The night lady was very rude . I got a little dirt on a towel and gave me a huge lecture on how people don’t have common sense and their going to charge me ect. Wasn’t polite very rude on how she was talking to me . Horrible customer service . Will not come back to this location . Also microwave does not work and there’s no kitchen ware . There was no breakfast either . The rates are great and I love that I can have my pet here . There is a pet deposit everyday your here and they don’t tell you on your reservation only upon arrival which is really inconvenient to customers . The morning front lady is awesome though ! Also bathroom tub has rust and beds are very uncomfortable. My pillow also had a yellow stain on it .

The location is the best thing going!!! I booked a room here on a recommendation from a friend. I went with an open mind as it was very different from the other hotels I've stayed in. Needless to say, I was not pleased. The room is very drab in color, the mattress on the bed was obviously worn out by the sunken area at the foot of the bed. The desk chair needed replacing and there was rust present in the bathroom. For this to be a non-smoking hotel, smoking was surely taking place down the hall from my room. When we weren't dealing with smoke, we were killing the few ants we saw. This was such a ONE and DONE for me. #neveragain

So tonight my husband's work got him a hotel room for 3 nights it's he is living out of his vehicle In the heat. He has a picture of his ID and last week he stayed there And they let him check in but tonight Angela the front desk person who works overnight was very rude hung up on me said she was going to call the cops would not let my husband check in with a copy of his ID card I sent him over the phone. She was yelling at me would not let me speak. This is very unprofessional. I am dealing with a death in my family and I am unable to drive from TX to give him his ID. Like I said not even a week ago they let him check in then she lied and said she talked to her manager if my husband has a heat stroke I will be getting a lawyer. The room has been paid for up front for 3 days

So shocked at the level of attentiveness and understanding of the staff here. Tiffany and Taylor at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure I was accommodated. I was given a first floor room, and I'm traveling alone and mentioned being uncomfortable on the ground floor and they assigned me a new room without hesitation. They also personally checked to make sure my room was to my liking. Hands down this was the best part of my trip to kansas city. I am comfortable, and will rest easy tonight. Thank you extended stay America for choosing employees that go above and beyond for your guests. I will be staying here whenever I come back to KC! 🩵

The staff here is amazing! It doesn't matter who is working ( Tiffany, Lori, Taylor, Q, Jay,or the GM) they are always friendly, making you feel welcomed and willing to assist you in a timely and professional manner. The staff definitely adds a positive bonus to the stay making the hotel feel like a community that is fun and safe to stay at, and the location is great. I would definitely stay here again.

This used to be a great spot to stay long term, however, since one of the other local hotels was bought out, this place has gone downhill fast. Staff can't keep up on what days they set to clean the rooms, constantly being asked 'when are you leaving' even though they can look it up themselves (pushing out people who pay less to take in ones that will pay more), trash always all over so staff isn't really walking around and keeping up (too busy talking), and fired maintenance for helping disabled people. Previous Manager was trash and new manager doesn't want their job, but forced into it, so of course nothing changes. They try to rip you off at every turn and charge you full even when you have tax exemptions and a Veteran. Which turns into more work as the one staying because then you have to deal with customer service. I wouldn't stay here again.

I travel weekly for conventions and this is the sketchiest and most unwelcoming hotel I've been to so far. The staff was extremely rude. She even seemed angry when I asked her to repeat something she said. I was just so baffled by the encounter. Now the rooms are outdated and there's rusted in the tub.The only positive things I can say is that there's a in room microwave, fridge, and it's walking distance from the Overland Park Convention Center. All that said, the hotel wasn't that cheap, $580 for 5 nights and I rather pay more to be somewhere else because I'm not coming back here. Sucks. Updated: There's pet and human hair all over the bed. I completely give up, I'm leaving and staying somewhere else. I'm officially giving this place a one star. I was able to get a refund, so I'm happy to say that they were able to make it right for me somehow at the end. I appreciate that.

I originally had been staying at their sister hotel, which was fantastic, but after the Railroad bought them out, I was moved over to this hotel. Let's start off by saying that I am a travel healthcare worker so I am a repeat customer, having reservations set up for every weekend, months in advance. I am not usually a complainer, so it was not brought up when I was checked into a DIRTY room and had to go down and get a new room. I also didn't complain when the trash had not been pulled one weekend when I had gotten up to my room. I didn't complain when the toilets were barely flushing and the sinks were full of water. The staff has complained about my COOPERATE rate since day one. Which leads me to believe that is why they failed to have a room for me the past weekend (even tho I have had my reservation for MONTHS). They called me the morning that I was to arrive and informed me that they had overbooked and they would not have a room for me. I'm positive they decided to give me the boot because they could get more money from a different tenant. I am extremely unsatisfied with the lack of loyalty to a good, repeat customer, a health care worker at that, for a buck. You left me to struggle on a weekend that the majority of hotels were full due to events happening in Kansas City. Shame you Extended Stay America. I hope nobody else has to be put in this position, so here is your warning. If you make a reservation, don't expect for this hotel to uphold their obligations.

