If you have never been to this place, it is a must. The experience of fondue was well worth it. The variety of food and dipping sauces are magnificent. The atmosphere was great, and our server was excellent. He was very attentive.

I love this place. My fiance took me for my first time. I never had fondue before and honestly it was a great experience and I suggest it for anyone, but this restaurant was awesome. I love how they have the small booths for couples where you can close the curtains and sit in the booth and not be disturbed or disrupted by anyone and just really enjoy each other and enjoy the food and the experience. It was awesome.

Great service n ambience. Great presentation. Had to wait a while for food that's literally raw. Portions r small. Pricey for what it is. Taste is average at best. Good place to try something different but not a regular eatery

What a amazing experience. First timers here and had no idea what to do. Our server was amazing with directions and recommendations. I was really skeptical on boiling the meat but everything had such flavor it was amazing. One thing I wasn't a fan of was boiling the steak. I'd recommend getting the grill top for that. Another thing about me is I never order dessert when I go out, this place has changed my entire thought process on that. It was AMAZING!!! Even if you don't eat there it should be a requirement to pop in for their dessert!!! Just a heads up it is a little bit more on the pricey side of date nights but worth every penny for the food and experience.

This was my first time eating at a fondue restaurant. It was so much fun. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. The half-life of the cheese was perfectly suited to how quickly we consumed it. There was a wide variety of meat choices to cook in a selection of oils. We definitely will be back to try other options.

This place was such a fun treat! We loved every second of our experience here. We’re big foodies (if you can’t tell by the name), and we’ve been wanting to give this place a shot. Ask for DERON the waiter next time you visit - he was so attentive, gave us great suggestions, and went above & beyond. First Off: - Wear something a little warmer. This place is underground & cool vibes. They do have the A/C a little lower than other restaurants, so bring a light coat. - Order dessert - just do it. Trust me. All of the desserts if you can lol - Use your phone for a cooking timer! Ours worked great - The salads are amazing - Get the Blueberry Margarita, you will love it. Enjoy this place as much as we did!!

Got the 4 course meal and loved it!! I can't wait to go back just for the chocolate. Our server was awesome and helped us choose from all the options. We celebrated my birthday and he even brought out champagne 🍾. Will be back for sure!!

My boyfriend and I had never been here before, but our waitress, Rory, was very helpful! She explained the process well and had great recommendations and she was an absolutely fantastic server! We had our own little room so I was worried we’d be out of sight, out of mind, but she proved me wrong. She was very attentive and checked in frequently. Plus, she brought out a beatific platter for us with our dessert! Our food was delicious, although I will say I’d prefer to cook the steak in a cast iron next time rather than to boil it. The dessert should not be skipped!

Expensive for the full experience, but you get what you pay for. The service was excellent and food was super good. It's definitely a special occasion place and they do it well. They have little packages to enhance your experience. Plan to spend 150 for 2 for a full meal, regular beverages, tip, and romance package. Not too bad considering location and what you get. Plan to spend about 2 hours for a full experience. It's not a rush type of place. We were never waiting for food and drink refills. Staff were polite, knowledgeable, and attentive. I suggest reservations and don't eat anything all day. Very fun time! Also, a massive bonus was that they didn't do the cheesy singing happy birthday thing. It was such a nice touch as we both hate that kind of stuff.

Very good food, very fun experience. My wife and I went for our 17th wedding anniversary. It was awesome! It's a little pricey but worth it.

It was great! A unique experience. I'd heard of 'Hot Pot' in Asia and wanted to try it. This was the closest we had in the city.

Love love love it here. We have never had a bad time when at the melting pot. It isn’t just dining. It’s an experience and opportunity to slow down and connect with those you choose to share a meal with. Lovely staff who are patient and willing to assist new customers who need help with the menu. The food is always great, it’s an amazing family dinner or anniversary spot for something slow and delicious while providing a nice environment. Over our many visits there is not much we have not yet tried. Nothing has disappointed including the fun drink menu ! We love the ying yang dessert pot for the kids while my wife and I get the smores. Main courses the kids gravitate toward grilling their food where my wife and I like the more savory choices. Lovely all around. OH and their salad with the honey mustard dressing is an absolute hit !

We splurged tonight on the Complete Experience for Two. Ahi tuna in the green goddess dip, s'mores dessert fondue, and the pretzel bread with gruyere were our faves. It is pricey once you get into cocktails, tax, and tip (for us - almost $250), but you get what you pay for in excellent quality treats. I was surprised by the level of each booth's privacy, with walls nearly to the ceiling and a curtain the server can shut when they leave your table. Speaking of which... Tanya was SO AMAZING!! She is kind, funny, knowledgeable, and classy and really helped us enjoy our time there. There was even a manager who came over to explain some questions we had before we were served. Great place, attentive staff, go on down to the Plaza for a nice evening. Just make sure your stomach is totally empty when you go or you'll regret not being able to try it ALL...

The food was delicious, the experience was so fun, the service was fantastic, and the environment was very relaxing. We had Theresa as our server and she was fabulous! Very attentive and had great recommendations. Wonderful evening celebrating my birthday!!

We enjoyed it. Had the white wine swiss cheese to start - wish we had picked the other white cheese. We picked the red wine broth for our dinner pot, which was good. I got meat and sea. Husband had the one with duck - he loooves duck. We figured out how to do the timer from the website on our phones. Definitely do not recommend only putting 1 skewer in at a time or you'll be there even longer. We were there probably an hour and 45 minutes. Do at least two skewers at a time each in the dinner pot. My personal favorite part was chocolate caramel fondue with pecans at the end. I gobbled that all up! I'm glad we did the whole experience for our first time. We would come back for cheese and/or chocolate pots.

