The highlight of this restaurant is the rooftop patio! It has a pretty nice view a park with a cool breeze. The patio feels a little confined, but the tables are spaced out, and seating is limited. Otherwise, it is an excellent place to enjoy the weather and relax with a cold drink. The customer service experience was great, along with the food. My server was very conversational and attentive. I recommend the mushrooms; they are pretty filling and surprisingly fresh! Not to belittle the customer service experience or the food, but it's all about the patio!

Food has NO seasoning, this is the second time I have had this experience. I wanna like the place since it’s a mile from my house, but will never buy food here again. Waitress even tried the food and agreed, said there have been a lot of complaints lately and no changes. Very nice patio though.

Great place to watch the Chiefs-lots of screens. Our server was friendly and very good. The food was pub fare and excellent.

Food was good. Atmosphere welcoming. Family friendly environment for the most part. Service was decent considering they're usually busy. Be warned... not all prices on the menu are correct. Some items have gone up $5-$6. Waitress didn't inform us. We didn't find that out until reviewing the check. Asked about it and were told oh yeah it went up. After talking with the manager they "sort of" fixed the check. They ran our original check twice. Which doesn't make sense. Also refunded that check twice. (Still waiting for that to post) then ran the corrected check. Which is frustrating. Yes the other 2 original amounts were refunded... but until they process my account still shows those amounts pending. Turning a $90 bill into a $300 hold on my account.

Great place and food. The drink menu is also good. Been to this place around 10PM which was pretty late and they told us the kitchen will be closing soon. We ordered Mac & Cheese, buffalo wings, onion strings with Moscow mule and Cherry Limeade. But, the food was still served hot and cooked well. Moscow mule turned out to be my favorite.

I got to attend a private Super Bowl party, here. And it was awesome! The food was awesome! The service was great. And it was just a comfortable experience!

I reserved a room to host a large group at this location and this Coach's team did an AMAZING job!! The staff are extremely welcoming and accommodating, fast and accurate drink service, and the kitchen staff turned out some delicious food on on the fly so everyone ALWAYS had hot food on their plates. Will DEFINITELY be coming back. HIGHLY recommend for all occasions.

It was a good space. The staff were friendly and the food was okay. Do beware that they do not take Discover if that is how you plan to pay.

Hands down the best sports bar food in KC. Coach’s has a wide variety of options, including all the bar food classics you would expect. The Buffalo chicken dip is outstanding and the Chicken Pecan salad is a family favorite. The sweet potato fries are a must! Coach’s has catered multiple parties for our family and the food and service was outstanding. Rooftop patio is the best setting for an outdoor happy hour in OP - multiple fire pits, full bar, TVs everywhere, and numerous tables. Run by a great family with great service!!! Highly recommend.

Went here for the first time and there’s not a negative thing to be said. Upon arrival, we were quickly allowed to sit wherever we wanted on the rooftop patio. A server came over within 30 seconds for our drink order. Our server was patient with giving us time to decide on food. Drinks were made well, water was never empty, the food was good, and the ambience was extremely relaxing :) 10/10 would recommend.

I like Coaches so don’t get me wrong. This is mainly about the food quality the day I was there. I had the Baja shrimp tacos and I was expecting shrimp with a light crunch coating. What I got was a thick wet breading that was mostly inedible. I’ll go back but I’ll get a burger next time.

This is always one of my favorite spots (mostly for the food and service), but let me tell you about Devin. Went in for rooftop drinks with some girls and Devin. Was. Awesome. He was super attentive, stayed on top of our drinks, even took a couple great pics for us. We asked if the kitchen was still open but it had just closed--but Devin knew we needed a late-night snack. He came through with some chips and salsa...and a banana. That banana tasted strangely great with our summer beers (which he made very delicious and a little strong!). He seriously made our night! The other servers on the rooftop were great as well.

The staff were all very nice! Food was ok. Not bad, but not great. Hopefully that makes sense. Would probably be a really fun place on a Saturday night for drinks & snacks.

Wanted to watch the Chiefs playoff game and Coach's had a table available. Glad we stopped by because the food was great and the service was even better for the place being packed. Great football themed drinks as well. If you are wanting to watch a game with a group of others fans, Coach's is a place you need to stop by.

One of my favorite places to watch games and hang out. Bar and wait staff are very friendly and good people. Their service and quality are consistent and good. I think every item I've gotten there I've liked!

Had an after class impromptu event there. We were a large party and staff was attentive, drinks were a little slow, food service was speedy and food was delicious. It was cold where we sat but not sure there was much that could've been done about it. Overall great place with great staff!

Went around 5 and found a table on the roof patio. Food was delicious. Enjoyed a variety of appetizers with friends. Service was exceptional. My only complaint is they don’t do happy hour on the roof patio, but I can understand why.

I use to go to coach on wornell, it’s been awhile and since I was in the neighborhood, looked on line and today special was fish or catfish, I came in opening at the bar! It’s after 1 pm so lunch crowd was gone! Always busy! Regular came in! Bar staff was friendly and I may have to stop in more often! This place is easy to get in! It’s right across from Hy-vee gas station and quick trip

Visiting from out of town and met a group of friends on the rooftop. Such a fun atmosphere! Lots of space, beautiful firepit seating areas, delicious appetizers and the bar tender was extremely fast/kind. We'll be back! Thank you!

Great spot close to baseball and soccer fields for a quick bite between games. Chicken Gizzards were a pleasant surprise.