460 bucks for three nights and $80 for a pet. Definitely should have had nicer room for what I spent. I can get cheaper in Reno which is definitely more of a tourist trap than this place... disappointed. but... I can bring my dog inside, I guess that's a plus

I stayed at this property for six weeks in February and March 2023. The service, cleanliness and maintenance was superior! I had a dog with me. The staff, particularly Tiffany, Laurie, Britney and AGM Normita were top notch. Socrates took care of my room wonderfully. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Rooms wete outdated and in desperate need a refresher. The staff was super nice and location was conveniently located to just about everything.

Listen to the reviews. This facility smells purely like smoke and sewage. It advertises as smoke free stay, but our shower curtain reeked of weed and cigarettes. When I approached the manager all she said was "there's nothing I can do." I heard at least 3 people complaining to her about bed bugs and other issues. Just gross don't stay here.

If money is tight or budgeting doesn't allow for flexibility in terms of staying at a higher-end this might be okay. HOWEVER, is it really worth the lack of house keeping and cleanliness. This place isn't managed well at all. The bedding is extremely hard. There is no give to it so please bring your own comforters to at least make your nights of rest profitable. Staff was mostly okay in passing. Albeit, so were not that professional, but this overlooked because it wasn't that bad. I'll say the kitchenette is a great addition to any hotel, I used it when I was prepping for my bodybuilding shows, but will not do it again. They have spacious refrigerator that has a freezer. Good for storing large amounts of food. The room itself is dated. Liked we're talking "a love letter to the 90s" dated Carpet needs to be switched out. I often thought that maybe I was in a violent crime scene and the cleanup crew just gave up and moved on to their next room. Would I stay here again. No. You'd need to pay handsomely with added benefits to stay here again. Please just find an Airbnb or go on Expedia to look for better options.

I had an incredible experience at Extended Stay America in Kansas City, and the staff truly made it exceptional. From the moment I checked in until the day I left, they were consistently friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Their professionalism and willingness to assist with any request exceeded my expectations. It's the kind of service that makes you feel valued as a guest. Definitely a 5-star experience!

The staff is amazing the rooms are smoke-free and clean.... Also housekeeping doesn't bother you so if you'd like them to come to your room you may have to request it. Which makes it a great stay. Breakfast could be better but...Overall great

Q, the night auditor, is AMAZiNG. She spent 2 hours assisting me on my check-in. She not once lost her patience or her wonderful demeanor when I had so many annoying issues and requests. It is hard to find genuinely great service in the world today but you have found it with Q. I will return this hotel for that reason only because fantastic service is appreciated. Please give her the praise she deserves!!!!!!!!

They take pride in cleaning their rooms. It's the next next thing to home. The only reason I did not give all 5 stars is because everything is dated. The TVs are 2012. The kitchen appliances are very clean and they work properly but they could be upgraded. The cleanliness of the room definitely makes up for the dated items.

I was visiting someone here.. their room was clean bc they had to clean it themselves to their standards however, there is this weird smell all throughout the hotel. Unpleasantly weird! It's looks dingy & old all throughout. You'd think they'd at least renovate it. Or thoroughly disinfectant the place...

If you’re looking for a quiet place to stay, choose a different place. Other guests were very noisy and rooms are not very sound proof. The bed was also a little uncomfortable, but overall the experience was not terrible.

  • 2/5 Zoe B. 1 year ago on Google
Staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. The location wasn't too bad either. Only complaint was the cleanliness of the room. There was food under the sofa bed from previous guests. In the drawers there was left trash from previous guests. The chairs had stains all over them. Especially the desk chair... It was very surprising they would leave something so visibly littered with WHITE stains for guests to sit on. It was definitely worth the price, but we won't stay here again and won't recommend it to anyone else.

I am a traveler by profession and, I have been to a lot of different cities and states. I have stayed in many Extended Stay America hotels all over the nation. But, this particular location is the nicest and cleanest I have been to- to date. This is my personal experience. I hope you have the same!

Yes, one of the best Extended Stays I have been, front desk very nice, clean property and rooms. The rooms get serviced once a week and do a nice job cleaning fresh towels etc.. cost not bad Managers even better.

