We reserved a room to host a surprise 60th birthday for a family member who loves J. Rieger. The room felt like an executive office surrounded by stacks of barrels and the staff treated us like royalty. It was a very great experience, and renting the room included four signature cocktails and a few hours secluded from the rest of the building. The staff were amazing, very attentive to our needs and ensuring the drinks were flowing and fun was had by all

Great distillery! What a grand afternoon! 👏 Wonderful drinks, atmosphere, facility, surroundings, amenities, and people watching! There's so much going on in so many different directions! When you enter, there's a reception desk in front of the distillery, tons of merchandise, and full bottles available along with a stainless steel "tornado slide" 🛝 ..... how exciting is that?! A friend took a "slide video," which is included! The drinks were "good, really good!" The establishment had an upstairs eating area, with beautiful sites from all directions! The bars were shared with the front and back along with a patio area that's a huge hit, with food available! The food looked wonderful! 👌 The staff was friendly and the photos speak for themselves! It was worthy of a visit! This is definitely a well-kept KC secret that needs to be bragged upon! A visit, an afternoon or evening out, it's spectacular!

Excellent experience. The tour was packed with wonderful info and was an absolute joy. Ending with a tasting left me feeling like we certainly got our money's worth. Our tour guide was exceptional. Once done, a visit to the monogram lounge is a must. Excellent atmosphere in this lounge space coupled with incredible food made for a wonderful end of the day. Nina showed off the amazing Hey Hey lounge to my group which has only made us all the more likely to find reasons to come here again. Overall an incredible day and wonderful experiences.

If you go on a weekend, book a tour in advance because it is busy. I would like to say first, the aesthetics of the place is beautiful, love the vibe. Also the slide is a must, why take stairs down when you can be a kid again and take the slide down, though caution if you know a little on the drunk side. Anyways. We couldn’t get in on a tour, and one of the staff members did try, and thank you to her for that. For us, it wasn’t a big deal because we still had a good time doing the flight and trying the different drinks. The pretzel is a really great palette cleanser but also really soft and good. I highly recommend going out of your way to visit. It is in a industrial district but worth the pin and stop.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this impressive distillery that left me thoroughly impressed. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a sense of awe at the sheer size and offerings of this establishment. The experience began with the convenience of pre-ordering a bottle of bourbon online, ensuring a seamless pickup process. What truly set this distillery apart was the exceptional service provided by the friendly and attentive servers. They were knowledgeable about the various spirits on offer and were more than happy to answer any questions I had. Their warm demeanor created a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. One of the highlights of my visit was the patio area, where I spent most of my time due to the fact that I had my furry companion with me. The distillery's commitment to accommodating pet owners was evident, as they provided ample shade and thoughtfully placed dog bowls throughout the patio area. It was refreshing to find a place that catered to both humans and their four-legged friends. To my delight, I discovered that the distillery also offered a happy hour promotion. The drinks during this time were offered at half off the regular price, and they were truly outstanding. I found the happy hour beverages to be not only great in taste but also incredibly refreshing, perfectly complementing the ambiance of the distillery. In summary, this distillery left me thoroughly impressed with its vast size, friendly staff, pet-friendly atmosphere, and excellent happy hour offerings. I would highly recommend visiting this establishment to anyone looking for a remarkable experience. Whether you're a cocktail making enthusiast, a dog lover, or simply seeking a delightful happy hour, this distillery has something to offer everyone.

Met a friend at @jriegerco today and we had a great time. My first time in a distillery here in KC. Love the space there and lots of KC history to look at. Sorry for forgetting to show my drink, but the Old Fashioned I had was fantastic.

We have visited here for several events and for a casual cocktail. Its a lovely place with history and charm. There are 3 dining spots to choose from, each with their own vibe. Special cocktails reflect the season. Enjoy!

Took my Dad on a tour here for his birthday, highly recommend visiting! Our tour guide Victor was very knowledgeable & answered all our questions along the tour. He went out of his way to be hospitable and show us the rest of the facility after the tour was over. The Rieger company does everything with a sense of excellence. It is an experience you won’t want to miss out on. We were fascinated by the history as well. Can’t wait to come back!!!

Beautiful distillery and restaurant in a historical building located in Electric Park in the East Bottoms next to Knuckleheads. Kind of hard to find, not even going to try and explain it. Banquet rooms, multiple bars, and private tours.

We did the heritage tour, and loved it! We can’t wait to go back and do the other tour. After the tour, we ate at Monogram Lounge, upstairs, played shuffle board, and had some cocktails

We did the tour, which was followed by a tasting. I was really excited about seeing a KC company revived. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions about the history, distilling process, mash bill, aging, etc. The tour was not extremely long, about an hour. After the tour, there was a tasting of several of their spirits. Afterward, the bar was open to taste other select whiskey and cocktails. Finally, I totally recommend doing the ride down the slide, checking out the restaurant, and bar. Thank you for a memorable birthday. Cheers!

Have enjoyed drinks and food outside and upstairs. Love the different atmospheres all at the same location and you can't beat the slide! Plan to keep going back for special occasions.

We did the distillery tour and it was wonderful. The tour was very informative and you got 4 samples after the tour. I'm a big whiskey fan and have done several distillery tours and this was one of the better ones. Also their vodka was very good and they gin was pretty darn good too and I'm not a gin fan. After the tour we ate at the restaurant upstairs and the food was very good as well.

Booked the barrel room for my wife’s birthday. The food was perfect and earned rave reviews from our party. The service was impeccable. Drinks were always full but we were not being bothered. The room has an elegant ambiance that was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Planning was simple because J. Rieger has great staff who were involved and helpful from start to finish. Highly recommend for a wonderfully elegant evening.

SO awesome! Amazing to learn the early history of Kansas City and the importance alcohol had in developing it. Fantastic staff (and employers, every single person seemed genuinely happy to work there), great food, delicious drinks, and just so cozy! I loved the Hey Hey Club in the basement. Very chill vibe. All the bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Overall, I would highly recommend taking the tasting tour (maybe in the winter though, as it was very hot today and the barrel room isn't climate controlled.) All of the food I had was delicious and was very quick to arrive after ordering. What a terrific experience!

My husband & I took a tour spontaneously & were warmly welcomed with a smile & greeting from the nice lady at the front desk. The tour started a little after the time anticipated, but was well worth the wait. Our tour guide was interactive, witty, & deserves recognition. He made sure to talk loud enough over the loud machines & you could tell he was more than knowledgeable about spirits, the process, aging, everything. What a clean, modern, unique environment & experience. If my husband & I weren’t moving to the south, we would be back. Their Sundaze cocktail was to die for. I highly recommend this place to any tourist passing through, whether you are looking for something to pass the time with or not…must stop by for a cocktail, beer or wine, if not for the tour.

We hosted an engagement party in their back corner/private room. They were accommodating and courteous. We worked really well with Jenna and Michael. Definitely reasonably priced and beautiful for all sorts of occasions.

This place has it all, 4 different bars, a beautiful outside space, a food truck, distillery tours, meeting space and so on! We did the tour and hung out in the outside bar 2 nights in a row. Drinks and food were great!! Highly recommend the Electric Park Punch and Parmesan fries! I did not like gin before I came here but now I do! Staff was excellent!

Informative tour, great tour guide, she did great job fielding our questions and explaining the distillation process. The Kansas City Whiskey was my favorite. You will have to take the tour to find your favorite.

A nice history place with good food and drinks! Really recommend to buy their alcohol products home. It is a great place to entertain a big group of people. Check out their website for their up coming event including live music. Their happy hour is M-F from 3-6 pm.
