This place looks amazing, the inside and patio is very nice. The atmosphere is high end but cozy. The food was good too, I had the scallops which were good, what they came with was ok. The drinks were really good. I also had the chips as a starter ant they were super plain and the sauces were not good. I would definitely come back though to try other parts of the menu!

To start off, the atmosphere felt like a farmhouse chic vibe. Our waitress, Sophie was attentive without being overbearing. Finally, the food & drinks were superb! My spouse has been chasing an excellent shrimp & grits for about 8 years since we visited New Orleans & she said she found it! We’re definitely going to upgrade this to our new fine dining options in KC Plaza.

Comfortable, great decor, amazing cocktails, and a variety of very tasty dishes. Staff were friendly and attentive, service was quick and we got to enjoy our time sipping drinks in the bright atmosphere. Perfect restaurant and great location!

This place is an excellent add to the Plaza area. An upscale restaurant that has a southern soul about it. Our group ordered 4 completely separate items from the menu, sampled each others food and the overwhelming response was that this food tastes great! The service was a little slow but we were there at prime time so a little leniency was in order. The waiter was quite nice and did time refreshments almost perfectly. The only thing that was a huge distraction was the temperature in the area we were in was like a sauna! Ugh it was sooo hot but the view outside was good from their newly installed great window facing Ward Pkwy. I will definitely revisit this location and hopefully in a more tempered area.

I really wanted to love this place, but I just didn’t. It was lovely and had a great bar, but it just didn’t wow me. From the appetizer to the meals, the food was just “ok”. I might go back for brunch or for the patio when the weather improves, but likely not for dinner.

My husband and I had a nice little dinner here. The clientele are very upscale and dressed on the dressier side. Makes a great dress up date. The food was great and the service was nice. We enjoyed our food as well.

I visited for Sunday brunch and was not disappointed. I started with a Brunch Punch (delicious) and an order of chips (also delicious). The flight of dipping sauces that comes with the not-so-standard potato chips is so good! For my meal I ordered the Banana Cream French Toast. The portion is VERY generous - you basically get two huge french toast banana sandwiches. Our waitress, Heather, was amazing and so kind and just elevated the whole experience. Definitely worth a visit!!

Hear me out. Price and food doesn’t match. The good: Emerald City drink was really enjoyable. Nicely balanced. And Dessert was phenomenal. Had the Molten Chocolate Cake and it was delicious. The opportunity for improvement: Started with the Tuna Tartare and fish felt fresh, which in my experience has been a challenge. However, the avocado that came with it was oxidized. The main entree, half grilled chicken… bland flavors. The description makes it look like it is rich in flavor but my plate was missing it. It came with roasted potatoes and these had a smokey flavor too. I don’t mind smokey food, but there is a fine line. I still would recommend this place. The ambiance is great and so was the service. Sydney was a phenomenal host. Maybe explore other menu options. Maybe it was the night.

Incredible food, incredible service, a terrific atmosphere. Just minutes away from most hotels in the Plaza. If you want good food, done right, with an inventive twist, this is your place. We had the chicken and sausage gumbo and the charcuterie board. Delicious. Great selection of beer, wine, and spirits too as well as a great cocktail selection.

(Sorry pics taken after tasting... not as lovely as when it arrived) Nik our server was outstanding. Great recommendations. Even brought the bartender over to help with Keto friendly drinks. Derrick, totally overwhelmed me with an exquisite keto friendly Jamison Orange Creamsicle b4 our dinner which was the hanger steak (yummmmmy brussel sprouts and mash) For desert an Espresso infused Jamison Orange Creamsicle... so delicious! Definitely recommend. Thank you sis for the great Cmas gift!!!

First time here in years and the first time ever for brunch. After only being there for 10 minutes, I thought to myself, this place is going into my rotation immediately, if not sooner! Our server, Heather, was fabulous! Personable, friendly, accurate, attentive...what more can you ask? Everything we ate and drank made us do the happy chair dance, sing, make funny noises, and/or say OMG, taste this! As for cocktails, I highly recommend the Smoking Gun. The smoked ice cube with rosemary frozen into it was everything! The Calypso and the Brunch Punch were also delicious. The food: Asian pig wings, fried oysters, breakfast skillet, shrimp and grits, crab cake Benedict, beignets and mascarpone stuffed French toast were all to live for! The apps and beignets each had interesting sauces that sounded questionable but worked perfectly. The chef is kind of like Bret Veach and the Chiefs roster...I learned to stop questioning him. Go, eat, drink, thank me later!

Gram and Dun is my new favorite restaurant! My girlfriend and I went for our anniversary and were pleasantly surprised. We went on a Saturday so I ordered the 76ers sushi roll and she ordered a salad with salmon. Both 10/10 meals. Great server... Thanks Derek!! They have a few gluten free options but not many however all such food.

Really enjoyed the hush puppy crab cakes. While we've had better crab cakes in Boston, it had a really unique taste and worked wonderfully as hush puppies. Texas B&G, or biscuits and gravy, also quite good. Not sure why Bama restaurants are the only ones with the sense to cut the biscuits in half, but this was still a tasty and unique dish. Shrimp and grits also very tasty, and we loved the meal. But, this isn't your usual shrimp and grits. The barbecue sauce overpowered the shrimp, but, especially combined with the grits, a successful and tasty dish. The sauce tasted wonderful. Also had The Smoking Dun and the Brunch Punch. Both were pleasantly strong drinks with a bit of sweetness. Overall, really happy we went. It was $50 each with appetizer and drinks, but I think that was a real good price point.

