Famous night market line with street vendors offering assortment of local favors. One of my favorite food is the deep-fried Spanish mackerel soup. I also enjoyed their local season fruit plate that goes well with it's unique dried plum powder.

Not too busy when I visit here. Looking for a Muslim friendly food or vegetarian food here. Luckily there's one Turkish Halal Certified vendor. It's really good. Nearby Formosa Boulevard MRT. Exit 1. Just 4 minutes walk

The night market is situated within 10 minutes' walking distance from the Formosa train station. It is not a big night market but has some good stores, especially for nonvegetarian lovers. There are few stores for vegetarians and vegan lovers. The night market comprises food, games, cosmetics, and accessories stores. The night market has a public washroom and an information service center for tourists. It is usually crowded on weekends.

I like this place, they're not have much stuff there, but I think everyone will find here at least something he likes. I enjoyed here great and cheap sugar cane juice, because the owner was so nice he gave me more than I paid for and then I got a great fresh juice. My friend tried different varieties of dumplings and it was pretty cheap j think he was satisfied as well. The market is not big neither small, the distance from one end to another is pleasant. I also like that the place was quiet and without many people, but I was there on Monday.

Almost all the stalls in this night market sell street foods, fruits and drinks. Only a few stalls sell fashion accessories, clothes and souvenirs. A few tables and stools are provided between the two rows of stalls. It is a small night market occupying about 350 meters of the road. Visitors walk in an anti-clockwise direction here. It is a good and recommendable place to have dinner as it offers all the types of street foods that you would look for in Taiwan.

Yummy night market!!!! I love this place - it’s spacious and clean, and the food here is really good. I particularly enjoyed the soup dumplings and prawn egg pancakes & the grilled mochi. The handmade 牛轧糖 was a true highlight - buy your souvenirs here! Besides, the walkway is huge, so you can take your time to look through the different stalls. Check it out!

Good spot for food and games. Not too many varieties in terms of stall offerings. The night market is closed off only for pedestrians and a lot safer than some other markets. It is also a lot cleaner compared to other markets I've been to and doesn't smell!

This place used to be the place to be, but because of COVID that has sadly changed. You can still buy different types of food and cellphones accessories. But the atmosphere is slow and sad. Talking to the vendors they said their main income comes from the foreigners and there was hardly any on a Saturday night. I recommend you stop by and give them some business before the market closes.

Probably the oldest night market in Taiwan and spans over 2 streets. It is not as big as the ones in Taipei but the key stalls are open. During the weekdays, some of the stalls were closed. The quality of food was average and prices are of the other night markets.

It’s a very good night market though it’s not a very big one. Location is easily accessible. Most of the stall owners are nice and friendly. Food is yummy and cheap. Many stalls have tables and chairs to serve customers. Rubbish bins are also easily located.

A vibrant night market even if it's raining! Plenty of both locals and tourists but definitely more tourists in the area. Not much variety in food choices and they're just repeated every few stores. We had so much food we probably had everything like the Siew long baos, their popcorn fried chicken, their herbal soup like with pork intestines, papaya milk, grilled mochi, and grilled beef. Yums!

I went after the typhoon and the rain was coming and going, so not many stalls were open. I still loved the variety and I like this market cause it’s spacious and it didn’t feel crowded. I’d only avoid the oyster pancake place - the one done on a large hot plate. Queue was long so I thought it would be good. Turns out, it was just disorganised, girl took my order and had me standing there for ages while everyone else got theirs especially people who ordered after me. When I finally got it 20 min later, it was sloppy and drenched in a bland sauce. Was not worthy of my time at all!

You come here for the experience not for fine dining. Having said that, many of the street food here is quite tasty, although probably not too healthy. It's a fun night out with the family with not only food but also lots of different shops and activities in the area. I'd recommend skipping dinner altogether and come to this night market and try all the different offerings. Your tummy may not thank me, your taste bud will.

A nice sized night market – A good selection of tasty food, but not so large that it is confusing or overwhelming. Quite a bit of seafood (including pregnant fish!). Very clean and orderly. Fairly easy to find a place to sit. Very close to the Formosa Boulevard MRT Station.

