I heard mixed reviews about this restaurant but I enjoyed it for the most part. I will say that the wings are large but I’ve had bigger. I easily could have handled six wings. Fries as a side was amazing,that was actually better than the wings. Don’t get me wrong,the wings aren’t bad but not as tasty as others described. Great prices though with good customer service!

I didn’t have the most pleasant experience with the bartender when I sat down in the restaurant for the first time. But that aside .. I recommend the food ! You can always order to go. Pictured is their single BLT (comes with red onions and the cheese is really good). Also sweet potato fries 😋 I paired that with their Cherry Limeade cocktail (delicious!)✨

Another Kansas City icon, the Peanut has been feeding hungry Kansas citizens for over 80 years! I haven't been here in several years and I'm happy to see that they are still doing everything right. This location is convenient and easy to find. The service and food are excellent and I also enjoyed the atmosphere at this overland park location. The best BLT anywhere hands down . If you've not tried the BLT you are missing out on a great KC tradition !

Best Wings Ever!!! We stopped by while in town for a family get away and had to try their world famous wings! Wings are a bar food my husband and I LOVE. These were the BEST WE HAVE EVER HAD! They could out whole, snap them apart and listen to how crispy they get the crust before covering in delicious homemade secret wing sauce! The wings were still amazingly moist after such a good crispy outside. The fried were crispy and delicious as well. We also tried the fried pickles and mozzarella sticks and daughter had mac and cheese. Not bad, however wings and fries are a must! We will definitely drive back!

What a fun place to be and eat! Hub and i stopped in to have fried pickles, Caesar salad, combo nachos, onion rings, and the peanut burger; with a Corona, Miss J cocktail, and a margarita. And we were NOT disappointed! Not only was it affordable (all of that food and those drinks only totaled $60! 😍) but the staff were so friendly and welcoming, always available, and had no issue answering our many questions. I was only hoping for some okay tasting late night nachos. I got so, so much more. Thank you, The Peanut! ❤️

We had 16 people (9kids) in our party at 7pm on a Saturday and they were able to find a way to seat us and 1 server handled everything. We had a good experience and the food came out and was all very good.

You may think of this place as a "dive bar ".. but you'd be wrong. Though it's located in a quaint and quite spot in old Town OP, the Peanut is a great place to have a drink and some delicious food.. I've been a few times and always have exceptional service!! Great happy hours, Great food, Great service!!!

First time checking this place out. Parking was a challenge but ended up with a spot right out front. Nice atmosphere. Plenty of tvs for watching sports if you're into that. Our server was great. Attentive and friendly. Food was great. My husband is a cuban sandwich guy, so he likes to try it if it's on the menu. He said it was very good, ranking high on his list. I got the bbq brisket sandwich. A tad on the dry side but tender and a nice amount of sauce on top, but not swimming in it. The fries were hot and crisp. We enjoyed it. No complaints!

We were in from out of town and asked our server from another restaurant for a good dive bar. He highly recommended The Peanut. His definition of what a dive bar is must be different than ours. Although not a dive bar it was a nice sports bar with some unique decor. I tried a Rock Chosmo from their signature drinks and it was tasty! I'm not big on sweet drinks, and would describe this as semi-sweet. Had we not just had dinner I may have not been too full to have another. The service was very hospitable from all employees I talked to. Very kind, welcoming, and attentive. The area this was located in looked neat too. I'd come back to the area to browse and it'd be a bar I'd come back to and try more drinks and food.

Don't be deceived by the size of the storefront! This place is very spacious and yet the perfect amount of cozy for a fantastic sports bar. The wings are something you should try if you've never had them, but the menu is all-around goodness. Great KC bar (and the whole chain is awesome).

God Tier Wings. Best in KC and probably the best I've ever had. Great in every way: They come out dangerously hot and crispy Huge jumbo wings Excellent sauce Hard not to go every time I'm nearby.

Good wings. Went on a Thursday when it was $4 margarita night. That was good. Had the BBQ brisket nachos; they were great. Good place. Lots of TVs to watch games

Roadhouse Burger was good. Dip was a large portion and tasted great. Spinach artichoke dip. Even had naan bread AND chips.

We ordered the Cajun sandwich and Tiger wings, and both were really good. The patio area is also small but very nice as it's shaded from the sun. This place is always a good time and the people there are friendly.

Nice emplacement to grab a mid lunch or a snack appetizer ❤️ Sports fans mount up! Lots of TVs and room to watch all the games.

