I don’t recommend this tour. Needs more in-depth history of the city and the areas covered on the tour’s route. Went on this tour 8/1/21. The tour guide was not as informative about the rich history of Kansas City Missouri. The information she did share was very shallow and she couldn’t answer any my questions. She did not even know the history of the historical area she drove through. There were street signs that said HISTORIC DISTRICT. When asked what was historic about that area, she said she did not see the signs and made a joke about it. Very disappointed!!! Not much about the city’s culture, its neighborhoods, or even how the city has changed over the years. This was not the best tour ever. She did share some information that even people living in the city didn’t know but those few tidbits were subpar. Research, population demographics, and depth of information the culture would make this a great tour

Great tour. Great information. The air conditioner from the ride is not working. So, don't recommend to take it in summer time! I mean I get is hot, but a few hours into the ride (if air was working) it would had stayed the same tempeture or gotten a bit more cool, but that did not happened. It got hotter instead. I learned a lot, but it was so hot 🔥 that we started to sweet and feel queasy. The last minutes became to much to bare because of the heat. I wanted it to end. Not because the tour per say, but the broken air conditioner.

This is the fifth or sixth time we have taken the trolley tour of Kansas City. Have to give kudos to Carla, our driver/tour guide, who does a great job of describing all of the local sites and infuses a great sense of humor with the tour. Would recommend to anybody who has friends or relatives in town, and want to give them an overview of what to see and where to go in Kansas City. Keep up the good work KC Fun tours and tell Carla she does an outstanding job.

This tour is the best! We have been on many tours in the US and Europe and this was my favorite. You get the history, fun facts, comedy and wonderful stories about Kansas City. My daughter will be visiting soon and I will tell her this is a must to do on her trip.

Driver was great and knowledgeable, however it is advertised as being air conditioned. It definitely is not. About 10 minutes into the tour everyone was complaining of the heat on board to which the driver responded “it’s not going to get any better your in a metal bullet” it was colder when we got off the bus than it was on the bus. I was very nauseous from the extreme heat on the bus I could not even focus on the tour. Because of that, I would not recommend this tour in the summer time unless they fixed the AC. I did see responses from the owner on previous reviews, and I can 100% say this bus does NOT have air conditioning. There was zero moving air on this bus. I completely sweat through my clothes and felt that it was very dangerous to even be offering tours in the heat if they cannot provide adequate conditions. If you are pregnant or sensitive to the heat this will not be an enjoyable ride for you. I also would not recommend children go on this tour, as it is similar to being left in a hot car in the summer.

We took the KC Fun Trolley last night for a view of the plaza lights. Even though we see the lights every year, taking the trolley gave us a whole different perspective—A little more knowledge (by a very fun tour guide) and a lot of lights! There are neighborhoods tucked in around the area that have fun light shows too. If you have family coming in town who want to see a little of our local area over the holidays (or if you just want to soak up a little more of our city) this is a fun way! An hour and a half of roaming the city in a trolley makes fun family time.

We took this tour on September 22, 2022. We have taken MANY Trolley tours and this one was excellent! Karla did a fantastic job of showing us around the city, pointing out places of interest, informing us of the city’s history, and adding some amusing anecdotes. It was very evident that she loves that city. I would highly recommend.

Trolly Tom was informative and entertaining. I’m a first time visitor so it was all new to me but my husband grew up here and learned things he didn’t know. It’s a great introduction to the area. I highly recommend.

Tom was a really awesome tour guide. Took the tour on my first day in the city, and found myself spouting off Tom's facts throughout the remainder of my visit. One thing to mention, the kiosk to check in and get tickets for the tour is inside Union Station past the restaurant in the center. It doesn't really have a sign that says the name "Kansas City Fun Tours" so just be aware. Take the tour!

Was an excellent tour. Trolly Tom was awesome. Informative and humorous. Lived in the KC area once, but had not been back in 40 years. Great overview of city and its history. Well worth the time!

This is a great tour to take of KC. I've lived here 25 years and learned so many fun facts about Kansas City! I have gone twice and learned new info the second time!

This was so worth it!!! I learned so many things about the city and what I can do here. Quick way to tour the city and come up with a plan for what to do on the trip. Best way to start off the trip!!

Carla was our tour guide today and she was so much fun! She sprinkled hilarious jokes throughout her knowledgeable presentation of the history and current events of the KC area. She handled disruptive passengers with ease and didn’t let their behavior ruin a good time. We will recommend her tours liberally to friends and family, and to whomever is reading this review. She was really great, and we had a good time getting reacquainted with our beloved city after a 20 year hiatus. ❤️

Trolley Tom was our guide and we had most of the bus full with our family reunion folks from all over the country. I grew up in KC and enjoyed it thoroughly! This activity exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend this whether you live here or not. :)

We had Carla as our tour guide and those 90 minutes flew by with so much great information about our beautiful city! I had 11 ladies from many areas of the U.S. here and they loved learning about KC! Carla did a wonderful job!

This tour was a fabulous experience. It has something to offer for people that live in kc and for people that don't. Id say if you're a parrent you should maybe not take any child that is under 10 becuase this tour is alot of old history talk and that may not be the best for all children under 10. The tour gives a veary descriptive description of kansas city's rich history and the tour also explains the meaning behind alot of buildings. Our driver Carla was amazing. She brought alot of life to the trip and made it a tour to remember.

The tour operator is highly knowledgeable about Kanas City and its historic sites. You will learn much and get good recommendations on where to visit and see things on your own time.

Fun, informative, 90 minute tour to get a great overview of the city's districts, monuments, museums, fountains, etc! We had a knowledgeable, well spoken tour guide this morning (but unfortunately don't remember her name). Highly recommend!!!

We take city tours in every new city we visit, including Europe. This is one of the best.

Really nice staff...but pretty underwhelming holiday lights tour. If you're from KC, it's probably not for you. Maybe if you're an 'out-of-towner' or someone who doesn't get out much and see the city. Not sure about the Historic Tour - it might be a better bet. I like local businesses, but this just didn't do much for our family.

We took a rainy Sunday 10:00 a.m. July tour with Carla. She did a great job was informative and funny. A history tour like this would be great for every major metropolitan area, maybe even my own town, orients you to the area. I joked to my husband, we're going on bus tours now I'm instead of bars, must mean we are getting old.
