This restaurant was our first lunch date 20+ years ago. We've not dined here in many years. Grateful for they've not changed a bit. Worth the wait for a table. Your food arrives likety split! Expect friendly service. Expect well worn tables, chairs, floors and plates. Expect delicious food.

We ordered carryout tonight but have dined in previously. Dining in is always a good time. Great atmosphere, wonderful food and entertaining live music 🎶. Tonight we ordered the Seafood Fettuccine (no scallops, extra crab). It was delicious. Our order was accurate. Food hot and fresh. The carry-out packaging was "on point". The container was secure and they also wrapped it to prevent spills and to keep it hot. Which we really appreciated. Melissa took our order and she was a joy. Her personality is effervescent and I could hear the smile on her face through the phone. When I arrived at the restaurant to pick up the food she was just as sweet as she was on the phone. She really took our carry-out experience to the next level. Whether you dine in or carry-out I'm certain you'll enjoy this place. There are many great Cajun menu offerings, service is great, entertaining atmosphere and delicious 😋 food. What more could you ask for? I feel you get great value for your money as well. Enjoy!

You have got to come here! The food is awesome and don't be fooled by the appetizers..They are more than your typical appetizers...there more like full meals!. The shrimp plate pictured was the appetizer plate! I will definitely be coming back. Make sure you come to one on the KC MISSOURI side...not the KC KANSAS CITY side

The live music of Brandon MacNaughton was wonderful and the service from Dave was even better, and the crawfish and oysters and calamari were even better than that! Never a bad time at Jazz. Best dinner I have had in awhile. Topped it all off with a few Bermuda triangles and a chocolate and strawberry stuffed beignet and we were all full and so happy we chose Jazz. We will most definitely be back.

Omg.....the food here is delicious no matter what you get. The seafood alfredo is to die for and sauce is so good! The pudding cake and beignets are delicious! Our server was amazing, but forgot his name sorry. We will definitely come again!

Looking for a taste of Louisiana here in KC, we’ll look no further. Although it’s -4 outside the food inside is full of flavor and some heat. The gumbo was probably the best I’ve had. Our server was very attentive and the music list was on point. Out of all the dishes we tried the hot Fanny was voted best by all that tried it. Both desserts were delicious 🤤. We shall be back!!

Joined my buddy here for lunch because they have the best freaking Voodoo wings. I was not disappointed! He had the blackened catfish and I had fried shrimp. It was pretty tasty...also had some delicious hushpuppies with a side if hazel sauce....soooo good... Now with all these wonderful things I must say I would skip ordering from the bar...maybe a beer nothing mixed. I tried a rum punch and it was very light on the alcohol...not good.. Overall it was pretty good and we will be back.

The wait time was 45 mins but it was equivalent to every restaurant in the city. The food took a min but was worth the wait. My party stated the pasta is their favorite . We also ordered chicken strips, fried pickles ,all American cheeseburger(not pictured) which was also good . The drinks were good , the hurricane tasted a lil weird but had the right amount of liquor. It was cold in the restaurant could have been the area we sat at (downstairs). This was my 1st time and I will definitely be back.If your looking to try something new I recommend this place.

I like food from Louisiana and this place did not disappoint. The food is so tasty and the place has a touch of Jazz ambiance. The price is reasonable too. It’s a bit dark though if you come here for lunch. Nonetheless, my experience was okay. Keep it up!

Wow! Amazing Cajun food! A ton of flavor with a kick of heat. If you like mushrooms, you will LOVE their stuffed mushrooms (see pic). Their Seafood St Charles is outstanding (large portion). There was a jazz singer/blues guitar player who added cool ambiance.

Amazing, great atmosphere, even better food. Had the Gumbo, was great. Had the Chicken LaMer , that was really really good. This from a steak lover. Must try. P.S. NANA is the man, if he’s your server, know you will be ok.

Had two appetizers, fried calamari and stuffed zucchini. I've had the calamari before and it was good as usual, first time for the stuffed zucchini and it was DELICIOUS! I also always have to order at least 3 orders of hush puppies to-go. They have the best breading! A must have for anyone that loves hush puppies. Atmosphere is fun and lively and service is exceptional and friendly.

The food is amazing, perfectly spiced. This place really gives you a hometown feel of Cajun cuisine!! Did I mention oysters on the half shell!

I am not very adventurous with food. I thought I'd get breaded or blackened chicken at a Cajun restaurant. I asked my server what he liked. Without hesitation, he said, Stuffed Catfish! He was so confident that i ended up ordering that. I've never had catfish and I'm not into seafood mostly. It was soooooo good! So surprising! I will definitely return and order something else a server recommends!

Awesome and super friendly waitress. Food was great as usual. Even mixed it up a little by adding pasta to the shrimp creole....wow. spicy jalapeno Margarita for me and perfect storm for her. With oysters and crab cakes . A shared bread pudding with whiskey sauce and whipped cream. Live music made it a great Thursday date night.

Love the original Jazz! Have had the best oysters lately! Recently had their crayfish & andouille pasta, shrimp etouffe, blackened chicken alfredo and shrimp czarina. It was all amazing!

Always love this place. The service and food are great. I love the grilled chicken salad and the voodoo wings. The kids tenders are no joke on size and the hurricanes there are not skimpy at all on the liquor. It's affordable and great for the family. While the parking isn't the best right now because of the construction it's worth the effort in finding parking and going.

In the enchanting realm of Jazz a Louisiana Kitchen, Tennessee Williams' spirit thrives. With staff radiating Southern charm and hospitality, and the captivating melodies of live jazz, patrons are transported to the heart of Louisiana. The culinary journey unfolds with robust flavors of Creole and Cajun cuisine, meticulously crafted dishes that pay homage to tradition. From gumbo's tantalizing dance of spices to jambalaya's vibrant medley, each bite becomes an artistic masterpiece. In this luminous world, where hospitality, music, and cuisine intertwine.

The place is very dated, needs a remodel and cleaning. The alligator was pretty good, the gumbo was average, the oysters were really disappointing. My waitress was great.

Whoa!!! Not a national chain and to put it simply... I'm already planning my next time to go back again. The food is Sooooooo good and the portions will easily fill you. I ordered crab cake and they were covered in a shrimp and crab type sauce that I wasn't expecting. Then came the St. Charles something with dirty rice. It was mixed with a coconut base. Then finished it off with a serving of beignet's and a Bermuda triangle which had about 7 different alcohols in it. I recommend having a designated driver for this one. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself and a friend to this place.

I enjoyed the appetizers but the main course I wasn’t a fan of which was the Chicken PoBoy. Our server was amazing and I feel bad without catching his name. But he was phenomenal. Also was great seeing a friend Tejon!