Perfect place for an anniversary! It was my husbands and I’s 1 year anniversary and the melting pot made it the best dinner ever!! All of the staff were super nice and the food was some of the best we ever had. We were sat in a private two person booth with a curtain for privacy and it was the best time ever. They even decorated a cute plate for our dessert, it was one of our biggest highlights of the night! Thank you again to the wonderful staff tonight and if your thinking about coming here for your anniversary or any other special day this is the #1 place in Kansas City would recommend!!

Jared was our server tonight and he was amazing! Overall made the experience that much better. He was very attentive to our table and made sure all of our needs were met. It was our first time at the melting pot and I would definitely recommend to everyone

Do not let the price detour you from going and experiencing The Melting Pot. They did not disappoint. We had the meal for 2 and it was worth every dime, we were there for about 2 hours so when reserving a time to eat keep that in mind. BUT that whole 2 hours we were eating. They are super fast with bringing out the first course and they are very patient while you get through your courses. Also if it’s your first time they are very friendly and will walk you through the process which is easy, and fun! And if your food isn’t done right the only complaint you have to do is to yourself! Since you are cooking everything you eat besides the cheese and chocolate portion. All and all I am blown away from my visit. It was everything I was expecting and more. Will be coming back in the future and recommending it to others! Also went for my boyfriends birthday and our waitress surprised him with a cute plate! Thank you Melting pot for a safe and friendly environment for my boyfriend and I to spend his special day! :)

I'm one lucky grandma and got to enjoy a GNO with my two beautiful granddaughters yesterday. We ended our day at The Melting Pot and had the absolute funnest meal we'd had in awhile! Erika, our server, was so sweet and attentive to us. She took the time to explain the cooking methods to us and to tell us about the sauce selection and what they each paired best with. Thank you, Erika, for being so awesome! And the food was amazing with the Steak Lovers choice being my granddaughter's favorite! Highly recommend and ask for Erika when you go in. 😊

This was our first visit (hopefully, there will be many more to come! ) it was a different experience. You prepare your own dinner at the table. The food is amazing! Especially the dessert! The waitress was wonderful and even made our night a memorable one! Don't mind the photo! We already started eating before I thought to take a photo!

We had four people in our party and we sat at a one cook top table. It would have been nice to have two cook tops, but we didn't know. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. I figured that pretty much every meat in the entree required about 2 minutes to cook with the broth at a rolling boil. A cook time card for every guest would have been nice. Also some type of card to guide us to the correct meat and sauce would have been nice. Good first experience and would come back. I recommend The Complete Experience for Two with Wisconsin cheese (pretzel bread was my favorite to dip), Pacific Rim (shrimp and teriyaki streak were my favorites) coq au vin style, the house salad (ranch), and the original (has peanut butter) and flaming turtle dessert. Treated me very well for my birthday.

We went on Veterans Day for a date night out of town. I believe our waitress' name was Sadie, she was fantastic and very interactive when explaining how it all works and talking about the menu options, definitely fantastic at her job. We went with The Complete Experience for Two and it was awesome. The Wisconsin Cheddar fondue was amazing with the options for dipping. The Melting Pot House salad was very good and my wife enjoyed the Bacon Parm Salad. For our entrees I went with The Classic and my wife went with the Pacific Rim, all of the meat options were amazing with Mojo broth and to end we went with the Flaming Turtle chocolate fondue and that was just amazing with the fruit. The whole ambiance in the restaurant was amazing for a date night and we thoroughly enjoyed this new experience. We will definitely return again in the future.

I LOVE working here!! If you have a birthday, anniversary, or other celebration, come to the melting pot and let us make your night fun and memorable. This fondue experience is very different from other restaurants and it’s something you have to try at least once in your life! P.S make sure to ask for a cool celebratory dessert plate like the ones pictured when you visit!!!

The experience was exciting and fun. The food I wish came to you cooked than you having to cook your own food. My favorite was the dessert with the flaming turtle chocolate. Our server Jacob was amazing! I wouldn't go back again but if you are all for the experience it's the place to go. I perfer my food cooked and served to me.

Last night was our first time going. Lindsey was wonderful at explaining everything. My husband surprised me with the date night package. The table had a Rose petal heart. The whole experience was just so much fun. You for sure get every dollars worth. We had the loaded cheese for our 1st course Caesar salad and we choose the Flaming Turtles chocolate for our last course. The melting pot mule my husband got for a drink was delicious as well. We picked the oil way of cooking. We are planning another dinner soon.

We went to The Melting Pot for Date Night tonight and we had the best experience we have had at a restaurant! Not only was the food so delicious, our server, Theresa, was amazing! When we go back, we will ask for her section! We had the Big Night Out Dinner for 2 and we ate like Royalty! Worth every penny and every minute!

Great place to take a significant other. The 4 course meal for 99 dollars is a good value for the food to price ratio. I enjoyed the experience as well as the food. It ended up being about 156 dollars after tax, but I think it's worth it as an every once in a while thing just for the experience of it.

So much fun! What a unique dining experience. Everything was great, from the service to the food! The ultimate romance package was a nice surprise too. We will definitely be returning!
