Mind blowing, fall of the bone meat) Cold mezze Platter: 6.5/10 Pasha kabab: 9/10 Turkish Kabab: 7/10 Kunafa: 9/10 (one of the finest in the city) Ayran drink (Sweet): 9/10 (Very rich and milky drink similar to lassi. The vessel its served in is quite aesthetic) Service is quite slow and waiting times are long especially during evenings. Be prepared to wait a lot and order dessert when your main course arrives)

So we reached there on Saturday night by 9 pm (I called them for reservation on Friday but they informed that the restaurant doesn't make reservations for Saturday n Sunday)and then we had to wait for 1 hour n 45 minutes for indoor dine-in. When we dined-in and placed an order, waiter informed that order would take 1 hour to be served. Order served at 11:50 pm (i.e. after 1 hour of ordering). We ordered ALA SOFRA MINI, AAZRI KABAB, FOOTLONG KABAB, STRAWBERRY πŸ“ MOJITO, WILD LADY, MINT COLADA, BASBOOSAH & KUNAFAH. Point are as follows: Food Taste - 10/10 (No Doubt) Ambiance - 8/10 (Indoor is conjested & outdoor is not recommended at all) Service - 6/10 (First and the foremost, waiting time of more than 2 hours n 45 minutes from arriving at restaurant till the order is served was too much irrittating. Then, after main course, we ordered dessert and that too took more than 30 minutes to be served) Note: There is only one toilet in the restaurant and that is also common (male n female) and for that you have to stand in a cue as well.

Wonderful restaurant great taste, superb environment and ambiance. Ample parking with valet service, friendly staff, nice clean and hygienic environment. The only thing is that there is a waiting time approx. 1-1.5 hr. Most of all the food is absolutely delicious for which the wait was worth it.

Excellent food, very near to the authentic MiddleEastern/Turkish cuisine. Good ambiance and service. Will definitely recommend. They have huge portions for every order. Uncle at GF counters is humble and down to earth.

The best kunnafa in karachi, Creamiest and softest I've ever had. The chicken wings were out of this world, and the Mutton ribs were sooo good. The kofta were delicious but i think it needed some hardness, too soft. Overall, one of the best experiences.

Great place for team lunch! And other lunches or dinners too :-) The Manager Mr. Javed and his team are courteous, helpful and polite. Our server was Zaman. Food was gorgeous to look at and tasted phenomenal. It's not pricey if compared to similar eateries and if you look at the serving sizes. Kunafa takes prep time so order at least 30 minutes before. Food also takes some prep time because everything is done fresh. We had seafood, bar b q, hummus, fattoush and mutton. Great food experience, will go again.

It's a good place for Turkish food. Food was tasty. We're 4 adults so we ordered only 'Ala Sofra' and Hummus. Quantity of food was good enough for 4 persons. There was place for floor sitting, we availed that place instead of sitting on chairs. Overall setup and ambiance was good. Old Turkish theme was applied which was visible from choice of crookery etc. Overall presentation of food was good. Although, the place was a bit congested. I saw few families were waiting for their turn. Even inside chairs were placed so close to each other. Due to less place, it was noisy. Overall I'll recommend visit at Ala Rahi.

Visited the place with foreign friends. I had to make an effort and come early at 7 pm to get a table. May Allah give more bounties to owners and staff. Now my review about the place and restaurant. Restaurant dΓ©cor was nice and comfy. However, I happen to go to washroom and kitchen was visible from there, photograph attached. We ordered following: Aatish Laham - tender meat but cold on top of cold rice. It was nothing like the picture on the menu. It was tender, dry and cold. Can’t exactly say when was it cooked during the day. Their signature dish served badly. ⭐️ ⭐️ Pasha Kebab - disappointment. I like Turkish kebabs, but again they were dry, and tasteless. ⭐️ Hummus - excellent ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Namkeen Gosht - was the best ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Kunafe – There could have been more cheese but was excellent ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Good service but their signature dish should had been served fresh and Pasha Kebabs should have been juicy and no red chilies. Probably will visit again, when next in Karachi, but this time will let them know of my expectations.