I chose this hotel because Google told me it was about $60/night and included a grab and go breakfast. I made a reservation over the phone at 11am the morning of, after almost getting a king size room I switched to a queen size for a few bucks cheaper for one night. We got there about 9:30pm and they had the reservation but no rooms available. The woman working gave us another reservation's room as they're first come first serve and they hadn't shown yet, (sorry to whoever that was). Positives: full kitchenette and large closet. Negatives: I'm positive it was a double bed instead of a queen, the TV stand was broken and it wobbled, the remote only worked if you squeezed the front and back together, not sure if the power button worked, no conditioner or hair dryer, there was an ironing board in the closet but no iron, the AC window unit made an awful broken plastic noise anytime it turned on/off which kept us up half the night (my husband checked it in the morning, turns out there was a pencil stuck it in), although it was clean, there was a Monster energy drink left in the fridge, AND FINALLY, the grab and go breakfast consisted of muffins, oatmeal, and granola bars (carbs carbs and more carbs). We ended up going out for breakfast.

My air conditioning dies during a heat wave with temperatures as high as 104, and it took 5 days to get it fixed. The phone representatives were amazing and helped me get reservations for myself and my two cats with the earliest check-in possible so I could get some sleep before my night shift as an IVU nurse. The desk staff also facilitated this by letting me know the earliest I could check in, making me welcome, and providing a door magnet alerting staff to the fact that cats were in the room, so no one would accidentally let them out. The room wasn't fancy but it was clean and the prices were better than anyplace else I could find. It made an incredibly stressful experience much better and allowed me to keep my pets and my patients safe

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! IT IS DISGUSTING!!! Smells horrible. Stains all over the floors. Kitchen is dirty. There's even a whole punched into the door. They charge you $100 "deposit" and don't tell you about it when making the reservation. They then said it's probably because I didn't book directly with them. I booked directly with the hotel over the phone😡 Lies, lies You have to "check out" kitchen supplies, they are not in the room. Trust me pay a little extra and go somewhere else.

Location was convenient. Staff felt indifferent. System was down when I tried to check in. Paid for room ahead of time yet Charged a 100 dollar deposit. Room had something on the couch cushions. I won't be choosing this chain with my family again.

Was okay for what it was. When first got there the lady behind counter said I would need to pay more for the security deposit, even tho nothing said about that on the site or thru Priceline. Since I didn't have that an said would have to take it off the amount of days there, she said she could lower the amount to anything I could give. (Very Shady). On site says there's a simple breakfast but wasn't, there was a coffee maker but had an broken sign on it with a very thick layer of dust on it so maybe been broken for a long time. There was no bell hop cart or any type of cart which made it extremely hard to carry in your stuff.

They don't tell you about the $100 deposit when you book with them upfront , or the $25 pet fee, only when you check in. The check in lady was very nice about it but really the management must suck here because the room was disgusting and smelled like it had never been cleaned before, so much dust and sticky brown stuff over the fridge and counter? The top bed sheets had stains all over. I just didn't use them and only used the bottom one. Would not recommend this place or book again, there's a hotel with only a $20 difference up the road I wish I would have booked instead. At least the TV had good channels and the free breakfast was much appreciated

  • 2/5 Shane'ya S. 2 years ago on Google
This was the worse experience by far, I found a used condom on the side of the bed. The beds are rock solid hard , with thin sheets. My wash up towels had pieces of hair in them. The tub had shaved pubic hair in it. They didn’t have a pool or ice machine . I will not be booking with them anymore.

The bedroom was fine, the bathroom clean. But billing system is obsolete. Extended Stay charge you the night plus the $100 for deposit. They took around 5 days to refund back those $100 to your card. Most hotels just do a temporary hold and when you check out they remove the hold 2 or 3 hours later. This particular hotel actually charge you the $100 and the night fees. That's a big billing inconvenient. Specially for people that are road traveling and have exact money to do a emergency road trip. People that are driving state to state needs those $100 in their card immediately after the room is verified. ¡Customer service!

I would give this hotel a zero but it will not let me. This hotel was horrible. It says it is smoke free but the obvious cigarette smoke smell in the hallways says differently. The pillows are as thin as a piece of paper and the mattress makes you want to sleep on the floor. The hotel staff was unhelpful. Hopefully you don’t need an extra pillow or blanket because there is not a single one in the entire hotel. There was a bug in my room and it was not cleaned well. I contemplated driving the 3 hours back home at 1am just so I didn’t have to sleep here. This is simply the worst night I’ve ever spent in a hotel.

  • 1/5 Grant S. 2 years ago on Google
We were there no longer than 30 minutes. When got into our room it stunk, it was hot, and the room was not what was pictured on the website. After inspecting the bed, we discovered it had been infested with bed bugs, and we even seen a bed bug on the sheets. They claimed that they were not bed bugs, but instead “ black dots” . I’ve never felt so disgusted in my life. Terrible hotel. I would not recommend.

When we checked in, I was informed of a $100 pet deposit besides the already high rate we were being charged. Our room was in the basement of the building and was a long distance away. It felt like a dungeon! Dark and dirty. There was only one luggage cart and it was being used. The bathtub was full of rust around the drain lever. There was no way I would use it. Horrible! Went right back to the front desk and said I wanted my money back. They did give me a refund. DO NOT STAY HERE!
