On Friday, I visited this establishment again and ordered lunch for myself for work. I also ordered a 64oz. order of their delicious Alfredo sauce and was intending to pickup on Saturday afternoon. Got called into work last minute, forgetting to go back to pickup the sauce I'd ordered. So today on Sunday, I call to inquire about this, and was told that it was thrown out (understandably). But,if I still wanted it I'd have to repay the cost of the new sauce. So I jusaid fine because I loved it and needed it actually. Upon the pickup, the employee brings it to me and I noticed how small the size of the container actually is. I mentioned that this isn't 64oz. The young lady assured me that it was. I repaid for sauce that I was expecting to receive a certain amount and didn't . So when I returned home, I tared out the container and re-weighed it twice! Still under 64oz. I really was upset because I didn't get what I had paid for. I love the food here, but not sure I'll be ordering larger items just because. Mind you all, I have not taken any extra sauce from the container at all. Just wanted to know if I am making a mountain of a molehill here🤷‍♀️

First time there, and the employees were very friendly, and helpful with the menu, offering details about the food and suggestions when u couldn't decide. I ended up going with one of the Chicken Spedini bowls, and it was delicious, and a large portion. Hubby had a roast beef sandwich, and we both enjoyed some fried provolone. All of it was very good. In addition, the place was clean and the atmosphere was nice. We will definitely go back again when we're in the area.

First time here, will not return. Staff at register did not know their menu. Ordered a chicken spedini sandwich and asked to substitute a side salad for the chips, menu shows it as a $2 upcharge. Cashier stated they only substitute fries. I pointed to the menu behind them saying it shows it as an option on the menu. They did not even turn to look, only said no, but you can order a side salad extra. Didn't feel like arguing so just took the chips. The chicken spedeini was good, but it would have been better if it came on a full bun like it showed on the menu. Mine came on a cut open breadstick. Had to ask for silverware as the chicken was bigger than the breadstick. The dining area had fruit flies all over, was constantly waving them away from my food. Spent $31 for me and my guest + a tip that was paid in advance in good faith, but was left unearned by the staff.

My girlfriend and I went to this place for the first time. It's an awesome restaurant! Great interior setting, very clean, the staff was great and more.. The food was amazing! Madelyn and Zoey did an awesome job on making sure we had everything we needed and were very helpful to us. Only complaint is the restroom is down a narrow hall that staff uses as well for dishes, so it's a bit greasy on the floor. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a new Italian restaurant to try!

My only visit here left a terrible first impression. My friend ordered a sandwich and wanted to substitute a side salad instead of chips. Cashier told him he could substitute fries but that "we don't substitute side salads" and that he'd need to pay full price for a salad. He pointed to the menu above her head and pointed out where it says on the menu that you can substitute a side salad for +$2.00 with your sandwich and she persisted that you can't, so my friend just gave in and took the bag of chips. When you have a customer wanting a healthier lunch and you're advertising that you can substitute the side for an upcharge, then refuse to, you've already broken your respect for a customer. I ordered a pasta. It was just alright for the price, frankly similar in quality to Noodles & Co. The server (It's counter service but there's a server, a little awkward) told me they were still making breadsticks and mine would be right out (it was included with the meal I ordered). Breadstick never came out. By the time I realized it, I was pretty much done eating and didn't care to ask for it. My friend's sandwich was on a tiny piece of bread that the meat barely fit on and it was so small that he thinks it was a breadstick sliced in half and not a hoagie roll like the menu photos show. There were flies and gnats all over the dining area and not an insect trap in sight. There was no music. The employees didn't smile and barely spoke to one another. The place just had an air of gloom that was unexpected considering the area it's in. Considering their other location is drive-through-only attached to a car wash, I have no idea what is going on with this place. "Casual Italian" comes with casual attitudes, contentious unskilled employees and a side of flies. The people in the food line looked like they were on a hair-trigger or I'd have asked someone to come resolve the ordering issue. Didn't seem worth it.

The crew were pretty nice and charismatic. The food was awful though. Bland and no love put into it at all. 50$ I should've spent else where. Only thing good was the bread sticks. Highly disappointed 😞. Dining in, you can hear a loud crew in the kitchen the whole time. Unprofessional.

