This place is amazing. With a variety of shows coming through there's always something for everyone. The staff is always friendly, even when you've had a few too many drinks. In addition to it being a 3am bar, this place is the bee's knees. Hop on their website and find a show! Even if it's a group you don't know, the Riot Room is always welcoming to everyone.

This place rocks!! In your face intimate shows!! If you like venues without "barriers" bla bla bla this is your place. Stage is 16" or so at best and that leaves the band in your face!! Staff is super cool and drinks are reasonable. I've always had a great time at the riot room.

Great, intimate venue. Holds 250, but there were only about 100 in the concert and that was perfect. The wide, affordable selection of beers made it seem as much a great taproom as a concert stage. Really got to be close to the bands without feeling crowded.

I love this venue, the bands that come through are amazing. The bar is great, rotating taps, over 20. Being able to see music in such an intimate setting is fantastic, and there is an outdoor area that frequently (prepandemic) got a lot of love. Bathrooms are epically awful, but still function. What more could a girl want?

First time at this venue and they did not disappoint. Attended the Delain concert and had a blast. The place is cozy and perfect if you like your concerts to be intimate. The bar is a circle which made ordering drinks easy and the bar tenders were spectacular.

Great locations for a wide arrange of music. The venue is very small so be sure to get here early for a good viewing spot. It also gets very close so bring thin layers. If you don't make it in time they have a couple of televisions on the back that can let you see the show with out the crowd.

I've been here for two separate shows. Both times there have been significant sound issues for multiple bands. The bathrooms are always out of paper towels and for the men, there's just a trough full of ice and no door. The bartenders and entrance/exit security staff for the outdoor and indoor stage were all very kind and I appreciated that they followed the rules for ID age verification, turning away those who preferred to make a stink despite it saying otherwise on their ticket. The first show there were a lot of moshers and people being run into in the back who were run into. As a result, drinks were spilled and glass ended up shattered several times. I didn't get the impression that this was any concern for security, but I felt it was getting out of hands several times. We had to move away because of the overly violent and watched from the bar area. At the second show there were absolutely no moshers and people seemed to respect the music. After the first two band's sound issues, the final band seemed to have their mix figured out and the show went off fantastically from start to finish. Unfortunately, the signing session was cut short as the venue had to rush the band out the door before Westport's curfew rule. From what I understood, The Riot Room is not allowed to permit exiting out to or entering from the sidewalks on Broadway unless they accept a 1000$ fine as it is a security issue for Westport.

This a great intimate venue where you can catch amazing shows, with pretty big artists, in a smaller setting. You cannot see if you're not 5'9", at the very front of the venue, or happen to catch one of the covetted side stage spots. Meeting artists is super easy and common here. Getting the bartender's attention is next to impossible...but sometimes you get lucky and show up on a two bartender night. The bathrooms will make you wish you could just absorb the contents of your bladder instead of having to use the facilities. It's a good balance of putting up with...and experiencing the riot room. In the end, the musical experience is always worth it. Here's a photo of my intimate experience with Honus Honus from Man Man at the riot room.

Great place. Small crowd where you can get closer to the stage and enjoy the music. Very unlike the large event places which have lots of security and you have to be far away from the stage depending on what you have paid, etc. there’s just one price and you literally get your beverages right where you are enjoying the music.
