Excellent service. Awesome flavor. The wife and i visited Dott Boss a few weeks ago during a weekend getaway. Obviously we are not from the Kansas City area. She found it thru Google, and also close to the hotel we were staying at, the rest is history. Visited on a Sunday for brunch. I do not recall the names of the dishes we ordered, but the experience was great. We will definitely visit again in the future.

Incredibly poor service. The hostess was rude and instead of acknowledging me, she ignored me for more than 5 minutes, walking by me multiple times. She seated four people at the table next to where I was waiting and proceeded to, instead of acknowledging my presence, say, “excuse me” so that she could get them there waters although she had multiple other entry points. The hostess then proceeded try to sit people who walked in well after me. Finally seated, it took 5-7 minutes to get water and another 5-7 minutes to put my order in. I waited nearly 30 minutes for the basic All-American (eggs, sausage, ham, pancake). But undoubtedly, people who were seated well after me got there food well before I did. I asked for the check. It took another 10 minutes for the check to come. The waiter actually apologized for this, and this was swell, because someone at least acknowledged how poor even a piece of this experience was before I left. Btw, this is all fresh, as I’m still sitting here. I wish it were more of an interesting tail, but it’s not. Just incredibly poor service. First time, LAST TIME.

We stayed at The Hotel Indigo and didn’t know this place was attached to it. We received vouchers with our stay for free breakfast (up to $17 per person) and were pleasantly surprised about the food. Breakfast: The egg sandwiches were huge and the bagels were soft. The potatoes are the best. Perfectly seasoned and a little bit of crunch. The French toast was a good portion and super tasty. Again, the breakfast potatoes 👌 Yogurt and jam was a little bland but if you’re into not so sweet, this could work for you. The breakfast tacos were on the money! Definitely give these a try. So much flavor and good portion. The eggs Benedict was tasty and a good portion. Best part are those potatoes with it! Dinner: Nachos were ehhhh, not very good in my opinion. Just very basic and no shine to them. Alfredo dish was really good and the portion was great. Super tasty and not tooo creamy and we added the broccoli for some added flavor. Tenders salad was very basic and not worth the price. Drinks: Bloody Mary was made just right and hit the spot for an early morning pick me up. Mimosa was mixed perfectly and tasted great. All in all we had great experiences dining here. The food for the most part was good and the plate portions are generous. I think the prices are a little high but I guess that’s the trend in downtown Kansas City! Give this place a try.

This hotel is attached to the hotel indigo and has a street entrance on the corner of 11th and baltamore.. Ordered a coffee, was not horrible strong not burnt. A bit overpriced at 5 bucks. Especially just for a plain cup of joe. 7 out of 10. Ordered the breakfast sandwhich, it came ham, cheddar cheese, jalepeno peppers on sourdough bread video posted. This was a 9.5 out of 10. Ordered the french toast and again quite flavorful an 8 out of 10. Ordered their cinnamon roll, avoid it tasteless, dry. Not warm a 2 out of 10. It looks nice but tasted horrible. The atmosphere and customer service were top notch. For this overall i give it a 9 out of 10 or 4 out of 5 stars.

Landed in KC from Minneapolis early Friday morning and we got brunch at Dott Boss. Adam was out bartender and he was as friendly as could be, extremely welcoming and made us feel as though we had been coming there for years. Biscuits and gravy were top notch, super fluffy biscuits. We also got some breakfast tacos and they were superb. We met a patron there who mentioned going to the KC Royals baseball game that night and that ended up being our evening activity. Then Sunday morning came and we were deciding on food for brunch. No doubt in my mind that Dott Boss was the way to go, yet again 😎 When we got there it was much busier than the Friday prior but that made no difference to our experience. Adam was once again behind the bar and he not only remembered us but grabbed our drinks without us having to utter a word. Greeted with a smile and a sense of home, we tossed back a few drinksbefore I ended up ordering the Shrimp and Grits Benedict. Absolutely phenomenal!!!!!!! My partner in crime got the biscuits and gravy again because it was THAT good. So yeah, 10/10 would recommend coming to Dott Boss for breakfast/brunch whether KC is your hometown or if you're like us and just were in town for a visit. Adam, if you ever see this, let it be known you've got a customer for life 🤗 I hope we cross paths again! Thanks yo you and the Dott Boss crew for an awesome dining experience!

OMG!!! This place is awesome. So beautiful and I love the service. Biscuits and gravy is bomb. Everything is fancy. I saw another post saying it’s expensive, it’s not. Just expect to pay for what you order lol

Delicious brunch! We got the brioche French toast and biscuits & gravy with the intent to split half, but the French toast was so good, I almost ate it all before realizing it! It was just crispy enough and the sweet cream on the plate was a perfect addition. The dinner & cocktail menu looked great as well, so we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town!

The food at Dot Boss was immaculate, delectable and only over shadowed by the impeccable service. I absolutely recommend that anyone should treat themselves to this amazing restaurant.

Decent hotel restaurant. Good service and food. The Steak Tips were great, but the accompanying Loaded Mashed Potatoes were cold when they arrived at my table. How'd for better.