Normally love this place, but the girl at the drive through, Madison B., took it upon herself to change our order based on her expert opinion of what we wanted. Cut the pasta order into a half order and left out one of our apps. solely based on how long it would take. Hate to say it but this is the third time she has been at the window when we ordered and everytime it has been wrong. Forgivable wrong the first time but 3 strikes and we are done.

Lasagna and more! Massive portion of Lasagna. Breadsticks were yummy. What a fun spot for great Italian food. I can't wait to return and try the entire menu.

Went through the drive thru around 7:30 at night. My wife and I didn't realize they closed at 8:00 as it wasn't clearly marked. We usually don't go to a place close to closing time. Our food was old and disgusting. My wife threw her lasagna away and I powered through the chicken parm because I was so hungry. But it was old and not very tasteful. I am giving two stars because the owner Tommy said he would replace the meal for us when I called the next day. So I went in a few days later to try it again. The food was barely better than the drive thru experience and, once again, we didn't even eat all of it and ended up throwing the rest away. I don't know if it is a coincidence or not, but our stomachs was upset a few days after eating here. We will not be back and I do not recommend this place. A refund would be a nice gesture.

We were excited coming here to celebrate a few family members birthday's. The staff were looking bothered whenever we asked for plates and drinks. Then we received the food the chicken parm and spaghetti and we're really disappointed because it was bland and no flavor at all. We should have just went to olive garden and received better service and better food. We will not be back I really wouldn't recommend especially the price we paid . Smh I didn't even finish eating because we are going someplace different.

ordered a $12 italian sandwich and was chastised about asking for mayo, because "this is an authentic italian place" there own words, i received a 4 inch diameter onion roll with thick bologna cuts of round meat that looked right out of an oscar-mayer pack fanned out to make it seem bigger than it was. not worth 12 dollars, nor an authentic italian sandwich.

I kid you not, dollar for dollar some of the best lasagna (get the meat sauce) I've had. Seriously! At a casual restaurant with a drive thru! I'd take their lasagna over Cascone's any day of the week.

Food is really good, always fresh when we are there. Service is fast, and the place is clean. The prices, however, have gone up a lot. Family of 5, you'll easily drop $100 or more. Wife and I and our youngest, only three of us and we walk away full and happy but having to spend around $60 is way to high for that place! So we don't go here as often now.

Husband and I were driving through and decided to stop in at this lovely little Italian restaurant. Can't say enough about the service and the best Italian food I've had a long time.

The interior of the dining area was very unmaintained and dirty. Cannot imagine what the cooking area is like, so we will not be going there again.

They need to stick with pasta. The new pizza is not good. Pre made crust was under cooked and flavorless. Dude behind counter was loudly yapping about how he hated being an f'n full time cook. Young ladies up-front did a great job.

Pretty expensive for the portion sizes. You pay more if you use a debit card. Lasagna was mushy. Alfredo sauce was way too thick. Friendly people though.

My friend and I went there for lunch today. She had the eggplant parmesan sandwich and I had the Italian sausage sandwich. Both had more bread than meat. The sausage sandwich was 2/3 bread and 1/3 meat. Eggplant was way too thin for the bread. Had to stand at counter for awhile and wait for guy to get off phone and take our order while two other guys stood there and talked. We will not be returning.

My wife ordered a family sized spaghetti to go over the phone. We have been ordering food from Dominic’s for over 4 years. She was told 15-20 minutes and went to pick it up. After 25 minutes someone came out to the car and said it wasn’t ready. Then again after 30 or 35. At 40 minutes she called inside and was told the same. Finally after 50 minutes they told her they’d never received the order. All while she waited in the car with our 2 young children. When I called in to discuss I was told “I don’t know why the told her it wasn’t ready because we never had the order”. And then she complained that they were short staffed like it was my problem and finally said “Well what would you like me to do?” I told her I’d wait to go talk to someone who wouldn’t blame my wife or myself for them dropping the ball. Very bad experience and probably will not go back if they don’t find a way to make it right.