A casual neighborhood bar that delivers a consistent experience. A beautiful rooftop patio has a grownup party vibe, whereas the main level is more like a sports bar or a family bar & grill. The menu is huge and has something for everyone; the scratch kitchen can accommodate most special requests and food typically comes out pretty quickly. Full bar for all your drink needs and a very respectable beer selection, including seasonal taps. A staple of southern Johnson County bar scene

Our service was good. She regularly checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. She was also super understanding when we took longer than expected to put our order in. (My boyfriend likes to tell long widened stories). The also had a good atmosphere with good drink selections. The food was okay at best. What immediately turned me off was when our fried mushrooms came out. The breading was fried perfectly but the inside was uncooked mushroom. I'm thankful it was just mushrooms and not chicken for example but its still not pleasant to have anything served to you undercooked. I had a grilled chicken sandwich which was overcooked. I honestly prefer that so as not to worry about a food borne illness. It was seasoned well though and I still enjoyed it again due to not having to worry about food borne illness. This was my second time at Strouds and I would recommend going here for drinks but tread lightly in the food options.

Got the Vegan Burger and it was delicious! Service was great. Only thing that could’ve been better was that my Rum and Pepsi wasn’t very strong… especially being a tall double.

The food is delicious and the service was great. Very friendly staff. The food was a little pricey but it didn't disappoint. The bruschetta and sweet potato fries are delicious!

We had Royal Balls and they are amazing. Place was busy but got seated right away. Lots of TV screens, like... a bunch. Anna loved the ranch, (it's the good ranch for those who know)

We had gizzards, clam chowder, catfish and chips (literal homemade chips…not fries). We loved everything. The servers were attentive without being overbearing for the most part. Toward the end of the meal, three different workers tried to take away one of our dishes that we were still working on. It didn’t feel like they were just trying to turn the table, rather genuinely thought we might be finished. The drinks were generous and we had a Long Island tea that they enhanced with some peach schnapps. I say “yes” to that!!! It was a nice early evening treat, and although it was pretty busy, the set up made us feel that we had our own space for private conversation without being rushed.

Awesome location food, drinks, service, and patio. This place a a great Overland Park staple with tons of great food choices and drinks. With a beautiful upstairs outdoor patio with fire pits, umbrellas, and plant decor it's a beautiful place to watch the sunset and have drinks. Lots of tv's to watch any sports games both downstairs and upstairs. Highly recommend coming here for group events or even just a couple friends.

We spent a lovely evening on the rooftop. We were a group of 10 but the waitress handled us like a pro! Our food came out at the same time and we all enjoyed our meals. I particularly liked the club sandwich but honestly the fries were sub-par.

The food was pretty good. My Wife's 88 year old Aunt loved the shrimp tacos, my cream cheese burger was good and my Wife's chicken gizzards and salad was pretty good. Service was good but the entire booth and table were pretty dirty and that took away from the experience.

The drinks were strong and the food was great. The Royal Balls are packed with flavor. I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos. They are huge, so be reluctant to order a side. But those shrimp tacos were phenomenal! Will be returning soon cause I want to try so many more menu items!

Generous portions, great ambiance out on the upper deck area. Busy for a Wednesday but the food came out nice and hot, and the servers did a pretty good job taking care of people. Had wanted to try it for years and it did not disappoint

First, our service was great. There was a funeral party at the front when we were there and we were seated towards the back, which was fine. The manager came up and explained what was going on which was unnecessary but very nice. We shared the potato skins to start, which were perfectly sized and had great toppings. I had the buffalo chicken wrap, which had great buffalo spice, but it was quite wet and made a mess so that it was difficult to eat without a fork and knife. My friend had the chicken pot pie, which she said was great (and was recommended by the server). She said the crust was moist but crunchy and the filling was equally tasty. We did have an ant on our table (I included a video), which I’m not sure where it came from, and there was only one that I saw, but I still thought it was a bit of a surprise to see.

Overall the good & service was good. It's a very busy place on a Saturday, so it may be better other time. Sports bar atmosphere with plenty of TV's. The fish tacos, club sandwich, fried chicken gizzards, all were very good. Pulled pork sandwich was dry & had some melted cheese on it, not so great. Blue Burger was smothered in some blue cheese spread, too much as it was oozing out all over. Otherwise the burger was very good. Would like to try again another day. The rooftop area looks fun I the photos.

Great Food and Service. My family ate here on Veteran's Day we asked if they offered Military discount. The Manager came to our table and personally thanked my son and I for our service and comped our meals. We just expected the 10% but what a great gesture.Thank you for supporting the military.

It’s a good place to grab a garden salad at a decent price - that’s especially important as a vegetarian because most places in town have non-vegetarian friendly salads and you ask them to take the meat off but they don’t reduce the price. The ranch dressing is super tasty. We ate on the patio last time and it was beautiful, this time we ate inside and it was fine, too. This place always has a steady flow of folks before and after dinner. Our teenagers like the chicken strips and fries, the spouse digs the chicken pot pie. Lovely service even though it sure looks like they could use more servers.

Katie is really the best server ever! She was friendly, had the most amazing personality and got us in and out when we were in a rush! The atmosphere was pretty cool. Still need to check out the rooftop patio. The food scrumptious and the drinks were delicious. We look forward to coming back again soon. Hopefully this time we can check out the rooftop patio.

We hosted a large group event at Coach's last week and everything went wonderfully! Spencer and team are fantastic to work with. The service was excellent and food was great! Highly recommend.
