Cozy spot, great happy hour deals. Recommend sitting in the window on a rainy afternoon with a glass of bubbly. Cheers!

We loved our experience here! My girlfriend and I came for her birthday and not only was the food amazing but the service was above and beyond what our expectations were. They made us feel special and welcome. Our server Brittany was the best server ever! What we ordered: Grapefruit and OJ mimosas CRÊPES with poached chicken, roasted mushroom, Jason Wiebe 'Cottonwood' cheddar, sunny egg *The crepe was moist and delicious. It was extremely filling.* CROISSANTS with ham and cheddar *By far the best croissant we've had since moving to KC.* POTATO CRUST QUICHE (GF) with bacon, gruyère, spring onion *The quiche was divine. I am still in awe of all the savory flavors found in one small dish. While it was small I find that it was able to not only fill me but send me into a blissful state of being full.* WE WILL BE BACK!

Loved this spot ! Came early afternoon and sat in the last moments of daylight on the patio. I wasn’t sure on bubbles and service brought out two options to choose from which was very helpful. Croque was actually really incredible.

I have never felt more discriminated against in my entire life. Very judgmental staff. Looks like I dodged a bullet based on the other negative reviews. No wonder the place had only one customer, which appeared to just be a friend of the bartender.

Stopped here once for brunch and got a sandwich I can't pronounce. Lol It was really good and the mimosas were good. The atmosphere and service was good, but there may be a wait at times. Reservations are recommended. Was a little pricey for me, and gratuity was automatically added. I always tip, but I'm not a fan of automatically adding it.

Charging an extra 20% so your servers can have a "liveable earning"???? How about you PAY them better? Nope, wont go in to a socialists shop. Good luck, hope it goes belly up. Reading reviews doesn't sound like I am missing much.

This was a great place to have some food and drinks! Service was great, and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Great for a low-key night out in Kansas City!

This adorable little champagne focused cafe was so perfect! Our waitress was the sweetest and most fun! Our food and mimosas were delicious! Servings just the right size. We had crepes and croques.

My friend and I are only in Kansas City for two nights so we decided to check out Cą Va on a Friday evening. First of all, I had called earlier in the evening to check about reservations and no picked up at first and I figured no biggie, it's Friday night, I'll call back in a few minutes. Instead, just a couple minutes later, the owner, Howard, *called me back*! He was so sweet on the phone and I was so stunned to have a restaurant/bar call me back, I was immediately enamored with them. Once there, my friend and I ordered the pecan pie (both of us did), the fries (also both), I got the squash apple soup -- everything was delicious, well made, and paired perfectly with my French 75 cocktail. Our server, Ella, was an absolute delight, too. I didn't take pictures of the food or drinks so you'll just have to trust me!!

Croissants were absolutely delicious (edit: they don't even make them). Food and drinks in general were fine, server was nice. I can see why other reviews mentioned this place being dirty, cobwebs and dust everywhere. They were out of several things when we went around 1pm during Sunday brunch. Be aware that a 20% gratuity is included in the tab - usually wouldn't be an issue except I was not made aware of this by the server and I wish I had. I didn't pay close enough attention when paying and the policy can be found very tiny at the bottom of their virtual menu. We had a large party and I tip well anyways so they probably got a 45% tip off of me in total. I really wish the server had pointed that policy out when handing me the check. Between the policy being written in very tiny print on a non physical menu in addition to the server not mentioning it outright (especially because we were a larger party) it really left a bad taste in my mouth. It was my first time in and it's not likely I'll be back.

Went for my birthday. It was a good experience but it felt limited with the menu and wine options. Service was good also. Most nicer restaurants give you a free drink or dessert and I was just offered a happy birthday. I’m glad I checked it out but probably not a place I am rushing to visit again. We are somewhat foodies and the portions were on the smaller side but nothing impressive. Great place for unique cocktails. Uber there because parking in the area is limited.

Phenomenal little place. Lively, chatty atmosphere, wonderful service, spectacular libations. I definitely recommend a reservation. My wife and I came without one, and they put us on a short list. We got in half an hour later. Our server helped us figure out what we'd like. Everything was excellent. Not cheap but worth every penny.

This is one of the most charming low key date night locations in the city. The food and snacks are exceptional and the tenders were very skillful able to make a drink on request not one their menu without having to look it up. I always appreciate the care their employees offer

Love this little place! Came here for the first time about five years ago when my husband and I visited KC for our second anniversary, so it holds a special place in my heart. Went back with my sister and it was very good! It’s been many years so the menu has changed, but it was still good. We just snacked and got the Brie, devilled eggs, and mussels and a bottle of sparkling for happy hour. Our server was very sweet, we got there about 5:50 and happy hour ended at six. No one came over to our table before 6pm (I almost got up and went to the bar myself). She finally came over right after it turned six. Asked for our drinks, and I inquired if we could still do the happy hour pricing on our drinks because no one came to our table for at least 10 minutes. She was hesitant at first but then said on our first round we could do happy hour pricing. It was very kind of her and I’ll remember that. It’s such a cozy, romantic atmosphere and they have a small patio as well. Definitely will come back next time I’m in KC!

Mariah was such a great waitress while celebrating our 5 year anniversary. She gave great recommendations and helped us celebrate appropriately!

This is the best kept secret in Kansas City. The food is amazing, and the staff is extremely helping in providing recommendations for drinks. There is no place I would rather have a light dinner to start the night or a few drinks to end the night, or both.

An absolutely fantastic place. The closest alternative I have to spending afternoons at brasseries in Paris/Lyon. The outdoor patio area is phenomenal. There is shading, tables aren’t microscopic and it’s between 2 buildings not in front of the street. Small food selection which I liked, in the sense that you come there to drink not eat dinner, but there is the option to munch on something if needed. Very relaxed environment, will definitely be going often.

Came through on a Thursday night and was lucky enough to hear a string trio playing some wonderful music on the patio. Had a Dapper Sipper and a slice of the three layer cake. The cocktail was smooth but strong, with good flavor. The cake was rich, but not overbearing. The icing is light, possibly an Italian buttercreme? Raspberry flavor is sharp and refreshing. Overall ambiance was wonderful and a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the day. Definitely recommend people stop in when they can.

This wine bar came up in a search for best brunch in Kansas City. My husband and I went there to celebrate my birthday. We were not disappointed. The entire experience was very French, including the music that played in the background. The Mimosa bar was something we had never done before and we loved it. For $25 we could buy a bottle of champagne and have as many mimosas as we wanted to make. There were four types of juices, many homemade syrups, a variety of herbs and bitters, everything you need to make a unique Mimosa. The quiche and the crepes were fantastic. I would highly recommend this as a fun and unique place to go
