Amreli
Steels,
Pakistan’s
largest
selling
brand
of
steel
bars
created
the
“City
of
Jinnah”
Monument
near
Dolmen
Mall,
Clifton,
Karachi.
The
monument
features
4
portraits
of
the
Father
of
the
Nation,
Muhammad
Ali
Jinnah,
which
have
been
made
with
Amreli
Steels'
product
-
steel
bars.
The
monument
was
inaugurated
by
the
Honorable
Deputy
Chairman
Senate
of
Pakistan,
Mr.
Saleem
Mandviwala.
Speaking
on
the
occasion,
Mr.
Abbas
Akberali
said
“Amreli
Steels’
corporate
manifesto
has
always
included
a
consciousness
of
the
environment
in
which
it
operates.
With
the
company
headquarters
and
majority
of
our
stakeholders
associated
with
the
city
of
Karachi,
we
believe
it
is
our
duty
to
contribute
to
this
city
in
some
small
way.
In
order
to
achieve
this
we
decided
to
construct
‘The
City
of
Jinnah
monument’
as
a
gift
from
Amreli
Steels
to
the
city
of
Karachi.
Since
Jinnah
was
born
in
Karachi
and
resided
here
after
partition
as
well,
Karachi
is
also
known
as
the
‘City
of
Jinnah’.
In
a
city
where
buildings
touch
the
sky,
it
is
a
reminder
to
the
public
on
the
importance
of
solid
foundations.”
“The
monument
is
based
on
industrial
art
in
which
Amreli
Steel’s
rebars
have
been
creatively
used
to
recreate
the
image
of
Mohammad
Ali
Jinnah.
It
is
no
coincidence
that
Jinnah,
the
founder
of
the
nation,
also
had
a
steely
resolve
about
life
and
a
resilience
that
kept
him
going
despite
the
many
obstacles
he
faced
before
he
could
achieve
his
goal
of
a
separate
nation.
This
belief
and
mantra
is
perfectly
encapsulated
in
his
famous
quote
“With
faith,
discipline
and
selfless
devotion
to
duty,
there
is
nothing
worthwhile
that
you
cannot
achieve”.
“The
purpose
of
it
is
to
celebrate
the
city
of
Jinnah
and
to
beautify
its
landscape.
Our
earnest
objective
is
to
honor
the
legacy
of
Jinnah,
the
man
who
laid
the
foundations
of
our
country.
We
hope
that
this
monument
becomes
a
welcome
attraction
in
the
lives
of
the
people
who
pass
by,
reminding
them
of
Jinnah’s
mission
and
his
dream.
The
monument
will
be
highlighted
at
night
by
creatively
using
light
projections
of
different
colors
so
it
will
be
beautiful
by
both
day
and
night.
We
plan
to
continue
our
quest
to
give
back
to
the
city
of
Karachi
in
the
future
by
adding
to
its
culture
and
preserving
its
heritage.”
