Very good location, just outside Formosa boulevard exit 9. If you want to take the escalator or lift, use exit 1. Some climbing is necessary when you need to use the bathroom or showers, because they may be on a higher floor. Lift doesn't go to every floor. Very DIY, self-help hostel with minimal staff; based on a trusting and communal living concept. Room is small but modern and clean. Very comfortable. Only for people with common sense, responsibility and doesn't expect to be babied. The staff has their own things to do. There is a handicap accessible toilet on the ground floor, and an unmanned store with basic items. There is also a coin operated laundry.

I stayed at Let's Hostel for four nights. The location of the dorm is excellent, it could not be better placed at the MRT intersection right next to a night market. The dorm is clean and the entrance ladies are friendly. There is inexpensive self-service laundry and water fountain. However, my stay was in whole not pleasant. The upper beds in the dorm have no ceiling, so it's very noisy and bright in the bed - despite the curtains. This is a serious nuisance. There are also large gaps to the lower bed which let light pass through - good luck trying to sleep without an eye mask and earplugs. You can hear every small noise in the dorm. What bothered the most, however, was that the hostel does not provide towels. They have single use towels for sale, or point you to 7-11 to buy a proper towel. Especially annoying was when I found out that they offer proper towels for their private rooms. It's such an inconvenience to use these terrible single use towels, and it's also atrocious for the environment. Don't understand this mindset towards their customers and towards our environment... If you're staying less than 2 nights I can recommend the place, however if you're planning to stay longer avoid.

The location of the hostle is right where you want to be. It's in between exit 9 and 11. It truly felt like I paid the price for a hostel but got to stay in hotel. Everything was so clean and the bathroom was the perfect size. I never had to wait for a shower or toilet and the floor was near full of guests. I also thought it was cool they provided slippers for all guests! Aside from the actual room I was sleeping in, I loved the basement common area. I was able to run out for food, eat and drink a few beers down there at night while in the morning it was the perfect setup for working on my laptop. If you are a digital nomad this place provides a great work life balance.

Great location, next to one of the exits in Formosa station. The staffs were helpful with luggage storage before checkin time. You need to wear their sandals indoor. The room size is decent but the table is too small to put anything beside charging our phones. The shared bathroom and toilet are nice and clean. They also have common room in the basement with free tea and coffee.

Great value and convenient location. The staff is friendly, the hostel is clean and the facility is well-kept. Security is not a concern as you have your locker and special key to access female-only shower areas. The only not-so-good experience at the hostel is that I have several mosquito bites.

I stayed in other Light hostels, they were better. This place is clean and tidy, and the beds are very comfortable, but i have some negative points: 1) there is currently no kitchen 2) common area is too small 3) common area seating was not comfortable. The chairs were mostly hard plastic, and a couple of soft. 4) common area is freezing cold. There are 4 big a/c machines blasting out cold air, you need a coat to stay there 5) a/c controls in room are not in english, very cold 6) busy hostel, but bathroom not always clean. Sinks full of thick black hair Needs imprivement

Yes ✅️ - Convenient location, exit 1 or 9 of Formosa Boulevard Station, which is an interchange station with 2 train lines. - Affordable, ~SGD70 for 3 nights, all female dorm No ❌️ - MUSTY/MOULDY SMELL IN THE ROOM - room not well ventilated, stuff if you are curtained on your bed - 2 showers and 1 toilet on each level?? - toilet doesn't get cleaned very often - water pressure a bit wonky, 1 cubicle in use will cause constant noise in the other. - toilet door is also not smooth, cannot fully close on its own. Or needs to be closed in a specific manner otherwise it will make a constant clicking noise. Preferences 🙂 The bed and pillow is damn soft, good if you like. I didn't. Shifted hostel after 1 night, couldn't vibe.

The cleanliness was not ideal. Although the hostel requires everyone to change into slippers upon entry, the carpet in the hallways were visibly tainted throughout. The staircases looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for a while, and the bed side table was covered with a pretty thick layer of dust. But the friendly staff and nice location still deserves some credits.

Cheap and well managed hostel. The hostel is very clean and comfortable to stay. The location is so great, just in front of the exit 11 of Formosa boulevard Station. There are morning market and night market around by just walking distance. At night there are a lot of bars available around the area too! It's also waking distance to the train and express bus station. In front of the hostel have a Ubike station, which is so convenient. Basically you can visit anywhere by bike in Kaohsiung!

Very convenient hostel located near a train station. Basic, satisfactory stay at a hostel!!BUT please take exit 1 (there’s an elevator) so that you wouldn’t lug your luggages up the monstrous stairs. Also the cabinet wouldn’t fit for luggages >25 inch, so you will need to sleep with your luggages.

Pros: - Affordable rates - Great location (it's literally at the doorstep of the 美丽岛 metro station and is a 10mins walk to the railway station) - Big shower cubicles with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided - Staff aren't the friendliest but will help if you ask - Shoes not allowed in rooms, so that keeps the rooms relatively clean. Slippers are provided. Cons: - It's a big hostel so I'm not sure how thorough they are with their cleaning. There was a visible layer of dust on top of the lockers as well as on the bedframe!! I had to wipe it before I could sleep. - Boring breakfast - there was only bread - I wish there was a bit more space to hang my clothes or just put my stuff. The lockers were pretty small and there were no hangers/hooks in the room itself, and only 2 above each bed. Overall I would recommend this only for a one or two nights stay.
