The original Patriotic Women's Hall is a building located in Hama Star, Gushan District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. The original Patriotic Women's Hall building is a red brick, two-story building with a dormitory-style roof, with an "imitation Adam style" A distinctive rectangular building. The porch and walls are decorated with washed stones in the pattern of egg darts. The roof is low-sloped and covered with tiles. There are double cast-iron brackets under the eaves. It is a unique architectural feature. This building was built in 1922 during the Japanese colonial period. It is used by the Japanese to send off troops on expeditions, send condolences to the front line, visit the injured in the army and farewell/send off veterans, etc.; in addition, it also often holds social education activities such as speeches, family classes, and concerts. After the liberation of Taiwan, it was once used by the "Red Cross Child Care Center", a kindergarten affiliated to the Red Cross Society of the Republic of China. It is now listed as a municipal historic site in Kaohsiung City. After renovation, it is currently used for exhibitions for the public to enjoy.

The cultural assets of the past are now opening the door to history with exhibitions. The exhibition invites 9 groups of contemporary art creators from different fields to extend their creations on women's issues through visual, olfactory, auditory and interactive techniques. The aroma that greets you upon entering the museum The participating perfumer Kunakata uses scent to echo the historical context of Eastern women's education. -"2022 Taiwan Cultural Expo x Taiwan Design Exhibition" in Kaohsiung- -"Ms. Perfume Beauty Age" Exhibition- The exhibition "Ms. Perfume Beauty Age" is currently on display on the first and second floors, which mainly displays the creations of contemporary women. On the second floor, there are photography works by Naomi Watanabe and Hiro Yoshida. The original Patriotic Women's Association Hall is a building located in Hamasing. It is now listed as a municipal monument of Kaohsiung City. It was the first women's association office in Kaohsiung during the Japanese occupation. In addition to being used for conferences, it also provided a place for women to learn skills and hold exhibitions. The space is an important spatial field in the history of social education development in Kaohsiung. After the war, the Kaohsiung Patriotic Women's Association served as a childcare center to house displaced children and teenagers, providing an alternative family function. In addition, the original Patriotic Women's Hall is one of the very few "imitation Adam-style" Western red brick buildings from the Japanese colonial period that has been preserved in Taiwan. The architectural features of the building are specially illuminated with lights. If you bring children, you can ask them to play "Look where?" and all the children said it is quite interesting. You can see the hanging flowers and ribbons carved on the capitals, and the walls are also decorated with flat panels decorated with egg darts. The overall appearance is detailed and elegant. The components and methods of the roof wooden frame are also very special. In addition, the wood on the second floor is made of fragrant cedar. When I walked into the second floor, I asked the exhibition staff why it smelled so good. The smell was really fresh (I am not talking about the smell of the fragrances on the first and second floors). If you don’t know the meaning behind the exhibits, you can also ask the on-site staff. They are very enthusiastic in explaining. There is an entire wall of appendix on the second floor. I think it is super cool. There is a pot hidden underneath. Everyone is welcome to look for it. look.

Quite an amazing place, introducing in detail the situation of women during the war and dedicating the second floor to an art display area. Construction of the Kaohsiung Women's Center started in 1992. It was converted to official use in 1938. In 1961, it was designated by the Red Cross Chamber of Commerce. In 2004, it was listed as a Kaohsiung Siding historic site and opened to the public in 2022. It can be divided into three aspects: social practice for unemployed women and military support.

It is a Japanese-era building that has been renovated. It has red brick walls as the main body and is divided into two floors. It will be completed in September 2022. It will be a centenary and currently has a special exhibition of "Beautiful Era". The exhibition staff kindly explained the admission rules. The space is quite bright and comfortable, and it is also specially illuminated. The style indicates the characteristics of this building (it is located on a one-way street and is about a 19-minute walk from the MRT and light rail). The Butokuden Temple is not far away and you can visit it together.

When you come to Xiziwan, you can arrange to visit here. There is Wude Temple next to it, and there are also fish markets and other attractions nearby. It is recommended that a motorcycle or bicycle will be more convenient to park!
