Service is good overall. Staff are all attentive. However too attentive can be a little intrusive and excessive; had the morning breakfast buffet the staff that took us to our table literally did a grand tour before sitting us down. A little too much at 7am. On a separate note the pepper shaker on our table and next table over were both empty. Details can be improved. BTW dry sauna set at 75 is just not hot enough. Typical setting 80-85, I gave my feedback to the gym but they told me 75 is standard. Being a long time club member I am very well aware of what the proper temp setting is. Overall good experience. Good job

Just checked into Kaohsiung Intercontinental Hotel and I am extremely pleased. The front desk manager Kent was a true professional, he ensure my check-in process was smooth and prompt. Unfortunately they didn’t have a room available right away but Kent was able to put my room on the priority list so I can get my room in a timely manner. He also clearly explained the hotel facilities and provided excellent customer service. I would rate this place 5 star and will be back for sure. Thank you thank you thank you!

Well yeah... It's a top tier hotel, therefore you can expect the best in terms of service, location, equipment and so on. Worth the experience; they have a nice bathtub, voice-controlled "assistance" (for lights, temperature, curtains, radio etc.), Nespresso coffee machine, Dyson hair dryer and so forth. Good idea to visit with your significant other 👌🏽

Stayed here for one night. Breakfast was pretty good. Room and bathtub are tiny compare with other Intercontinental hotels. Location isn’t the greatest, but safety. However, there have no hotel crew at the front door for over 5 mins which make the check in process confusion

Wow—best stay ever! We stayed in a king suite overlooking the harbor and pretty much had 180 views.. we had views in the living room, the bathroom, the bedroom, you name it! They had Byredo body products, which I loved, and the room had a Dyson blowdryer too! Don’t even get me started on the facilities… they were so nice and empty and clean! Will definitely be back.

Kaohsiung doesn't really have much of a Christmas atmosphere, but luckily it does. The Intercontinental's service was a pass, and the two complimentary drinks (including alcohol) at the bar on the first floor were a delight, as well as the two complimentary bottles of white beer for the extra event, which was a great way to knock out the guests with alcohol. This time, I chose the harbor view room type, but the angle is not very good, I do not know whether it is because there is only 10th floor?I don't know how the visual effect is on the higher floors. The rooms and bathrooms are moderately equipped, disposable bath products are not used, but I still think it's the environmental protection that is the topic, and the toilet is also a standard equipment. The voice assistants, which are being used in more and more hotels, are also available here. The minibar follows the tradition of charging full price, but the free tea bags are rare.

Everything went well until Friday(28JUL) evening. When we came back after dinner, the parking was full. Then I stopped at the spacious front of the hotel, sitting in the car after drop off my 87 years old parents. I ask the concierge if I could wait there for the parking space and hope they could do some arrangements in the typhoon night. (As I knew the parking spaces were occupied by the dinning customers and that will soon be available.) Unfortunately, she said "No" and offer me to park at the outdoor parking across the street. I did not accept the offer because the parking is not convenient especially in typhoon days. Then I tried to ask the help from her supervisor. Her supervisor came and appeared to be impatient, said I could block the passage if I stop there and my car could be hit by fallen tree. I told him the passage was so wide even two cars can pass at the same time and fallen tree could hit my car if I parked at the outdoor parking across the street. Also I could be in danger when I walk back to Hotel. He then became impolite and urge me to leave. Fortunately, there was a car coming out from the underground parking, so I rush down and stop argue with him. Actually, this unhappy experience can be easily avoid by just asked me to lineup and wait for the parking. Of course, I was expect more help from a 5 star hotel service, such as arrange me a space to stop and inform me when the packing become available. Obviously, the concierge supervisor was not trained to be a 5 Star hotel concierge, needless to say a supervisor in concierge.

Staff were friendly and attentive. Housekeeping was amazing and had little touches that made a difference. From tidying our messy charging cables and placing a mat below our toiletries to arranging of shoes 💯 Staff was also accommodating for delaying check-out due to event constraints. However, they required swim caps for use of the pool which I found rather unnecessary. Gym staff was friendly too. I will stay here again given the chance.

Very nice modern hotel, friendly stuff, nice pool but too crowded in the weekend by parents with kids so it's impossible to have a swim, great breakfast with nice services. My room was upgraded very easily because of the membership and I'm happy I had such a good stay. Very good connection with the subway, 30 minutes until the fish market at the pier. That's the hotel I will choose every time I'm in Kaoshung, best value for money and comfort!

The experience of the stay here was just phenomenal, seriously impressed all the way from the exterior to the services. I especially wanted to highlight the service I got from Daniel, he was by far the most considerate and detail-oriented hotel worker I've ever met. He planned everything perfectly for me that fit my packed schedule. Thank you Daniel, you're awesome!

