This place is FANTASTIC! If you are lucky enough to come at night time you have quite the adventure ahead of you! We drove down from Chicago after work and got in about 3am (we were told when we booked we could check in until 7 am). First we were greeted by the fun party atmosphere outside the front office (party lights FTW!). There is also an atmosphere of safety that strikes you immediately upon entering the premises. The motel room doors clearly are very strong, it looks as though people have attempted to break into them many times but to no avail! There is razor wire on the adjacent lot's chain link fence, and upon entering the front office you immediately feel safe and secure with several large monitors showing live security camera feeds and bullet proof glass protecting you from the empty concierge desk. This establishment also should be lauded for providing their employees with great work-life balance. We used the ringer provided and after no one answered, attempted to call the Inn for help checking in. After about 20 minutes and multiple attempts to contact management we realized how well their employees must be treated. Clearly no one was working at such an awful hour and we assumed they were home spending quality time with their families. They also run a tight ship business-wise. When we contacted management the next day (after having to find a different place stay at 330am) for a refund they would not give in. They reported there were 10 people checked in between 1 and 7 am and therefore would not provide a refund. When we asked them to review their (extensive) security set up for footage of us attempting to check in they would not budge. At that point we knew we were dealing with financial and business savvy whiz-kids far beyond our capacity. That's when we decided to get a refund from the second party that we booked through (expedia) and let their professionals take over. In all honesty, I can't give a full review because we didn't even get to see the inside of a room, I'm sure they are luxurious. However, as an added bonus they do provide free Gospel and church pamphlets at the desk so you have praying material handy when you hear the local nighttime gun shots.

The photo of the exterior is photoshopped! It's has barb wire around the fence and bullet proof glass inside. I had to cancel my reservation when I got there and saw what a shot hole this place was. In no way did I feel safe do not stay here!

The one WiFi is super flaky and the other is a pretty weak signal (move around and you are likely to lose it). Ask for the WiFi name and password. Rooms could be cleaner (vacuuming more thoroughly, clean the tubs better). Not all rooms are the same, some have more trash cans, not all TVs are the same size, some have a microwave with a turntable, some have one without a turntable, some have more chairs than others. I have seen no coffee makers in the rooms I have had yet they says basic rooms have them. When I have been there it has been pretty quiet. Got to change from a room with 2 beds to one with 1 bed with no complaint from the desk clerk.

Lets start at i had to hive them a star just to be able to give this review if it weren't for that i would give them a wrecking ball and bulldozer. This has been THE worst experience I have ever had in my life. The half way didn't want to honor my expidia reservations, the area looked like Crack head central ,the sheets where extra dirty with black spots and dead skin the TV didn't work then when I tried to make it work for us by asking for more sheets and how to work the TV they sent some drunk dude to bang on our door cuss at my wife and tell us we had to leave right now, so after I called the police then they changed their tune to we'll give u another room just for the cops to show up and made me feel like I had taken my wife to a pay by the hour motel and we didn't pay for an extra hour we didn't use cause we had to fight with the so called Manger, thus experience was so bad I will never use Expedia again based off the fact they would associate and attach their names to such a place it only took the cops 2 minutes to get there cause they was circling the block the whole night arresting people and pulling people over and this is right downtown KC and this is only after 15 minutes on site that place should be closed down by the health department or city regulatory affairs for health hazard and a nuisance property

I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. We had booked for two nights, but could only bear to stay for one. The street-facing window was broken, the fridge smelt like death, everything was stained and dirty and the television didn't work (though this was the least of our worries). When we complained to the staff member on the desk he was very unhelpful and told us if we didn't like it we should go somewhere else. So we did. I have often stayed in places that have bad reviews and thought, 'it won't be THAT bad'. But this one is. Don't go there.

Rooms are ok for this area which isn't a good one. The problem is the free WiFi only covers less then half the rooms. If you want free WiFi book a room close to the lobby. The beds are made with 2 top sheets like your back in the 50s. Also the carpet is dirty. All in all avoid this area of town. Bullet proof glass around the front desk.

Staying at the Admiral Hotel got the job done. It was a good place to get some sleep but it was a little bit of an eyesore. One thing I didn't like about the rooms was the faucets only had hot water.

I stayed for 30 mins on May 6th 2016. 15mins getting stuff out the car and 15mins loading in. Upon opening the room #116 there were 3 cockroaches that ran under the toilet and a cobweb that could hold a tarantula. There was blood on the mirrors that looked like people popped pimples all over. Sheets had stains all over it. And the towels looked like they were used to wipe someone's ass. We immediately left and I asked for a refund and the manager was an absolute low life about it. And insisted that the room was brand new and nothing was wrong with it. DO NOT STAY HERE. 85 dollars to have a possible prostitute sleep in the stairwells as posted on window. 1 star is way too much to give the hell hole.

We arrived and attempted to give it a chance. However, after 15 minutes we saw multiple roaches and checked out. Do not stay here. We booked this hotel via Orbitz as it was rated 3 stars and included free breakfast- LIES! DO NOT STAY HERE. IT'S A DISASTER

Clean . Secure. Very hospitable staff. Immediately access to major highways and blocks from power and light and The Vine district downtown.
