    Very unimpressed with medical care in Taiwan. Government funded medical care equals extremely busy, outdated centers. They don’t take Apple Pay, credit cards or electronic payments, the facilities are not clean, the staff are volunteers, the equipment is old, doctors recommend medicine without much thinking, seem behind on medical research. I’d rather pay premium money for better care.

    This is a Korean family who came to Taiwan to attend a medical conference but visited the emergency room because our son was sick. The medical team in emergency room is the best medical staff I have ever met in my life. Especially the Dr. Li,Meng-Ru who worked in the emergency room and the nurses are the most excellent medical team. I am so proud of them.

    Treatment is decent. Some doctors speak English. Price is very cheap for a foreigner. However, even with an appointment, I am there all day waiting. How is one expected to take a whole day just to wait for the doctor hours past the time we are asked to show up.
