The century-old mansion (1920) of the Chen family in Kaohsiung (one of the five major families in Taiwan) is the first in Kaohsiung. It is only open to the public once a month (free admission). Photography is not allowed inside the mansion. The precious mother-of-pearl furniture from the Ming and Qing dynasties is worth a closer look. The entrance on the first floor protrudes from the rectangular building. From the terrace on the second floor directly above, you can overlook Kaohsiung Harbor (early period) to the west and admire the gable directly above. It is surrounded by low vase railings.

Such a tasteful Western-style building is in good condition after renovation. It is only open for tours on the second Saturday of every month and is worth a visit.

Private property, not public entertainment venues, theme parks, etc. Visitors must follow the time and route specified by the owner before entering. If your Honey can't wait, don't wait, then find someone who can cooperate.

The two-story cloistered bungalow started to be built around 1920. It has a nine-square-grid-like plan inside. It has not yet been officially opened. You need to make an appointment for a guided tour. Recommend places to visit in the future.

During the Qing Dynasty, Taiwan's resources were limited. Mr. Chen Zhonghe was able to create such a large industry in that era, and he was able to maintain the prosperity of his family after the change of dynasties. This kind of good family inheritance, extraordinary talent and hard work, more than a hundred years later, the entire family is still exerting influence in Taiwan.

Not open every day. If you get a chance you must visit a look into a founding father that built Kaohsiung from the early 1900’s. with Mandarin and English descriptions of artifacts inside.

It contains the genealogy of Chen Zhonghe's family. It is very thought-provoking as it is like browsing the microcosm of Taiwanese society from the late Qing Dynasty to modern times.

It is a well-preserved former residence with furniture from the Qing Dynasty and the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. There are also tour guides. Photography is prohibited inside, so please be careful.
