MJ and I went there for breakfast the Saturday we were in Kansas City. I did research on-line on this restaurant before we left our home. MJ loves chicken and waffles. This dish is served there. The food did not disappoint. She loved her chicken and waffles. I enjoyed my pancakes topped with strawberry sauce. The place was crowded, a sign of the quality of the food and Niece's popularity. If you try this place out, you will not go wrong.

I had the 2 Pork Chop Breakfast with water & ☕. It included toast, Breakfast potatoes, two eggs, and 2 huge, juicy, deep fried bone in pork chops. My server was Keshia. She was serious but efficient. I sat down and was greeted. She made sure my ☕ was refilled. She brought my check and to go 📦 promptly. The restaurant was moderately crowded. There were family's and friends enjoying food and conversation. My breakfast was a good value for what I paid!

I stopped in for the first time with some coworkers. It was 11:30 when we sat down, they took our order. The lunch crowd was not to bad, still had tables open. It took over 45 minutes to get our dine in order. My two coworkers got their meal, mine didn't come for another 10 minutes. The food was hot, very tasty and good portions. Very nice place, with polite servers. I would have given a five star review except for the wait.

Wanted some breakfast and I was close by to Niecie's so I had to give it a try. If you are looking for a great breakfast, you must spot here. Tried the pancakes and they were to die for. Well worth every penny! Also tried the French toast and it was amazing! Loved everything about the food and we have to go back to try their lunch menu.

Coming here felt like visiting family! It was so comfy and inviting and I loved the food. I kept it simple for my meal but it was still everything I wanted and they cooked what I asked for exactly how I asked for it. I definitely recommend this place!

The food speaks for itself: classic, hearty, and delicious. The service was attentive and so extremely friendly. Our first time coming here and the servers and food ensure we will be back for more. I can’t wait to explore more of the menu.

Just do yourself a favor and go! Foodie friends have been telling me about this place for years, and just haven't made it... Until today!! It did not disappoint!! First: We had LaShawn (I hope I spelled it correctly) wait on our family, and she was extremely pleasant! She gave suggestions, laughed, listened to the kids, checked on us multiple times, and just gave great overall service!! Second: Everything we ordered was great! But let me tell you, I snuck a piece of my son's pancake, and everyone at the table ended up stealing bites of it. It was so good! His plate was completely cleaned! It was probably one of the best pancakes I've had in my life! Yum!!!! I had the pork tenderloin, and it was bigger than the bun (which is important to me, moist, tender, and just really good! French fries were salted well and crispy! Daughter had catfish, but we didn't get to try any of it, because she didn't share. She says, it was delicious. We will definitely be going back! I need to order a plate of pancakes for myself, and I'll need try the chicken and waffles!

Good service, staff was incredibly friendly. Plain cheese omelette was good but it was a little bit too creamy on the inside (just a personal preference), overall amazing food :)

I really wanted to love my meal, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Let me start by saying the service received was great! The cashier was nice, patient and answered all my questions. I ordered a whole catfish dinner with dressing and greens to go. On a scale from 1-5, the catfish was a 4.5, the dressing a 3.5 and the greens....blank stare....definitely a 1! I refuse to believe these greens are what they normally serve each day. They must have ran out and decided to throw some canned greens and spinach in a pot. The cornbread was dry which was a bummer because I love cornbread! I also found an EXTREMELY greasy fried green bean under my fish. It was so greasy, it was dripping grease when I picked it up. Thankfully the strawberry pound cake was DELICIOUS! The whole meal cost just about $25...definitely not worth that! However, I’ve been there one other time and breakfast was GREAT! I’ll definitely stick with breakfast from now on.

