We decided to go here at the last minute after our daughter's homecoming photo shoot took longer than expected and the three places we tried to go to prior had between sixty to ninety minute wait times. We were able to reserve a table online, but ended up just sitting at the bar to be closer to the booze! I always get the big boy prime rib and a side of mushrooms. We would probably go here more if it were not located in Zona Rosa, but thats a different review 😉

Excellent service, Thanks to our server Linda. Excellent Food Loved the boneless Buffalo wings. The bacon wrapped shrimp is delicious. Nope to the (raw) clams. My wife loved her steak and my burger was cooked to perfection. We will be back.

Good place for dinner. Great choice of entries. Really friendly stuff. We stopped there for dinner and made a mistake by ordering appetizers! Couldn’t finish the main course. We had burger and ribs with a choice of sides. Corn is little bit spicy. But it was delicious!

I would say that the atmosphere and staff are great, but I also have to say I was disappointed with the food, especially for the price. My wife and I both had steak with asparagus side and we commented that while the steaks were cooked to the perfect temperature (medium rare), the cut wasn't that good. Pretty hard gristle on both and a little on the tough side. The asparagus was nice and crisp but not very well seasoned. We had been to a nearby Texas steak place 2 weeks earlier and we both agreed the food there was better though we could do without the loud music and line dancing in the aisles. Hereford was pleasant but we probably will not be going back. Edit: Management replied below, but when I contacted them as requested, I did not get a reply.

The food is excellent! We visited for a special anniversary with family. There were seven of us and they put us in our own room. Six of us purchased the meals for two and the choices were great. Please note there are up charges for some items and it was difficult to read on the menu.

It's a solid steak house. I didn't get anything that I thought was that much better than Texas Roadhouse or Longhorns... but the price was definitely higher than those places. If I'm going for excellent cuts of meat, I'll go to Antons. If I'm going for quick and yummy, I'll go to Texas Roadhouse. Not a bad place at all. I just don't see the overall value.

Came today with my family great customer service. Covid precautions with seating still in place. Enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip and stuffed mushrooms appetizers. For the main course had the rib with dijon mustard and brown sugar glazed enhancement. To be honest the steak flavor was good but the texture could have been way more tender. I love my steak to cut like butter, I had to put some strength into cutting this steak. The mashed potatoes are very good. Recommend making a reservation they tend to be busy.

First time going there, probably last time. For the price, we expected a certain level of quality in the food. Didn't even come close. Steak was undercooked, ordered medium came out closer to rare. Salmon was lacking flavor. Vegetables and potatoes cooled down very quickly, plates food was served on were cool to the touch, warm plates would have helped keep food warmer. Only reason for 2 stars was our server, she was excellent and very attentive.

Food is pretty good. We came in at 8p not knowing they closed at 9p, service was ok..the servers were probably just ready to go home.

Came here on a Friday night and was pleased it wasn’t too busy. Simple menu with some great choices. Went with the tacos and did not regret it! Larry was a phenomenal bartender serving up some delicious house cocktails. Define would recommend

After living here for four years, my fiancé and I finally decided to try Hereford House! We went in one evening unbeknownst to us, about an hour prior to their closing for the evening yet we were still treated with care by our server and hostesses. We were quickly sat at a booth and the hostess suggested we try the dinner-for-two option (which consisted of four courses) despite the fact that they closed in an hour! The portions were great for the pricing and the food was perfect! Way to go!

I would not recommend!! Ordered steak medium and it was very rare! Just not mine but my daughters also! Went to celebrate a birthday with 8 people…by the time we got our steaks correct everyone else was done eating!! Not impressed at all!! Won’t go back. I will just go to Texas Roadhouse! Better steak by far!!

This place needs to be professionally cleaned. When we first sat down, there was a puddle of A/C drippings on our table. The Hostess noticed right away, and then moved us to another table. The carpet looked like old, crummy casino carpet. The window seals had pieces of food and crust. Our table was grimey too. You can look at my other reviews, and notice I never complain about cleanliness. Our service was good. I will say that.

What happened to Hereford House? This steakhouse use to be the talk of Kansas city, now its an overpriced Texas roadhouse . I'm wrong Texas roadhouse actually sends steaks out at right temp. Stuffed mushrooms tasted as if they been sitting in a hotbox for hours. Same with baked potatoes , definitely not even close to fresh. Probably sand bagged a bunch at the beginning of dinner. Also they might be the worse chili I've ever tasted 😩. I went to independence location looking for a better experience and got basically the same. Except Zona food different, which is funny how 2 different locations food is so different tasting. It's like different locations use different recipes. Zona was the better experience, Mgr adrea was very helpful and did her best to correct the many mistakes. Hereford house use to be our place for family dinner. Seems your priority went from being the best steakhouse to just making money. Example: free dinner rolls add meat is a happy hour item. I hate to ever review places negative but this place has fallen in quality dramatically. 😕

The food was not good. There were 6 of us. Only one meal was hot, that was the child's meal. My salad was great but the steak soup had very little flavor. My sister had trout. It was missing seasoning. Two people had steaks, they were tough. The waitress commented that none of us ate much. I guess that kind of tells the tale. We were celebrating birthdays and I didn't want to say anything at the time.

The service was IMPECCABLE. Took my wife last week for her birthday and brought in some flowers and a gift early in the day to put on the table for our reservation in the evening. The presentation was spot on and our waitress was fantastic. Food was very good and drinks were solid. They even made a mocktail to my pregnant wife’s liking. 4.5/5 overall. Definitely will be back.

We were in town for a conference and someone from our group recommended this place. Our group really enjoyed our meals. I ordered the salmon and asked them to add the Dijon brown sugar glaze. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the glaze added great flavor. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. I highly recommend and they accommodated our group of 9 with ease. My picture is of my leftovers which speaks to the good sized dinner portions. I will definitely return.

In town for the first time for a convention and I tell you I would come back to Kansas City just to experience the amazing waitress Linda A. If you find yourself looking for a nice night out with a loved one, come see Linda A and she will take care of you to a tee. I truly think she should write a book on her hospitality and overall attention to her customer service.

Service was so so. I ordered Bacon rapped filets. The meat had no flavor and the Bacon was grey and not cooked. My roasted potatoes were obviously reheated or just old. My asparagus were really good, salad was good ,and so was the bread. My Girlfriend ordered. Bacon rapped filet and lobster. Her filet was the same as mine no flavor and Bacon was grey. Her lobster was old and dry. But the manager brought her another lobster with out even asking for one. He said he saw the condition of the lobster on the plate. I was wondering why he didn't replace the lobster before it arrived at our table. She said her asparagus and broccoli was good and also raved about the bread. The atmosphere was pleasant the people were pleasant. I just don't think it was worth 150 dollars and will not return.
