After entering it took a while to be seated even though no one was in line or ahead of us. There is a large sign that says “Please wait to be seated” so we did. The food was fantastic, however, the service was not. I had to routinely get up from our table to ask for help or stop waiters passing by for help because the waitress assigned to our table was so inattentive. Had the service not been so terrible it would have been an easy 5 stars to give. As I was leaving, three hostesses watched as I struggled to hold the entry door to the restaurant open with my body while trying to push a baby carriage through with my baby inside. They didn’t move from their podium to hold the door open for the baby and I to exit safely nor did they offer a verbal “do you need help?” Interestingly, the waitress assigned to our table that gave such terrible service initially, did adjust her service toward the end of our patronage. A different waiter even came to our table later and said he would be taking over for our waitress, but he too was inattentive. I ended up tipping the initial waitress $20 in hopes that the next time she has a Black female customer she will offer excellent service from the very beginning and perhaps spread the word to the rest of her team to do the same.

We keep trying Austin's and are usually disappointed - tonight was no exception! The difference is I am posting a review. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Sandwich - which is a very tiny chicken breast with a couple slices of bacon and a bit of swiss-- no flavor! I also paid $2 EXTRA for a loaded baked potato as my side-- came barely done with NO BUTTER OR ANYTHING ELSE! Strike three!!

This was our first visit to Austin's. This was an A+ experience! The food was really good! We ordered the Cowboy Burger and Cheese steak sandwich. The parmesan fries are delicious! The restaurant was really clean with great service. Our server was so friendly and all of the staff was actually working and not standing around on their phones! Mind-blowing, I know! Plus, the restaurant manager visited our table! Wow, I honestly can't remember the last time that happened. The hostess even held the door for us when we exited. It's the little things that make a dining experience over the top!!

Visited Austin's many times. Had the 'Santa fe Chicken' this round which was served with rice & broccoli. Everything was hot and tasted great. Special thanks to Jordan for her attentative service and customer focus.

The food was good they have half-price hamburgers every Monday if you purchase a drink. The wait staff was extremely Pleasant and the restaurant overall was clean and orderly I will definitely go back.

Extremely cozy atmosphere. They had just the right amount of TVs for the various sports. Large variety menu complete with comfort food items and a ton of options for sides. It wasn't loud in here at all. Service was excellent!

This cozy bar was busy for a Tuesday. The seating at the bar was limited but comfortable. I can say less of the clientele who seemed cold to new comers. My meal was the country fried steak and a good portion for the money. It was delicous and perfectly cooked. My sides of corn and mashed potatoes where a little under seasoned. They also forgot to bring my roll with the meal. Overall a pleasent experience with a very friendly staff, but if you are not a long time custmer dont sit at the bar because it is cold and unwelcomeing even if the staff are super nice.

Outstanding food service & atmosphere. Top of the line for a bar & grill. Slightly high cost for a Ruben. But still worth the stop fir lunch.

Too cold. All fans on high in big room with just 6 seated tables. Food got cold, I was cold , too cold to drink. Mentioned to waitress, well big party was here earlier... No sign of them now.

Brought in a group of 20 people after a concert. Porsche served us flawlessly. She easily managed the multiple checks, kept our drinks full, and got all the orders correct! She was friendly and fun we really appreciated her.

One of the biggest (and best) Pretzel appetizers [check out the picture]. Plus, a tasty Caesar Salad and Cheese steak Sandwich. So yummy!

We were a very large party about 20 people. They accommodated is quickly close together. The good was pretty good! Staff was nice. It's a sports bar restaurant, and could get a tag loud.

We went in on a Sunday evening and got sat down in 10 minutes. The server was very attentive to our table and made sure our drinks were full or if we needed anything else. We had chicken wings, potato soup,and a chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious! Definitely will be back again soon.

Great service and happy hour options. If you are having a larger party it's best to get a reservation, the staff was great at accommodating our group!!

Austins Olathe (and the one in Gardner) is a place we go once a week after playing soccer with friends for years now. Let's start with what I do NOT like: smoking is allowed in the covered outdoor section in Noth locations and that sucks. Sorry smokers :) They have really good food and can easily compete with many restaurants around. Fajitas, steak, chicken bites and tenders are all great and have been consistently very good over the years. Drink and food deals are very good and competitive. Nice place to watch some games. Service is very good, too. It can be busy and loud sometimes but it is a bar so that is fine.

I will always be nostalgic for the neighborhood bar that Austin’s used to be. More screens, more tables, fewer neighborhood bar games. They aren’t alone and have followed the nationwide trend in neighborhood bars moving to a quasi upscale sports bar vibe, it’s fine if all you want to do is watch a game. They still have maintained good service as well as good food with various daily specials.

KC strip was good, salmon cooked medium was fine. Burger was decent when it’s half price on Monday with beer purchase, otherwise don’t think it’s worth the price. The sides were below average, fries were undercooked, rice and green beans were dry. Service was alright.

I had the reuben sandwich and fries, and my husband had the farmer's burger and fries. They were both delicious, and we will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!

This is a great neighborhood bar & grill. There are several good menu choices and the food is always cooked fresh. We always receive great service here as well.

Love this place. The service was fast and the food was absolutely fantastic. I have been looking for a steak sandwich since I moved here a year ago and low and behold they have one on the menu and it was perfect. We will definitely be back again soon. Highly recommend this place

Fried pickles are great but could use more of them. Careful of you get the cowboy burger with all the fixings. It'll be T H I C C. Great food overall with good daily deals.

As a dead beat dad this place is really great. When I have the kids I can make them like me more than they like their mom by taking them here and buying them whatever they want! Thanks Austin! Your the best!

The food was good. Ordered online for pick up, unfortunately no where in the ordering process did it say they had chosen to alter their hours for that day. So the food would not be ready until 20 minutes after they opened later that evening, which I didn’t find out until I showed up and saw a note on the door. I even checked their social media which also didn’t mention being closed until 5. I would have probably picked a different restaurant if I had known about the closure, but I didn’t see anyway to cancel the order.

Turned 41 yesterday and we celebrated here. We had a party of 8-9 and wanted to sit on the bar side, well because it is so much more fun over there! The Manager (i think she was) was super accommodating and squished some tables together while she could of easily said that there were larger tables on the other side. We were there for a few hours. Drinks were great, the food was great and our server...Todd was his name... He was probably the BEST server we have ever had there! His personality was amazing! If he wasn't busy being awesome, i would of invited him to the party! He was also training another server in the process. So, hopefully, ya'll have another server just as awesome! Thank you for a great night!

Austin's is the place I go for good food at a good price. I don't think any one item blows me away, but I'm never disappointed in a meal there. Their steak sandwiches, French dip, salads, wings, fries, and steaks are all great, but I've never eaten anything bad, so get what you want!

Very good food. Hot and fresh. Even though they were short staffed the service was very responsive and friendly.

Good food accompanied with excellent service. I travel 3 to 4 times a month and I have eaten at many places and this visit stands out from all if them. My customer recommended this place for the chicken tenders, which were delicious, but the service by Hannah was exceptional. Her food and drink recommendations were very good and she was very welcoming for a solo traveler. The last time I had service on this level was while traveling through Japan. Great job Hannah!