Visited on a Sunday, and it was definitely packed. The service was good. The host kept us in the loop of when a table would be ready. He made sure he acknowledged us and we weren't forgot about. After about 30-45 min wait, we were seated. Our waitress was nice, and she was on top of everything. Food didn't take long to come out, the porkchops, chicken fried steak and potatoes really didn't have any seasoning to it, a bit bland. The grits were nice and creamy however, they put a huge chunk of butter in the middle. Wheww, my arteries said no ma'am not todayy! So I just scooped it out. Lol But I think with as much business this place gets, hopefully, in the future, they can grow into a bigger space. But all in all, they were good people. Whenever we come back to KC, we will definitely stop by again to try them Oxtails!!

My wife and I both love this restaurant. The food is amazing and freshly cooked when ordered. I get the oxtail or pork neck, chicken and waffle, with butter and hot sauce, the food is very delicious. Servers could be better its 50/50 When you go, I'm sure it's because they are always so busy. We like that the owner will always come to every table and atlases say hello. Great place highly recommend

I really wanted to enjoy this place because they're black-owned, but they really have to work on their customer service and make some small tweaks in the kitchen. The "host" barely said a word to us when we came into the restaurant. We were a party of 4. The restaurant was at like 10% capacity and he just points in the direction of several open tables. He didn't walk us to the table, so we just picked one and sat down. It was definitely a "Okay, that's weird" moment. Our waitress was very nice, polite, and somewhat patient with us as this was our first time. We ordered the fried fish, chicken & waffles, and smothered steak. The fish and chicken were fried very crispy which was good but they were VERY light on the seasoning! The waffle was okay, and the smothered steak was far from what I would call a "steak". Overall, the food was just okay. We probably won't go back again. I'm sure this place is great for some, but it was a significant let-down for me.

Second time at this restaurant wanted to try something different my order consisted of fish fillet yams and cornbread dressing. The atmosphere was very busy on a blessed Sunday the service was comforting. The food was hot and fresh the fish was very seasoned yams needed more seasoning and dressing was outstanding.

When calling in my order the lady was rude. And I get my order and just get one scope of dressing for the price they charge. And the Mac and cheese doesn’t taste homemade.

I ordered the baked chicken, mac and cheese, spaghetti, and various desserts: peach cobbler, sweet potato pie, pound cake, and caramel cake. As far as soul food and good southern cooking goes, every black person in America has had better home cooking than what you will get here. I had high expectations, but was not very satisfied with the food. It was not awful, but definitely not great. The chicken was dry and seemed overcooked. The dressing was a little salty and just not the best dressing I've had (Cracker Barrel's Thanksgiving dressing is much better). The spaghetti had an okay flavor, and the mac and cheese was pretty good. The desserts were the best thing. The peach cobbler did not disappoint--it was sweet and gooey like you want. The sweet potato pie was great. The caramel cake was great--moist. It was vanilla cake that has a caramel flavored icing. The pound cake was the only disappointing dessert. First off, it was strawberry pound cake, which the menu did not say. I was expecting plain vanilla pound cake and got strawberry, and it was just okay, nothing special. I got ice cream and they give you a big portion of that. Not just one scoop. There are also many more desserts to choose from on the menu, so I will definitely order desserts here again. I would also be interested in trying some of the more diner type items--like the pancakes or chili. I have a feeling that this restaurant os probably great when it comes to diner food, and only so-so when it comes to soul food.

In town from Omaha, this was just like being with family! The biscuits and gravy were delicious! I wish I could climb inside that buttery biscuit and eat my way out!!! The atmosphere was clean and comfortable, we didn't want to leave.

This place is also yo mama good! Quick service and hot exceptional food. The only bad thing….. they charged me for a to-go sweet tea even though I had already paid for tea with my dine in meal. I will be back! You must go here!

I can’t even express how welcoming and helpful the staff was from the time we walked in the door. We were seated fast even though they were so busy. Cassie was our waitress. She was amazing, genuine, cute, funny, real, attentive, prompt, clean, and very polite. My food….well I ate every bite. So good! Especially the pancakes. Coffee was fresh. I’m for sure a fan. The establishment has a cool vibe, clean, nicely decorated, homey feel. I will for sure be going back. Love you guys!!!! Oh and the price was so reasonable! Best thing with todays food costs.
