😐 Bagels were alright. Based off the other reviews, I thought I was going to get a bagel that was as good as the ones in NYC; this doesn't come close at all. The plain bagel I had was super hard (could be because we came here at 12pm) while the other was much softer and more enjoyable. The other downs... You have to buy a single use bottle for $1.50

Meshuggah bagels is located conveniently off 39th street. They have a delicious array of specialty spreads and bagel flavors and even seafood topping options. The staff was super friendly and helped with a really good recommendation when I couldn’t decide which flavor combination to get. I will definitely be a regular now & can’t wait to try the other flavors.

The chutzpah, the absolute chutzpah of these people to cut not one but BOTH of my bagels this way and then look me in the eye and sell them to me (+schmear) for $10. The absolute gall of these people. This is not the first bad experience I’ve had here. Last time they screwed up my (incredibly simple) order. The time before that, the guy behind the counter goysplained to me that they don’t sell asiago because it wouldn’t be kosher to eat with lox. Y’know, the milk of the mother and the meat of the child. I’ll clue you in on something, genius: SALMON DONT PRODUCE MILK. 2 stars because the bagels are delicious.

Amazing New York Style bagels! I have been missing NYC bagels since my college went virtual and these hit the spot! Literally brought me back to the bustling streets of NYC. The perfect bagel in every way. I got an everything bagel with rosemary and garlic schmear. It was amazing with the perfect ratio of cream cheese to bagel in my opinion. This is the only bagel place you will ever need in KC.

This is a lovely little spot on 39th street about 3 minutes away from KU Med. The bagel are very good, and the coffee is from The Roasterie. I love the Lox and Bagel. The location is quite charming and the service is quick and efficient.

Stopping here has become our Sunday ritual. The best bagels in KC, and they don’t skimp on the schmear! You’re not going to find a better bagel in the city. Would recommend having a mint on hand if you go for the garlic and herb schmear because it packs a punch (in the best way)

Dude, this place is amazing. Everything is so fresh and yummy. Perfect portions. Cold brew KC coffee was delicious. Bagels were good texture, great staff. Will definitely be going back. And will share this place with friends and family.

Super friendly staffs! Bagels are good, but I forgot to ask to get toasted! I personally think the toasted bagels taste 3 times better.

Super lovely staff and dine-in experience. Cafe built out of a small house, so don’t expect a large cafe. Warm and a great place to read and enjoy a bagel! One star off for (mostly user error but,) the most salty salt bagel I’ve ever had. The bottom half was good, but the top portion had so much salt that it tasted unbalanced. I will come again to try a different bagel!

A great place to start your day. Bagels were delicious and the atmosphere was even better. Highly recommend you try this place as I have a high standard for bagels growing up on the North Shore of Chicago.

Came around 11:25 and the line was out the door. Don't let that turn you away lines mean it's worth the wait. The restaurant is on the smaller side but has an inviting atmosphere. The smell of fresh coffee and bagels sounds like a great way to spend your Saturday morning. The line moved fast as the staff pushed out orders as they came. A regular recommended the Rosemary garlic smear on an everything bagel is the way to go they were not wrong. We also have a Smoked Nova Salmon and delicious. My childhood favorite cinnamon raisin with strawberry smear. The bagels chewy and are Loaded with smears! We also snagged an apple pie smear for our bagels at home. Next time we will have to try different combinations and come a little earlier.

My friend introduced me to Meshuggah Bagels when I treated her to a birthday breakfast earlier this month. What an absolutely DELIGHTFUL experience! The place is small--almost a converted home--and perfectly charming in its decor and simplicity. The staff is so friendly and helpful! Since it was my first visit, the young man behind the counter guided me through the menu, and I arrived at exactly what I wanted: an garlic bagel sandwich with smoked nova salmon, capers, and onions. YUMM!! I was instantly transported to my friends' home in Queens, New York, and stepping around the corner to their neighborhood bagel shop. My bagel sandwich was truly a slice of heaven, and the genuine article! I only wish my NYC friends could have tasted it. :-) I am sad that I've lived nearly 20 years in Kansas City and had no idea that Meshuggah Bagels existed! But those days are gone, and I will be a frequent customer from now on. Because, outside of New York City, I have never tasted a better bagel!! Thank you!! P.S.--My friend really enjoyed her bagel as well. And their coffee is really delicious, too!

Delicious bagels, done well in a cute spot. Snag the Lox + all the extras!

Seeing the business of the Sunday hours we decided to get ahead of the crowds and go just after opening. The three staff members were working hard filling call in orders and juggling walk in business. The variety of fresh bagels was good, about 9 different types from what I could see. My selection of poppy seed (lightly toasted) with a smear of smoked salmon was delicious! While we enjoyed our breakfast I was amazed at the walk in traffic and number of orders filled. It was a nice treat to relax almost alone in the storefront while the shoppers decided their orders.

Really like this place for bagels. The strawberry cream cheese spread on a bagel is a must try. The jalapeño cream cheese spread in a bagel is quite good even for its simplicity. I generally don’t like bagels due to their “chewiness” but these are on the softer side, which I like.