Pretty shrubbery & patio before you even walk into the place. Once in, the enormous wine rack, beautiful lighting, light seating (esp like the seats facing outside), the bar area, as well as the rooms you use for events, make this a real treat of a place to come! It wasn't overly crowded and we went around 12p. Service was slow and would've been ok had we not had somewhere to be. Also, if you ask for bread if you just want something light before dinner, it's $1 piece of the sourdough w/butter. Now I thought I was delicious and didn't mind getting four. However, some restaurants provide that. This is not one of them. Bathrooms were neat & clean - only two stalls available. I didn't like walking down all the stairs because of my knee and ankle injury. Perhaps if they had one upstairs or made known there was, that would've helped my pain out a lot! :) People don't always have to flash a bandage to be hurt in some way. Overall, enjoyable atmosphere, delicious food, and it's always nice to be able to sit out on the patio. Today we couldn't due to the KC rain! :( Many unique options here to open up your tastebuds!

I love that place! It’s perfect during spring and fall time, cause they have terrace open and nice fireplace if you’ll decide have dinner. And it’s perfect if you want just to sit by the bar. I like their salads, Stake’s and desserts! Their management and waiters are always nice and professional. And take good care of their customers!

PHENOMENAL!!! A must visit while you are in Kansas City. Request Sharon. She did not let us down on recommendations and provided elaborate descriptions of food options. Sunday brunch we started with Asian Pork wings per Sharon’s suggestion. They were marinated in a teriyaki sauce then roasted which provided the perfect balance of tenderness and crispiness. The sauce that it was served with made this a 10. We also had the Waygu burger and the breakfast sandwich. Extra sides included their grits and bacon. Delish! All breads are made locally and did not disappoint and completely worth the carbs (as carbs don’t count when your on vacay) right? Add to your list if you’re a foodie!

The atmosphere here is very friendly and welcoming. We sat inside, and the booth was very comfortable, and the service was great. Everyone dining loved the food, overall a very good experience. Next time, I will probably look to sit outside on the balcony. It looked like a fun time.

Had a chance to celebrate with coworkers at Gram and Dun. It was an incredible experience, from the staff to the food this was a great moment for me. I had the pork chop shoulder and my goodness it was huge. If you’re looking for a nice place to with a great scenic vibe this is the place for you.

A group of gals, celebrating valentines (galentines). Reservation for 8, but only 6 came. 3 of us showed up first and got seated fast. We got our waters and a bottle of wine while we were waiting. I ordered the oysters, my best friend ordered the Asian pig wings, and her friend ordered something cold but tasted fantastic. My oysters were good , sauce was delicious, and apples were good. My best friend liked her Asian pig wings, but to me, there were king if dry; the sauce definitely made a difference. The sushi I ordered was great. My friend ordered the velvet Valentine's specia cake. The cake was not good. The icing was good, and strawberry was good. But over all the service was great the atmosphere was great but the food was a bit lacking. I'm nit sure about the other guests and if they enout the food but they definitely enjoyed the drinks.

This place is always so yummy. I have never been disappointed. We went for super club. I think table tried one of everything on the menu. Lol. Every person enjoyed their entrees, appetizers, sides, cocktails, and desserts. For cocktails I tried the D Cup and Love on top. I enjoyed both. Love on top was sweet with Carmel and coffee flavor. D cup was my favorite it was sweet and tart with lemonade flavor. For Dinner I had the Pumpkin Ravioli with Shrimp. Goat Cheese and Chive Mashed Potatoes. I loved both. For Dessert the Blood Orange Tart. I don’t normally like orange tart type desserts but wanted to try something new. I loved it. I tried a few of the other people’s dinners also. Everything was delicious. To top it off I can not say enough about the service. It was top notch and on point. She probably is the best wait staff I have had in a really long time. Honestly there is nothing to complain about. It was a perfect dinner. I would say if you have never been put it on your list to try. It’s so worth it. I recommend Gram and Dun.

We went to dinner for KC restaurant week. The service was amazing. Our waitress was very attentive. The restaurant week menu was delicious. Every course was good. Between the three of us, we were able to order every item on the menu and got to try a little bit of everything. Will definitely be coming back.

Best food and best service. We booked a private event for 22 and this was the perfect space. Guests commented on the delicious food, and I cannot give Drew and the manager enough compliments on the diligent and attentive service. Drew specifically asked about allergies and special requests, and knew to serve food between our presentations as this was a working dinner, and went above and beyond to accommodate our special requests. Wish I got more photos, but the atmosphere was great and the food was truly delicious. So glad I booked this space for my private event! I wouldn’t have gone anywhere else.

The food was good but then again how can you mess up French toast. I took off one star because service was slower then a turtle. I was there from. 10:30- 1 pm and most of that time was spent waiting on the server. Also the pricing was overpriced . This plate of French toast ( 2 slices of bread) was $15. No sides included. $5 for 2 strips of cold bacon cut in half. Your paying for the location and not the food.

The food and service here were both fantastic. We had a yummy tuna tartare, salad and the burnt ends ends mac & cheese really stood out! Highly recommend.

My wife and I went here for our anniversary dinner. The food was....good and the service was good. We were recommended food that we both thought was good, but we didn’t enjoy how loud the restaurant was. We wanted to have a nice conversation, but the room was so loud that we could barely hear each other. We went here on a friday night, so maybe a different day might be better. For this reason, I can not rate this a 5 star.

We had brunch here on New Year's Day. We were seated right away in a nice, sunny area of the restaurant. I had the brunch punch and it is very good. It was sweet but not overly sweet and I had two during our brunch. We got the prosciutto toast and the avocado to start. The avocado one was good, but the prosciutto was phenomenal! I am already trying to plan when I can go back for that! For my main dish I had the Crab Cake Benedict. It was good, the egg was cooked perfectly, no runny whites, but a perfectly uncooked yolk. While this was delicious, the prosciutto toast was the star of the show for us! We were too full for dessert.