Very disappointing night market. The motorcycles constantly weaving through the crowds of people, even though signages were put up showing they weren’t allowed, made it impossible to enjoy the smell of the food (with constant smell of gasoline in the air). It was also really dangerous as they weaved past people at high speeds, and nearly knocked into me while I was just walking down the night market. However there are many different varieties of food available at the night market.

This Night Market is popular in Kaosiung city. We tried Local food and dessert .All is good taste and cheap . Every one was nice and friendly .Moreover, the market has over 100 food stalls lining both sides of Liuhe 2nd Road. Some vendors have their own seating but others are food carts. But if there are a few tables and chairs along the middle of the road if you need to sit down and eat. Tourists can sample many types of Taiwanese food including fresh seafood, oyster omelette, dumplings, and fried chicken.

Clean, garbage cans and free seating in the middle. Lots of variety of foods. You will notice there are a few shops competing to sell the same foods. There are convenience stores along the market if you need to use a washroom or grab a drink (or a beer).

Really good night market. Not crowded & packed like shilin, but well spaced out Nd very few scooters transiting the area. Great selection of food, from usual favourites to more unusual stuff. Lots of games to play & shops opened along the route to browse through. Bins located along the market route, a welcome addition. Took about an hour to stroll from one end to the other & back. Stinky tofu was really good, go easy with the chilli.

Liuhe Night Market impresses with its organized layout, providing ample pedestrian space for exploring a diverse array of street food and local products. During our 3-day stay in Kaohsiung, we revisited this market twice. Notable dishes include crispy fried squid, a unique small sausage within a big sausage, fried oyster with egg, oyster with mee sua in thick soup, and flavorful fried pork. While not the largest or the best in Taiwan, Liuhe stands out as the most comfortable night market we've experienced – it's baby stroller-friendly, avoids overwhelming crowds, and conveniently accessible via MRT.

It’s a must coming to Taipei. I recommend the pork bun at the beginning of the street which is also Michelin star rated. There are so many varieties of food: fried chicken, stinky tofu, grill beef , vegetarian options , bubble tea and etc…. There are so many interesting activities in this market. For like $3 i was about to get a fortune reading or your personality analysis. There are also massage like $20 for an hour, the guy did a good job on fixing my shoulder pain. I learned it’s not about the luxury or comfortable experience there but the guy can get my problem fixed.

This is one of several night markets in the city. The place is interesting to visit, and everyone can touch the local way of life and culture. There is mostly a wide selection of food that should be chosen more carefully. Unfortunately, these markets over time are losing their authenticity as they start to become more of a tourist destination, and this contributes to losing the emotion of being there. Overall, i recommend visiting the market.

I followed the sign after getting out of the station, it was around 2mins walk. One of the best markets I’ve been to in Taiwan. Had the fried squid and the cheese balls.

In my honest opinion, there are other bigger and better night markets in Taiwan. This is not one of them. Just one street. Not sure if it is because of covid and that the country only recently open up 6 days before I visited. Either way the smelly tofu isn't smelly here (which is a bad thing). My guess is that very little people bought tofu from this place hence the smell of the cooking/pan doesn't have the accumulated smell/ingredients from all of the cooking.

Definitely the best nightmarket in the area. Must try the stinky tofu that's been around for 50 years. There is a cart that only sells fried rice, don't do it. All vendors are friendly.

Vibrate night market with a decent variety of food stalls. The highlight for me was definitely the HUGE grilled squid. Absolutely delicious and great value! Besides the food stalls, there are the usual shops and some games too. Definitely worth visiting.

It's a typical Taiwan night market, it is honestly quite underwhelming, there were some stalls that were great but some like the stinky tofu here were not good. Good thing is it is very very easy to get to, as it is 1 minutes walking distance from MRT station 美丽岛. It is definitely a tourist trap, you won't go too wrong coming here but don't expect anything too much.

A Very famous night market in koahsiung. This night market is popular with locals and offers a range of Taiwanese snacks There is also an Istanbul Turkish roll available for Muslim visitors.

A rather scattered night market but it offered a good variety of food. Had a delicious lemon flavoured jelly and a great tasting bitter gourd/pineapple/honey concoction. Going back for more of it tomorrow.

Vibrant night market. Much easier to navigate compared to Ruifeng. We tried Papaya milk, giant fried squid, sausage wrapped in sticky rice, luwei and ayu. All dishes were delicious and reasonably prices (for us tourists). Everyone was nice and friendly.
