A beautiful park with a lot of things to look at! I come here for a walk all season, tennis during summer and fall.

One of KC's most beautiful parks. I love coming here anytime of the year, particularly in the spring and the fall. When they are in bloom, the Rose Garden is spectacular. The pond, with multiple fountains, bridges, and a winding path around and over it, is phenomenal. Because of its size, the park makes a great venue for weddings, runs, walks, family reunions, and more.

Beautiful park even in the winter time i would imagine. It was still a cool Spring afternoon in April and you can tell the locals love this place. Great place to bring lunch and just enjoy the fresh air. Lots of area to walk your dog. And has restrooms but they weren't open yet. Lots of open space and some playground areas for the kids.

When you live in KC, it's almost like you take loose park for granted. You know it's in a beautiful area, you drive by and your like "oh that's a nice park". But you really don't truly appreciate it when you take the time to walk it and realize how beautiful it actually is. We took a stroll around the ( I believe it is 1 mile) path around and we basked in the beauty of the park. The glowing trees in fall are the perfect backdrop to a walk, the peaceful pond and stunning architecture. Not to mention the rose garden. Don't be like us and wait 3 years to spend meaningful time in this park like we did. This is a staple of KC and a must visit for anyone visiting or living in the area.

Great City park. Lots of green area to spread out. Beautiful spring trees blooming this time of year make great photo opportunities. Nice playground for the kids. Seemed to be a few years old, but well maintained and condition. Good amount of benches and areas to grill. Park was very clean too, and a good amount of parking.

We visited because we wanted to see the rose garden. That alone is worth 5 stars and more. Very impressive! Google had a difficult time getting us there, but once we arrived, we enjoyed all the roses that were blooming even in October.

A go-to place for afternoon walks. Great rubbery walking/running trail on the perimeter and a more winding sidewalk throughout the park. They have a nice pond with fish and a weeping willow surrounded by benches. Plenty of people hang hammocks, set-up picnics, or throw frisbees in the expansive green space. There is a playground for kids right across from the school. Truly an enjoyable space for all people.

It's a beautiful, open park with plenty of places to hammock, picnic, or toss the frisbee. There's a rose garden, ponds, playgrounds, and tennis courts, as well. We appreciate it most for the rolling fields, large and beautiful trees, and because it is our favorite place to walk a dog.

This park is absolutely beautiful. Best in the early mornings before it gets hot, if you're out here in the summer. The rose garden and small pond are great walkthroughs. Also lots of great historic information.

Cute little park, good walking trail that is not too long. Lovely rose garden and small pond. Has a lot of benches to sit down and relax at. Also has a little historical feature which is fun to read!

This is by far the BEST public park in Kansas City. It has beautiful, wide-open meadows, perfect for flying a kite or throwing a frisbee with your dog. There are towering trees, some of which are rumored to have seen fighting during the Civil War… The rubberized asphalt waking/running path is a 1.3-mile loop. You’ll pass a duck pond on your jog and a magical rose garden, that looks like it was plucked straight out of old Europe! This Plaza-adjacent park is a must-do on any visit to Kansas City.

Nice park in an urban setting. Lots of trails for running and walking. Fountains with ponds enhance the experience. Ample free parking available. The rose garden is a must visit, so many colours of roses.

A well kept park that has a beautiful rose garden and cherry blossom trees. Went there on 03/28 and I could see the cherry blossom trees are budding if you are interested. I plan to go back there to see the Sakura flowers in a week or two. Hopefully I am lucky enough to see them. You can bring dogs to the park as long as they are on leashed. It has a beautiful pond and tennis court too.

One of the most beautiful roses we've ever seen 😍. Nice ambience and good size walking/running trail. Kids will love the swings in the park. Plenty of parking in couple of lots. Go out and get some workout. You will not regret it.

Lots of walking trails and large playground. Rose garden was pretty. Place was pretty full of photographers. Bathrooms were disgusting but expected. Lots of spots for a picnic on the grass and good parking. Nice place in the city but very busy still.

Beautiful park, my favorite place to go in the fall to see fall colors. Many people come here to shoot photos and sometimes wedding pictures. The park has a pond in the middle. Great place to have picnic too. Highly recommend.

I love Jacob L. Loose Park. It’s the best park in the greater KCMO area, frankly. It’s vast, clean, varied (tennis courts, track, playground, fountains, rose garden, expansive greenery, etc…) you really can’t go wrong. Come at night if you love bats, salacious sex on benches, and weed smoking in the bushes. Bonus points if you see all three simultaneously (spoiler: you will.) I love taking my hammock here on a breezy, warm day and listening to Gen Z talk about tock tick or whatever while I bask in the sunlight and nearly choke once I realize I’m smack dab in the middle of one of the richest zip codes in the Midwest.

So much for free!!! A beautiful rose garden, a pond with lots of ducks and fish, squirrel bens in so many trees, nice shades, grassy lawns, a splash pad, an indoor pavilion, restrooms and so much more. A perfect place to celebrate your special days and have picnics. We had a good time. Enough spaces to keep the social distance. But not good spots for hammocs as the trees are not that closer

My wife had fond memories of the rose garden here, so we decided to pay a visit. It's a very nice park, seems to be dog friendly (if they're on a leash), and the roses were lovely!

This place is amazing, but we went on hot summer day. There so many different flower from pink, red, white, yellow, red. Also be careful when touching them. So many thorns. The views was amazing and took couple pictures with my friend. Don’t know if we are allow to pick some flower to take home with us, but we did. The fountain in the middle gave it a best look and scenario. Wish they had some fish in there as well.

This park is beautiful, so many places to walk around and look. They have a walking trail, pond with LOTS of fish, turtles, birds. They have a tennis court, splash pad, rose garden, picnic tables, swings, fountain and plenty of open areas to have a picnic. The only issue is that there is no where near enough parking for people. Definitely needs way more parking!!!

I have lived in KC my entire life and this is the best park! Walking/Running path on the perimeter is made from the rubber track material. Lots of picnic areas, shade trees, rose bushes and park benches.

This park has been a part of my life since childhood...we used to ice skate on the pond long before the bridge work was put in...we flew kites in the summer, had picnics galore, played tennis, etc...if you're in Kansas City, please put visiting Loose Park on your "must do" list...no matter what the season, you will not be disappointed with its beauty...

Went early in the morning just to be outside before the heat. It was amazing! Well maintained, beautiful rose garden. Nice park, flat, easy to get around.

Always beautiful at the Rose Garden! Down at the pond is another story! The pond was full of trash and brown foam in area by the bridges! It was just gross. My friend was having her wedding down there and it was Really sad!

A beautiful park with a paved walkway and foot bridges winds through shaded venues, gardens, waterscapes, and open spaces. A great place to unwind, get some fresh air, or maybe snap a photo or two!

Very beautiful place to escape to and free your mind. The rose garden is beautiful to walk through. They clean shaded areas to sit and maybe have a picnic. They are dog friendly but you do need to have them on a leash.

Great playground with two playsets and two sets of swings, one baby and one regular. Also has a rock wall. Many picnic benches and tables around.

Beautiful park found right outside downtown Kansas city. If you're looking for local events, lush waking paths, or just a stroll, this is the place to go. Lots of open areas to picnic or hangout. There's a couple gardens and a beautiful pond with water features. Whether you're out with the family or just looking for a small getaway this place is stunning.

Great park! I love the walking trails, rose garden and great picnic areas. The pond needs a bit of cleaning of debris, but overall a well kept park.
