Quite an interesting place that has many exhibits that teaches various science concepts, ranging from simple physics to the common biological sciences. For Singaporeans who are in Kaohsiung for a visit, do cater at least half a day to visit the place and allow your kids to explore the various science exhibits that in my opinion, are much more experiential and more interesting compared to the exhibits found in Singapore Science Centre. If anyone from Singapore Science Centre is reading this, I would recommend a team come here for a learning journey to research on how we can improve our own science centre. It is quite visible that the taiwanese science centre is an extensive collaboration with their science education institutions and local industries to bring about a very holistic approach to the science exhibits found here.

HUGE museum that could easily take a whole day to explore. We particularly enjoyed the expansive display on the top floor about Typhoon Morakot, especially the immersive 14 minute video that projects all around you. The museum also has interesting displays on the Taiwan industrial revolution, technology, production, communication, health, etc. Free bag check, place to eat pack lunch, and I spotted a cafe as well. Plenty of bathrooms, and there’s a bus stop right outside.

Terrible. NOT FOR KIDS . Huge wasted space. Very sad really. You can see the remnants of a good museum if you look past the dust and years of lack of maintenance. For heaven's sake, Carrefour has nicer bathrooms with better children's facilities. The two floors supposedly for children felt like bushiban cram-schools turned into open classrooms. Lots of written information, not fun or interactive. Worst of All, one of the few hands on exhibits has replaced a working bicycle component with a spinning bike and has automated the rest, so kids are duped into thinking they are responsible for making it move. Seriously? 掉連。 Children's indoor playscape w fake snow is nice, but closes at 4 and at 350nt x is not cheap. Btw. Most exhibits close at 4+- so, go early. And during the 12-1 lunch break. As someone mentioned, probably due to new management. Hopefully it will change again in the near future. Don't waste your time and make your children unhappy. They do have a 3-d movie theatre. Might be ok. Didn't go in. Might be ok for teens.

Perfect place for children to spend a day or two here!! They’d never get bored and would be able to simultaneously play and learn through a variety of activities, which would keep their busy little hands super busy.

The museum itself is nice since it’s very interactive the only downside is that a lot of the interactive activities are in Chinese so if you are a foreigner who can’t read the characters, it might be hard but you can randomly press the buttons. The place is good for children and families.

If you've been to the national science museum in Taipei before, you'll realise how disorganized everything is at the Kaohsiung one. No options for all access tickets so visiting more than one section of the museum with kids quickly becomes prohibitively expensive. We bought tickets at the counter for the B2 kids play area only to be told by the volunteers that we needed to buy another when we got to the entrance, just for a parent to be able to access the waiting area. Why weren't we told this when we paid for the tickets? Some staff are friendly enough but some seemed uninterested in offering help or assistance when asked. The Team labs interactive exhibition that's going on at the moment is good. Just a few small changes would make this a much better experience.

The place is huge with 6 floors, there are a lot of interactive things that we can try They also have some games, it cost 30 NT dollars per game It is fun for family with children But there is no mrt station near the museum, you could take bus or train to go there (with walking distance)

A extremely interesting and interactive place where they use the latest technology such as VR headsets to keep you entertained. It’s a good place to kick back and relax while the kids play around with the games. It’s a huge place so I recommend giving a full day to explore it. However, some attractions require tickets so be prepared to pay

Great experience for everybody in Kaohsiung. Excessive exposition, though not everything is with English translation. On certain days there was a free entry (not sure whether it's still a thing), some extra shows and decent restaurant inside the building. Definitely a whole day attraction, so be prepared for it.

It's was a fun place for kids from age 2-12, we spent whole day just on B1 floor for our young kids, we came back next day to visit 6/f & 4/f. and the ticket fee just nt$100 for adults. Highly recommended

A very interactive museum. I went on a weekday, and there were several field trips during this time. Didn't really run into them though. After buying a ticket and going in, the ticket checker stamped my wrist, and I asked if we could get the stamp on a notebook, which they then told us there were other stamps in the back, which I went to get. There are more than the ones I got. There is also a place to get a map, and you can get an English one. My favorite was the agility test where they lit up a grid on both your left and right side, and you were basically playing whack a mole. They would also give you a score at the end. There was also an exhibit where you played the game operation on a bigger scale. Both of which were in the "Open sesame" section on the 4th floor. There was also an "Ancient locks area," and they let you try and attempt to open 3 different really old locks. There's also a cafe on the third floor, which was nice. There was a lot of seating and an old radio? Exhibit. The fries were really good. I also like the thai tea latte I got.

Nice museum and a lot of exhibits to see. Some appear to be closed or they just didn’t bother to turn on the lights. They also have a kids area below to burn off those calories. Such as a snow park and a small manual power coaster. I highly recommend you visit when you’re in the neighborhood. Also it has very good A/C to cool off on those hot days. They also have a cafe on the second floor and the food is tasty but depending on how busy they are the food comes off a bit slow.

This is a huge museum. While kids will be able to spend a few hours learning and having fun, adults can learn something too. Loved the part relating to Taiwan’s industrial development and Nobel Laureate.

I had great experience here. You can learn a lot of Taiwan's technology advancement. It's a great place for hanging out with family and friends, there are many interaction tools you can use, good for bonding experience. A must visit when you are Kaohsiung, for the base price of NTD 100, absolutely worth it.

Nice museum. Some of the exhibits are a bit simplistic but many have an opportunity for interaction. There are more areas aimed at kids but also a few interesting for adults

Located in central Kaohsiung, this museum is great for kids, teenagers, and even toddlers. Plenty of different themes are presented adequately, which really understandable texts and plenty of visual imagery. Some of the offered gadgets like the tablet are not really that useful, but a nice gesture. Beyond the museum part, there's also a rather big sledding and jungle gym with salt as snow substitute. On the outside, there's a park area for kids to run around with their scooters, play ball, or read books at the mobile library. All in all a nice location for a visit in the weekend.

Some of the exhibitions are nice but it’s not the best museum that I have been. The healthland is really cool!

Really enjoy all the exhibitions, all very well designed and organized. Only $100 and could let you spend whole day here to escape from the hot sunny day in Kaohsiung. Don’t want to post pictures because I’d like all of you go explore by yourself. Went in Saturday and there’s a flea market at south side of the museum. You could find some cheap, interesting stuff here!
