavily sauced ribs didn't have a bad rub, but they were as far removed from "separating cleanly at the bite" as one could possibly get. A steak knife, which I had with me, turned out to be very much in order. And even the fries turned out to be chewy! From start to finish, this was a one hour and forty minute lunch stop. If you choose to dine here, plan accordingly.

Visited 01APR2023 - Heard great things about this being one of the top BBQ spots in the KC Metro. Whomever made those lists needs to expand their pallet. Waited 30 min in line with only half a dozen people in front of me. Waited another 30 min to get my food after ordering. I definitely don't think the food ranks in the top spots for KC BBQ.

Wanted KC BBQ; refused to go inside anywhere during lockdown. Remembered this from Queer Eye, and got there right as they opened. No line, no wait. Finished getting buckled in my car, looked up, and the queue was already starting. Excellent timing, and the best turkey sandwich of my LIFE.

Finally got a chance to try Jones, worth the trip. Great BBQ overall. The meats were juicy and fatty (which I love) also great sides. The sauce is sweet and thick, that pairs well with the smoke meats. The sausage was a little bland for me, but still good with the sauce. Would definitely go back when in the area.

I was so excited to try Jones BBQ. The good: excellent service, sauce, and potato salad! The not so good: burnt ends and sausage were overcooked and tough. I really appreciate what Jones represents and wish them nothing but success. I will give them another try at some point.

Delicious food, we had the ribs and fries, beans, and coleslaw. Beans were probably the best I'd ever had, sauce is very good too with lots of pepper. You eat outside so plan ahead in bad weather. Overall I'd definitely recommend, plus the workers are very friendly and helpful.

Super cute BBQ joint! Owners were super nice, wait was 10 minutes tops. Good selection of classic Q. Delicious sauce. Sliced turkey, sliced pork, sliced ham, sliced brisket were our favorites. Solid Q from their heart. Put Jones on your KC Q tour.

Saw them on Queer Eye forever ago and was dying to try them out. Worth the drive for sure. The ribs are so good and the sauce is excellent. We will be back!
