We stayed in a double dorm bed at paper plane in December 2019. The hostel is in a great location - only 1 minute to thr MRT station and then no more than about 30mins to any of the main tourist spots in the City. The bed was really comfy and had an amazing view of the city. We had a big shelf to keep our bags on and plenty of locker space for valuables. The communal area is nice and spacious and there is free tea and instant coffee which is good. You can also buy Espesso coffee for a reasonable price. They have good laundry facilities which only costs $40 Taiwan Dollars per load, regardless of size/weight. However, the hest part of the stay were the hostel staff. They were all really helpful and gave us great advice on where to go in Kaohsiung. Everyone spoke English really well and were super keen to help us have a good time in their city.

Good location as mentioned by other reviewers. They've sunk a lot of money into here, all the appliances and electronic stuffs are major brands. Speaking of electronic, digital keys are used everywhere, even for the spacious personal locker. Capsule sleeping space is big enough and doesn't squeak when I moved about in bed. I get 2 electric plugs and 2 USB outlets in my capsule for good measure. Laundry is available on site for a reasonable fee. Free flow warm/cold drinking water, fizzy beverages, bath towel, I could go on and on. This doesn't feel like budget travelling at all. It's a 6 star hostel that rivals some 5 star hotels for value and comfort.

Hands down the best hostel in Kaoshiung (maybe even all of taiwan). The place is new and exceptionally clean, best of all the rates are real affordable. The hostel is tastefully designed, there's drop down windows in the lobby and room that offers you a magnificent view of the city. You'll sleep in a cabin which gives you adequate privacy, the bed and duvet are all hotel standards. Trust me, you wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

Taiwanese are one of the friendliest and most hospitable people I came across whilst visiting Asia, but the same can’t be said about the people working reception here. Not friendly at all. Also, they will not let you use the toilet (which is attached to the reception area) after check-out, which really lacks hospitality to people who spend money on your business. The only case in which denying a quick toilet visit would be understandable would be if the bathrooms were attached to the rooms, instead they’re attached to the common area, so if you take a shower or need to go to the toilet at night you have to walk through the whole hostel. The curtains are nice and cleanliness seems okay, but honestly I would chose a different hostel which knows a thing or two about hospitality, because I’d rather stay in a place where staff are friendly and don’t treat you like a nuisance.

Very nice hostel. It’s closest to exist number 4 from the Haoyi station. There were free drinks in the main area and a place where you can sit with friends. Place was clean and wifi was good. thank you so much.

All around fantastic hostel. Very close to an MRT station which directly connects to HSR and main station, and a convenience store and nightmarket are nearby. Super clean rooms, showers and toilets. Beds are big and very comfortable. And a special shout-out to the staff: Amazingly helpful and friendly on another level! My favourite station of the whole journey, I would always return here.

Good location just next to Hou yi MRT, comfortable bed, nice view from bed 6W , highly recommended.

Affordable hostel in Kaohsiung city. It costs only 442NTD a night(and breakfast is complimentary). The room and bathroom are clean but a little bit small. The great advantage of the hostel is it really close to MRT station and convenience stores.

Lovely hostel. One of the best hostels at this cheap price (prices vary which booking site you book one, so search around). The hostel is located on the 10th floor of a high rise building. Still quite easy to find, as there are signs on the building leading you to the place. The main Lobby is lovely. It’s clean and bright, and has free water, juices, sweet drinks, cutlery, plates and glasses. Everything you might need for a stay. The toilets are clean and so are the showers. The shower water is lovely, but unfortunately no area for changing, so you have to change in the wet part of the shower. The location is pretty good - there’s a ton of food shops near the hospital, and it is literally located right outside exit 4 of Houyi station. 7-11 conscience store about 4 min walk away. The rooms are nice - I stayed in a 8 person room. Everything is electronically locked, so keycard is essential. The beds are kinda like a cubby hole. The is a curtain, light, two international plugs and two usb plug in each bed. You have one storage space under the bed. No squeaking from the bunk above at all. The bed and pillow is ok - is must be average quality memory foam, so it does feel like you make a hole in the bed when you lay there. The pillow seems to just sink. Overall a great experience. Would come back to this hostel in a heartbeat.

Great first impression walking in! Clean, bright, and open. Outside shoes are not allowed, provide slippers for inside. Storage lockers for each bed big enough for valuables. Bathrooms look clean and bright. Breakfast is basic, toast and spreads. Bathrooms is located in common area by kitchen, not by dorm rooms. Laundry service available for $80 (wash and dry). Free hot drinks during the day. Would recommend (10 person dorm).

Is a really bad hostel. Everything is dirty. The worst part is the staff. They are really rude and don't explain anything at all. You are not allowed to use toilet or stay in the lobby a bit longer after the check out. Definitely not a hostel style
