Such a great hidden gem! We live a mile from here and just visited for the first time -- it's wonderful! The wait staff were very meticulous about allergies and dietary restrictions. The restaurant itself was clean and cozy. The menu was packed full of delicious sounding dishes. We eventually chose the Tofu Grapow, Tofu Pad Thai, and two types of vegetarian spring rolls. Everything was super tasty; best pad Thai I've had! Their hot tea was also wonderful and tasted like it had a hint of marshmallow or vanilla in it. Highly recommend everything.

Despite being very busy at noon, we still received great service! Our drinks were always full and the server was kind and easily available. I also loved the atmosphere of Thai Place! The additional seating was very large and we enjoyed the decor. Of course, the food was spot-on! They served the best crabrangoon Ive ever had (it was rich, light, delecate, and obviously made in house). The entrees were delicious! The flavors were complex and everything was cooked to perfection. I'll definitely be returning to Thai Place soon!

WOW! What a hidden little gem. I can't believe how great this place is. It's very clean and a comfortable place to dine in. The fried calamari was the best calamari I have ever had. So many Thai options but all with quality and fresh ingredients. The medium spice level is probably a little too hot for the average person. So start with the mild+ option...still has some spice but doesn't make you sweat with every bite. Can't wait to take the family back. The prices might be a few dollars more per meal than most similar types of places BUT it is so worth it with the quality of the food.

Best Thai food you'll find in the area. Been dining here for many years and the place is always clean and orderly. The food is always fresh and delicious. The portions are enormous. The Jasmine tea is amazing. Be aware that if you ask for spicy it will be Thai spicy....which means extra hot.

Great food friendly staff, speedy service. First time having thai food and it was amazing. We got crab ragoons, chicken wings, seafood fried rice, and it was all very good!

When you go to a restaurant you sometimes tend to overspend because you wanted variety aside from the main course but here you get the most out of your buck because a meal comes with a side of soup or salad and pieces of crab rangoon. Food is great too! Will surely comeback to try their pag thai.

I don't usually go for a lot of food outside Midwestern meat and potatoes, but this was a fun treat, and very delicious! Service was good - not bothersome. Tried the Thai iced tea - yum! Portion size is a lot, too. Definitely will come back.

Authentic thai place, we visited this place early in evening. They have a huge menu and they have good amount of veg options available. Food comes in generous portion. Plenty of parking is available and decent amount of sitting.

3.6 stars ... Main dishes were a little bland. Appetizers were great. Good portion sizes. Lovely environment and great service. Vegan options!

This damn place is soooooo good. I never in my life would have imagined how much I would love Thai food. It’s literally my favorite cuisine now. You know what’s even better? The service. This family is so nice and friendly, look no further than to support this family and their business. Thank you for existing. πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

I just tried this place for the 1st time, not really knowing what to expect. I ordered the mild cashew stir fry and it was absolutely AWFUL. It was flavorless and bland, not sure where the "brown garlic sauce" was, but it was nonexistent. If I wanted to have water boiled chicken, veggies, and cashews, I could have done so at home for a lot less than $16. I took 2 bites for good measure, and immediately went to panda express for something 3x the flavor and half the price. Sad and disappointed..

Pad Thai was good . Mango sticky rice was horrible , no flavor and my mango was brown and looked rotten! I used a fork to feel it and it was mushy the rice below was hard . Felt like it had been sitting there for a while and not made to order . Would only come again for the pad thai

One of my favorite spots for Thai food! It’s on the pricier side but well worth it. The food was extremely hot even after driving all the way to Lawrence during a Friday rush hour. It was so hot that it melted the styrofoam container, so I do wish it had come in a plastic container like the other entree. The vegetarian egg roll filling was seasoned with curry which I wasn’t expecting, probably won’t get them again. I got peanut dipping sauce on the side - my favorite with spring rolls, they come with a sweet chili sauce by default.

Great service. Good food. No kids menu--that was disappointing since we ended up buying too much food. Also, egg rolls way over-priced. Curry dish was delicious.

Amazing. Have been eating here for 20+ years and it is the best. Fresh, bright ingredients and amazing flavors. Try the yellow curry fried rice, or garlic stir fry. Delicious!

I am sorry but this is Americanized Thai food. It’s not bad but not great. Pad Thai is super sweet. Pad se ew is not bad but on a very salty side. Thai basil wing was good. The water glasses were dirty.

This is the only place in the city that will make my dish legit Thai Hot without me begging them to destroy me with as much heat as possible. If you ask for Thai Hot, it's going to light you up.

We are from Wisconsin and found this on Google maps. The place was nice. The people were incredibly nice and helpful Service was top notch. But the food was the star of the show. I had king and Ann chicken. And the wife had pineapple and shrimp fried rice. We come back to Kansas at least once a year. And this is now added to our must visit list.

Food is delicious, may not be completely authentic, but I love it. Fast service. Love the papaya salad and Thai tea.

For customer service and how they handle their carry out issues. Such as receiving the wrong order, after confirming entire name (two Ashley’s switched). For also not remaking food that has been sitting for an hour - due to driving home and then back to EXCHANGE the wrong for the correct order.

As soon as you walk in, the smell is just delicious! I had the Volcano soup and the King and Ann with chicken, and I came back again less than a week later it was so good! The lady even remembered my order from the first time... I think she's a Thai ninja ... My friend had the Pad Thai and the bites I snuck were so yummy! I've never sat while eating and been excited about my leftovers for tomorrow. Def a new fav Thai place!!

Food is good. But there was no waiter to take order and then food came very late and got wrong food beef instead of chicken. They weren't sorry nor offered any compensation.

We had red curry, garlic fried rice with chicken. They were are good and tasty. The only surprise we had was the service fee in the bill.

The food was very good. I am a vegetarian and had the mushrooms with tofu. The tofu was so yummy, and the mushrooms, oh my, the whole meal was the best I have eaten in a very long, long time. And the coconut ice cream ... perfect ending to an excellent meal. Excellent customer service. We look forward to returning to The Thai Place.

The best pad thai I've had anywhere in the world! Fresh and delicious, super kind, will return!

They are very efficient here. We went on a friend’s recommendation. I had a vegetarian stir fry. They held the mushrooms, no issue. I wasn’t a big fan of the sauce. I loved the rice and egg rolls. My The sauce to dip the egg rolls was a bit on the spicy side but not over the top. My husband had a beef dish and said it was quite good. The soup only comes for the table, it would be nice to have individual servings. It’s on the pricey side. Very clean. Plenty of parking. Again they are very efficient, short wait time serving the food. The drinks were never empty.

Great Thai food! The prices are a bit high for the portion of food you get, but the taste and dishes are great. Be very careful asking for anything hotter than medium. Even with medium, it is just so many red pepper flakes added to make it so hot you almost cannot eat it. I like spicy food and medium was too much for me, especially since it is not any special types of spice, just lots and lots of red pepper.

The ambience is comfortable but classy. It would be a good place to go for almost any situation though not with rambunctious kids or someone looking for fine dining. Service was fast, but not particularly attentive. My friend had the pineapple fried rice, which she loved. I tried the crab fried rice, which was fine, but sadly lacking in identifiable crab. I couldn't taste crab at all, abs while I saw a few small pieces of what might have been crab, I'm not sure. I wouldn't recommend that dish. The crab Rangoon was tasty, but on the sweet side, as was the hot and sour soup. Altogether, it was an enjoyable experience, and I may go back, but I won't order the same dish.