Highly recommend this hotel if you visit Kaohsiung. The welcome team sent a nice email to help me prepare for my stay, assisting with things like a baby bathtub, extra pillows, etc. The hotel is gorgeous, very modern, and stylish. Location is very convenient with a couple shopping malls the in area. Upon arrival, the staff had everything ready for us. The front lobby staff was excellent. They saw my in-laws arrived with us to help with luggage and gave them vouchers for drinks as well. The room was gorgeous! All the rooms had great views of the city which were especially beautiful at night. The bedroom and living room are equipped with a AI system that you can speak to change things like turning off the light, turning on music, which was fantastic. The bathroom was one of the nicest I have stayed in. Very spacious and design is amazing. My kids loved playing in the tub! We celebrated my daughter's 1 year old birthday and the staff was wonderful in sending her birthday cards, a cute gift, and a delicious cake. Overall, the staff made this stay the best memorable experience ever. We will certainly return here again.

We had lunch at the Japanese restaurant of the hotel. The interior design is pretty modern, nothing to do about Japan, at least for me. Probably it’s because it’s lunch in the weekdays, not too many customers. The service is pretty good. They recognized our IHG membership and give us discount and welcome points. The food was also great, however the beef was better than fried chicken. They should had a paper or something to prevent the chicken from absorbing the sauce for salads.

Highly recommend this fabulous hotel, not only for it all brand new equipment but the service are so warming. Especially the gym’ bathroom with Dyson hair drier and TOTO washlet this is hard to see in other hotel. The breakfast we’re providing so fast that I had not return to seat and the meal already arrived.

5 star hotel but still charging 80NT for Coke Cola in room mini-fridge. Lounge bar drinks last order at 23:00. No hand-towels near toilet sink. Positively, they have a Tesla charger! 👍 Overall, the rooms are not bad. It's nice to try it out. But some of the management choices just don't make sense.

Nicely designed, honestly the reason with a 4 star review is because of the staff who named 李維。 Nicely trained with absolutely perfect attitude and passion towards helping customers understand local destinations, which has been a huge help for me. In contrast, the receptionists are absolutely blizzard! I needed to understand the basic benefits of becoming member of the intercontinental club, however I got terrible responses and arrogant attitude. Anyway the 4 stars goes to 李維!

Room was great. But the experience of checking in was bad. I booked the room for my family member with my IHG annual free night after I confirmed with customer service in the phone call that it will be okay if I am not accompanying with family. And customer service also asked my family member's name and ID number for check in purpose on this booking. However, in the process of checking in my family was told it is not allowed to check in if I am not there. What? After discussion with manager, you finally let my family check in but said only let us do it this time. I feel like I was doing a wrong thing and begging for a room. Actually, if customer service said it isn't allowed to do this due to policy at beginning while I made the call, then we don't have to experience this for both of us.

It was an absolute pleasure staying at the Intercontinental Kaohsiung. Everything from staff service to the room size/layout/cleanliness was spot on. We were even allowed early check-in at noon, which was a welcome surprise. Would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.

We stayed at the InterContinental Kaohsiung for two nights at the end of a long road-trip along the east coast. We loved the 5-star experience from check-in to check-out. It really made a strong impression on our family, especially after some questionable experiences at several B&Bs on our trip. Parking in the hotel is complementary when you are a hotel guest. Wish we had known that and kept our car during our stay in Kaohsiung. The in-room Nespresso was also a pleasant surprise for those of us used to espressos and not drip coffee.

It was a very enjoyable experience to stay ICH for two nights, there is nothing to complain about during my stay. There are only few clients check in so I drive in and out quite often without any verification. Enjoy the swimming and jacuzzi after my golf game. Special thanks to Sheryl, concierge, who actively share information of dining or local tour. Her hospitality is the great value of ICH. Highly recommended!!! Already booked another 4 nights next month.

Beautiful hotel, convenient location and excellent customer service. Top notch items used in the room (I e., Dyson hair dryer, etc). Would come back again and recommend to anyone coming to Kaohsiung. Notes: Unfortunately, it does not have a SPA service. The light show on the 5th floor's Japanese restaurant is an added bonus.

Several staff members at Front Desk and Club Floor Desk need to be acknowledged. Tina at Front Desk is just so friendly and courteous. I’ve seen her on both occasions and she is a delight. As for the Club Floor, Sylvia, Felix, and Kevin provided the upmost of professionalism and elegance that are needed for a Club. I appreciate their thoughtfulness. This was my second stay at this location and Service is excellent. Professionalism at its best. I want to visit again as soon as possible. Thank you to everyone!

Rooms are great-designed with innovative equipment, staffs are well-trained with great command of appropriate language, cuisine such as cake in the bakery follows French conventional ways, I love their opera cake and I would like to try their Paris-Brest for my next visit. Even though some hardware problems need to be fixed, all staffs are eager to improve themselves through inviting customers to share their feedbacks. In addition, staffs also shared their recommendations in both executive lounge and restaurant. Chef explained why and how the cuisines are made and eager to meet customer’s expectations, which is rarely seen during the era that most hotels are reducing their costs.
