This
homestay
in
Kaohsiung
provided
us
with
an
interesting
stay
experience.
Due
to
the
impact
of
the
typhoon,
which
affected
our
original
plans
to
visit
Green
Island,
we
made
a
last-minute
booking
for
this
accommodation
in
Kaohsiung.
The
location
was
quite
good,
right
next
to
the
Pier-2
Art
Center.
The
homestay
owner
was
very
attentive
and
sent
us
more
than
10
messages
before
our
check-in.
Seeing
so
many
unread
messages
was
a
bit
surprising
to
us.
While
his
concern
was
endearing,
it
wasn't
necessary
to
be
so
anxious
because
we
had
already
paid
for
our
stay,
and
we
weren't
planning
to
run
away.
On
the
day
of
check-in,
the
owner
wasn't
on-site,
but
he
gave
us
detailed
instructions
over
the
phone
on
how
to
check-in,
and
even
told
us
what
we
could
touch
and
what
we
couldn't,
which
felt
a
bit
like
going
back
to
kindergarten.
This
was
a
novel
experience
for
me
as
I
had
never
stayed
in
this
kind
of
accommodation
with
such
house
rules
before.
We
were
attracted
to
this
homestay
because
of
its
balcony,
which
turned
out
to
be
quite
cute,
and
the
price
was
reasonable.
The
only
drawback
was
the
bathroom
design;
the
shower
area
and
toilet
were
not
separated,
which
meant
that
the
entire
bathroom
would
get
wet
after
taking
a
shower,
making
it
impossible
to
use
the
toilet
without
getting
wet.
Overall,
this
stay
experience
was
quite
unique.