The food was really good. I wish my muffuletta sandwich had more cheese but I will just add next time. I also added olives because I like them. My husband had the Italian sausage sandwich and the sausage was fabulous. Dessert was good also and big portions so it was all priced right

Our youngest daughter is obsessed with this place. Such a perfect place to stop in for casual Italian. The employees are beyond friendly. We will be back every time she gets to pick lunch.

Italian sausages are BAD. I think they use to serve Scimecas Italian Sausages which of course are perfect. Bring them back or go back to what was used for years… please. I’ve been going to Dominic’s since they opened in the little Fast Eddie’s Drive Thru building on North Oak in late 80’s/early 90’s. Pasta was served in a little plastic tub, was the best just like I use to have in the spaghetti dinners at Holy Cross in Northeast KC back in the 70’s. I still love Dominic’s and drive there from Overland Park. I really miss the original Italian sausages but the meatballs are still the best. Love the garlic toast and the garlic dressing. So, at least 30 years and they are holding tough. The About page on the website says 10 years, that may be when the family sold out, but it’s the same food. It’s to bad they don’t further tell the whole history. It’s 5 stars but dinging them for the sausages.

Honestly it was expensive (for what it was) and pretty terrible... my desert was freezer burned.... sorry but I have nothing good to say other than the staff was polite.

It had been awhile since we'd eaten there, and unfortunately the quality has went down. There was hardly any meat in the calzone and eggplant parmesan was extra crispy on every edge!

No-frills Italian restaurant, the chicken spadini is my favorite. The star of the show is the service, they always greet you when you arrive and take good care of you while you're dining.

We ordered spaghetti with meat sauce with an add of mushrooms, grilled chicken Alfredo, extra side of breadsticks, and fried ravioli for delivery. The only thing that was good was the fried ravioli. The spaghetti (even though we were charged for the mushrooms) had maybe two. The chicken Alfredo noodles weren’t even cooked and the chicken was slim and reminded me of freezer chicken. Also when the food arrived they didn’t give us the breadsticks that was suppose to come with the spaghetti meal. We don’t recommend this place.

The food is okay. I ordered curbside pickup. First time ever eating there. Went for my lunch break. Pulled up and was placed on hold for 3 minutes. Told them I was there for a curbside. They brought it about 5 minutes later. Drove home to eat. Got home and realized I didn't have a side salad that I was supposed to get. After I ate I called to inform them. The boy that answered the phone was a bit impolite. Asked my name, told him what happened. He said that he will let them know and if I ever come back I will get a free side salad. He asked me if that was okay. I replied yes but how would they know just by name. I'm sure there alot of people with my name. His response to me was " I have your first and last name. I'm pretty sure not some random person is going to come in and want a free side salad and give us your name." Although that is very true, the way he said it was rude. Basically all I really wanted was just a confirmation on what he said about the salad. Which, it may seem like a little thing, the point is I paid for something I didn't receive and it almost feels like it doesn't matter. Needless to say, I will just "eat" the money and not the salad. I WILL NOT be going back. Probably not a big deal to Dominic's, but not a very good first impression for a new customer.

Great family casual Italian dining establishment and experience. Would highly recommend this place for not just business lunch meetings, but family dinners as well. Very clean, friendly and courteous staff. The Italian steak was fresh and incredible!!

My wife and I have done both dine in and take out. There is little for me to love about this place. However, to be fair my wife enjoys their food. I find it subpar at best. If you are dinning in, the decor is great and has a nice atmosphere (although quite loud). The place is very busy around dinner time so watch out because your food will take a while to get served. Now for me that is where the good ends and the bad begins. I dislike the flavor of all their food. To be fair, maybe it’s a me thing as they are constantly busy and my wife enjoys it as mentioned previously. If you are dining in or taking out near dinner time, your food will not be ready in a timely manner. It will be warm, but I have stood for 45 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready waiting on food for my wife. I was pretty much ignored the whole time and several others waited a similar amount of time. It would be one thing if it was a single occurrence, but this is every time my wife orders a take out from them. Even if the food is good, it doesn’t justify the LONG wait to get it.