The food was tasty and reasonably priced for the portions. The bartender Lucas was great and the whole staff was friendly. I was looking for a chill place for dinner while visiting Kansas City and this cute little restaurant with a roaring 20's vibe definitely fit the bill. I didn't realize at first that the restaurant was attached to a hotel, but if the doors are locked, you just need to enter through Hotel Indigo.

Very nice restaurant that is technically part of the Indigo hotel, but you wouldn’t know it and it is so much better than typical hotel restaurants. Service was awesome. Adam our service/bartender was very friendly and chill. I highly recommend!

Ok, I hate to do this but it's the truth. We were headed out of town after a weekend getaway and came here for breakfast. The menu is different in an awesome way and we all ordered something different. The coffee cups are big as bowls which was also awesome! I ordered French toast, and it looked so good when it arrived. My daughter got the chicken and waffle sandwich, my friend the blueberry lemon pancakes and her daughter some kind of egg and avocado sandwich. Everything looked and tasted so good, but halfway through my French toast I found a hair cooked into the batter :( I was so upset and couldn't eat another bite. I didn't send it back because I never do unless you want a loogie in your next one. So I paid for it and never said a word. I was the only one who found a hair, of course. I don't live in KC so to say I won't go back doesn't mean much. It was very busy and everything but that was amazing. But a hair can take a 10 experience to a zero. :(

This is the freshest food I’ve had during my travels to KC. Great unknown spot. Great wings, great pot stickers.

Fun and classy decor. Friendly service. Not too expensive. We had some ceasar salads for dinner. The eggs benedict was lovely. Good local tap beer.

Food was delicious! We had breakfast twice and dinner once while staying there. On the first night our server went above and beyond. She helped make my wife’s birthday night special and added the touch of a candle with our dessert.

Lovely hidden gem in downtown at Hotel Indigo. Loved their breakfast! The French toast, eggs benedict and breakfast sandwich that we ordered were delicious and the right portion for us! Our waitress was super nice! Would come here again.

Out of exhaustion from travel, I ventured into my hotel's restaurant with no expectations. I was quickly impressed by my bartender/waitress, Emma, and her very friendly and helpful service. Enjoyed a lovely cocktail, and then a delicious sandwich which hit the spot! (You know that feeling after traveling a while, where you've eaten out so much nothing sounds good? Try this place to break that feeling!)

I have never been here before and have always wanted to go and oh boy, I'm sure glad I did! When first walking in the atmosphere was amazing had a Great Gatsby vibe cute red booths and lovely bar area, though the bar top was a little high but it's not a deal breaker. I was next greeted by a very friendly and informative bartender Luke who helped me pick out some tasty drinks off the cocktail menu and even shared some of his Jalapeño popper with me which were delicious. Luke was the cherry on top of the whole experience besides the fact they serve breakfast all day. Gotta love breakfast all day! But 10/10 I would recommend this place definitely will be coming back!

Service is top notch and food was outstanding. I've had several items from their new menu and absolutely love the fact they serve breakfast all day. What a wonderful place!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! We came into town for the AFC Championship game (Go Chiefs! ) and stayed at the Indigo. We were so glad we did, because this restaurant was excellent and their staff were fabulous. Will definitely be back!

Great atmosphere. Friendly and personable bartenders and waiters. Food and drinks were so good. Mango is a professional cocktail artist. I would recommend! I had no reason to leave our hotel with this restaurant being attached to the Indigo hotel. Thanks for the great food and service!

The food and service were excellent. The issue was the unwillingness of the nearly empty restaurant to accommodate a party of 6 by pulling a couple of tables together. While waiting for my food I moved my chair to the remainder of our party to talk for a few minutes while waiting for our food. One of our party observed the apparent manager say "I can't believe he moved his chair to one of the staff." I probably won't be back.

In town for a wedding staying at the Hotel Indigo. Was hesitant to visit a restaurant attached to a hotel. I should not have been... We had brunch there and were very satisfied. The service was excellent. We ordered the French toast and the breakfast sandwich. We were pleasantly surprised. The French toast was the best we've had in years and the sandwich was great. The sandwich came with an egg, and mine was a perfectly cooked over medium as I ordered. I highly recommend Dott Boss when you're downtown.

It was decent but the portions weren't worth the price. Also, the granola breakfast I got tasted like toothpaste. Apparently it had mint infused honey around it but that wasn't labeled on the menu we had. Gravy was more like a sausage flavored water, didn't have the traditional gravy consistency so it ran over everything else on the plate and there was no bartender during a peak brunch hour.

The farm to table is evident in the quality of everything from the eggs to the bacon to the cream! Service was good even with the busy morning crowd. Get the breakfast potatoes you won't be disappointed!

Whenever I’m in town I try to stop here for breakfast. The servers are always nice and attentive. It looks like it could be a cool whiskey bar at night by the selection of dark liquor but I can’t say that I’ve been here at night. The selection of food and drink options is great and I’ve never had an item I didn’t like. The breakfast sausage is surprisingly amazing too. You’ve got to try it. It’s also never too busy but I do eat a bit late than more I think. They also have a lot of tv’s and play game if you’re worried about that.

Very nice space with a cozy feel. Super friendly and engaging bartenders. If you have the KC Passport, cocktails in photo are BOGO. The Manhattan, pictured, was superb! Will be returning!