We had fun with friends here. Food was great. Macaroni and cheese was fantastic! Only one wait staff was working for one side of the restaurant and was understandably too busy to be very attentive to drink refills and closing out the tab. She was very accommodating when we asked to move tables together. It was very loud. If you’re looking for boisterous fun and good food, give this place a try!

Our family of 5 came up to the 'big city' from Cole Camp MO. My 22 yr old son's choice was to try The Peanut. Wow! It was fantastic. 😊 Three had cheese burgers, one had a portabella mushroom sandwich and I had a taco salad. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

I’ve been to various Peanut locations many times but this one continues to be the best. The atmosphere is inviting in the older building and exposed brick. The waiters and bartenders are always great and can answer any questions you have. However, the food is always on point. I rotate between the grilled chicken sandwich, chicken tender basket, and carnitas nachos. My fiancé will get the three wings and fries with blue cheese, the peanut burger, or the Cuban. Each of these options are delicious! I also never pass up a side of fries or onion rings with some Buffalo sauce and blue cheese. It is normally hard to decide but we’re never disappointed. Please check out this location!

I told some old coworkers who flew in from out of town here. I told them, you can not leave state without having their wings and blue cheese. After they said, "You said you would take us to the best wings place in town, and you sure did!"

Prompt and attentive service coupled with deliciously refreshing JOCO juice and cherry limeade made for a delightful start. The appetizer of pretzel and cheese was a tasty treat, and the beef nachos and California chicken sandwich were both scrumptious and satisfying. With speedy food delivery and an all-around enjoyable experience, this spot definitely exceeded expectations.

It was pretty late at night, I'd say around 930 PM, and the staff was still so kind and quick. It was quiet as it was a Monday night but a quiet bar is a good bar in my humble opinion. I've been during other times and they get crazy packed, especially for Chiefs games. Pretty great KC bar overall!

How have never been to this great pub in downtown OP! Impressive menu with several house specials. The buffalo wings are MASSIVE pieces of chicken and more than a meal! The taco salad and turkey Reuben were also hits. The desserts lack panache but the service and overall menu make up for it.

Wings were great. Highly reccomend by a friend. Kind of surprised the chili cheese fries had jalapeños in it. But would reccomend

Great fried food and of course their wings are wonderful. I recommend ordering the stuffed mushrooms they are big, the gouda is delicious, and horseradish sauce is great.

My husband had the 3 wings and fries, and I had the BLT with fries. We had been forewarned that the portions were large, but that didn't prepare us for the wings being three WHOLE wings lots of bacon on the BLT. All were tasty, and we will be back to try something different on the menu. Lots of wonderful-sounding options!

Amazing service, and amazing food and drinks. I just started working in the area and walked over. Was seated right away and had food and drinks almost immediately. I highly recommend the Brisket Nachos.

Awesome! I am personal not a fan of wings however, these were highly recommended so I tried them. They were definitely better than I have had! Very big and a unique but satisfying flavor!!! Check it out for sure.

First time visit was a very busy night. Atmosphere was definitely engaging, place was full. I had the Reuben sandwich and it was one of the best I have had. Good place to go.

Ordered a half dozen wings and a side of sweet potato fries. Had a 20 minute drive back to hotel and the wings were still finger burning hot. Ordering to go was a breeze and it was great she validated the location for me so I knew I was heading and ordering from the right location. Should have went with their 3 wings and fries because that definitely would have been more than enough. Make a stop and try out their delicious wings.

Got the bird bomb and it was pretty good. Ordered a side of fries with it which is extra. Didn’t get the chips and pickles it’s supposed to come with unfortunately. Also ordered a veggie burger. It was alright, kinda bland but understandable given the restaurants focus. Would be awesome if they added on impossible patty instead.

Very LOUD!! Food was pub style. Not bad. Hubby said chili was really spicy. My sweet potato fries were good and they have good ranch!! Won't go back, but not a bad place. Just not for us.

The food is good and the wait staff is always friendly. This is my go to place whether I'm sad or angry. The wings and fries are always a good bang for your buck and the atmosphere is a little much on a busy night but whenever it's calmer isn't too much of an issue.

Bartender was a true delight. I was with a friend who is dying of Stage Cancer. And even though the Bartender was so kind food was wonderful . Was just a great time.

Food is consistently good! We enjoy the atmosphere. They typically have a good beer selection

The Capri sun "shot" is great. Wings are juicy.
