The owner said everything is homemade and I 100% believe it. The flavors are so fresh, balanced between sweet and savory spices. The hummus is rich with tahini - many places use too high a ratio of chickpeas for my taste. Lots of fresh herbs in every bite of food. I daydream about the lentil soup - I could drink that stuff straight anytime of the day. We recently moved to town & we've been back a couple of times already - looking forward to trying the whole menu!

Unassuming storefront off N. Oak Trfwy leads to some delicious Mediterranean food. Savory meals as well as a friendly owner and staff made for a pleasant visit.

One of our favorite places for take-out! Mediterranean comfort food. Lentil soup is a must-order. Greek salad and Gyro, as well.

Possibly the best food I've ever eaten. Definitely treat yourself to one of their lemonade slushes! They use real and fresh fruits. All the ingredients in their dishes are obviously quality. The atmosphere is also cozy and charming. Always clean. Always good service. Quickly becoming my favorite!

Amazing food. I finally found a decent Middle Eastern restaurant in the KC area. Mixed plate, half chicken with rice & babaganoush were very good & flavorful. Will definitely return.

I always order the chicken shwarma plate and it is really good! However, it comes with hummus, salad, and pita bread but I let them know I don't want the salad or hummus. Because I don't get hummus, they don't give me the pita bread, they say I have to pay for it. Why, if it comes with the plate anyway? Doesn't make sense to me and that's why I haven't been ordering from them anymore.

Small family owned restaurant. Authentic middle eastern food. Falafel, Hummus, HUGE assortment plate with kabobs etc. All very tasty.

I will be back!! Everything here was delicious. The falafel was perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The entrees we had were great too.

I ordered this place for lunch to be delivered and now I want this place for every meal. I didn’t take a picture of my lamb shawarma because I ate it too fast. But, it was very tasty and fries were nice a seasoned with a nice crisp. Let me tell you about the lentil soup though…the best I have ever had. Not sure about what exactly the little dumpling like pieces were in the soup, but I loved it. The soup smells so good and has such a great flavor, with lots of depth, and a medium/light thickness. I am forever ruined on lentil soup. I can’t wait to go to the actual restaurant.

This restaurant is a small family run operation with excellent tasting Mediterranean food. We loved the desert counter too.

Reviews got me in the door. Fries were not done and soggy. Tomatoes were yellow. Onions and peppers were cold, not grilled at all. Not impressed at all. I would not recommend to anyone and I'll never go back.

A genuinely flavorful experience. The dishes were well made and generous in size. The service was efficient and helpful especially when we asked for recommendations and explanations. The chicken shawarma plate had nice fluffy rice, flavorful chicken, very creamy smooth hummus and a very well seasoned green salad. Two full for dessert but the sweet case looked extremely tempting and very well made. There was an apple pie as well as a pecan pie available. The location is convenient although not very well known. Stop in and treat yourself to something fresh and delicious. Very well made and healthy.

I wish I could rate it higher. The food were decent. Here is our review on food. Falafel was good. Hummus was creamy but little too sour and the pita was not warm. Lamb shank dish was great. Very flavorful and tender lamb. Mashawi mixed plate was just ok. I wish the meats were more tender and the salad and hummus are not so sour. The saffron rice was perfection. Kunefah flavor was good but the cheese was so hard my fork couldn’t pierce through. All in all a decent meal.

I had left a glowing review just earlier today so the irony is not lost on me that hours later I find myself going back and changing that review. I ordered from there tonight and they left the meat off my meal and the fries are disgustingly soggy and cold. The fries have always been nasty though. I was so unimpressed with their gyro when I got it on a previous trip that I decided to never order it from there again. They may have just lost my business for good. Shame, I really liked having a Mediterranean place so close.

Exquisite! Yeah it is not a slick looking suburban restaurant but this is the best tasting food I have had of any kind in 20 years of eating out. I mean this is superior to any restaurant food of any kind. If you are thinking about Jerusalem Cafe skip it because it is not even close.

Food is absolutely delicious! On the menu it says 20oz bottles of Coke... But the one they bring is only 16. That's a 20% difference that is very misleading. Also, the size of the baclava is ridiculously small.

Easily the best Mediterranean food in the Kansas City area with exceptional service. A cozy atmosphere that makes you feel like you are in the Middle East. An impressive, beautiful and delicious assortment of hand crafted desserts. I'm so excited I found this treasure and highly recommend it!

I have ordered here are a few times now, and never been disappointed! The falafel wrap is delicious and the seasoning on the fries is everything! Tons of food for extremely reasonable prices. Always excited when I have an opportunity to stop in!

I wish I could give more stars. The food is absolutely delicious. The stuffed grape leaf plate took me out of the restaurant and transported me to a home. This dish tasted like a christmas morning and this was my first time ever tasting it, dip in hummus and follow with a bite of pita. The man working the cash register is warm, welcoming and willing to answer all questions. He helps ALL customers this attentively, even the ones calling- in to order. I will be coming here regularly. 10/10 definitely recommend!

I love the warm and kind aura this place gives off. If you want authentic Mediterranean food, this is your place. I suggest the Mashawi Mix plate single, the deliciously crispy falafel, and the exceptional grape leaf rolls. Don't leave without tasting their Baklava.

Great food all around for Middle Eastern and Mediterranean options! Loved the Mediterranean platter with hummus, Babaganoush, grape leaves, and falafel!! Really taste the smokiness in the Babaganoush and the hummus is very smooth with a great addition of great quality olive oil. The grape leaves were warm and seasoned well, and the falafel was executed perfectly having a good amount of herbs and not dry at allI got the kebab platter and my wife ordered the Chicken gyro with a salad. All the food was delicious. I love the saffron rice. It reminded me of a dish my brother-in-law cooked, and he was Jordanian. The Kebabs were equally delicious with just enough grilling, and they were seasoned well. You can also taste the lamb and beef mixture, which I loved. My wife said her chicken gyro was the best one she has had in the KC area. I liked the salad. It is heavily dressed with their vinaigrette and it can look wilted, but that's how that salad is prepared because I have had this version in several middle eastern restaurants. Will definitely be coming back for the food!!. I also understand they do doordash or delivery, and I wish I lived closer cause I would order or go to the restaurant at least, weekly.

Let me start off with, This place is fantastic! I ordered off of DoorDash. Only thing I knew was it had 4 stars and the fee was low. Never ordered from here before. Food arrived timely and still hot. I got the Beef Gyro Plate and a soda. I opened my box and BAM! As you can see everything was displayed great and I was excited to try it. Now was it as good as it looks? Ah, YES! The beef gyro meat and rice was wonderful, the salad was great and the pita and hummus was wonderful too. I will be back again and can't wait! You can tell the food is made with fresh ingredients.