A must try place. Top quality food made with quality ingredients with a good taste. Offers Arabic, Lebanese and Turkish taste. Meat lovers place. It's a high price restaurant. Atish laham serves with a style full covered with fire. Overall taste is good. Service is very good.

Excellent food. Service is good they have limited space. Distance between chairs are too narrow. Presentation of food is extra ordinary taste is good but not exceptional. They have separate wash rooms for male and female. Stairs to reach basement and first floor. Not suitable for elderly people. Most irritating thing No space of waiting area inside restaurant you have to wait outside. Although restaurant provides plastic chairs to wait but Street crime in the area is big thereat for visitors. Valet parking is available

It was an exceptional experience to sit and enjoy food with family at Ala Rahi. The ambiance of the restaurant, quality of food was excellent and service was exceptional. I ordered "The Grand Ala Rahi Platter" and it came with different varieties of BBQ, rice,Turkish pizza, falafel and different types of chutnies. The platter was served with two types of rice which tasted good. Kunafeh and Bakhlaveh also tasted great. The kids loved the kit-kat shake. Overall a superb experience. Highly Recommended for families!

Very fresh flavour full food. Must go if you like turkish, labnese and arabic kababoobies and dishes. Will love it surely. Nice staff guides you what to order and how much to order. If you tell them a budget they will suggest you accordingly. Ambaince is beautiful but due to their popularity, place remains crowded and little noisy. But it doesnt matter if you are going with your friends and family and having great chit chat. Little expensive but value for money. Recommend to do reservation before you go a day before.

Best place for authentic Arabian and Turkish cusines. Visited for dinner and ordered their Ala Sofra platter which was more than enough for 4 people. In starters, we ordered Grilled Wings and Turkish Kabab Wraps. And the meal was finished with delicious Kunafa. Overall experience of food was 9/10. Spices in Platter were mild. But service and ambiance is 10/10. But this place is heavy on pocket. Total bill for all of these for 4 people was almost 13k πŸ˜…

If you want to have Turkish, Afghani or Lebanese delicacies, Ala Rahi is the place for you. We tried the following: Dajjaj Manakesh (sort of pizza with minced chicken) Afghani special platter Pasha Kabab Turkish Kuzu Cheese steak Salty Ayran Food taste overall was 7.5 out of 10. One who is extremely fond of Varieties of kababs on rice they should try Ala sofra ( a platter of kababs on rice), we went for Afghani platter for the love of Mutton chops, kababs, boti etc on rice. Kuzu cheese steak is for people who love mutton. Its mutton minced steak with cheese filled inside. Nothing very flavorful but unique of course. Pasha Kabab for people who love Chicken kababs. The downside is service is slow as at a time they are serving nearly 250 people . Best time is to reach by 730 to 8pm. Sitting , ordering eating and bill paying will take around 2 to 2.5 hours easily. Bill of above mentioned dishes with 1 salty Ayran, 1 sweet Ayran and 1 blue colada costed PKR 9,000. Its a costly experience but totally worthwhile. My overall rating 7.5/10

Perhaps the best restaurant for the turkish dishes. Their dine in is open at this date as well as dine out. Good ambiance. We ordered: Cream of chicken mashroom soup, nice creamy and slight mashroom flavour with chicken mince. Stuffed Chicken Potato, there were two of them with stuffed chicken mince and they served with sauce. Atish Dajjaj, their signature dish, up to the mark. Saaray pesey aag ke shashkay ke hain. Lebanese mutton boti, most delicious item but size of skewers was very less in this price. Mishkak Khubs Pilaf, another signature dish with outstanding taste. One important thing for others to keep in mind that they have written the servings and portion sizes honestly unlike other restaurants and their portion size is good, although the meat portion needs slight improvement.

Ambiance is very good and excellent restaurant for families and couples, they have indoor as well as outdoor sitting. Indoor is amazing area, even they have a floor sitting option like turkish culture as well. Food menu had a lot of variey, we were two persons and ordered Dajaj Pulao and Atish Laham Pulao, even the waiter told us that it will be too much, but we ordered. They really gave a lot of portion so we packed the remaining food and brought it home. Overall a very great experience and will go again and again.

Been waiting to have meal from ala rahi for a long time due to the positive reviews about it. And it was literally worth it. From the quality of food to the quality of their services. Everything was up to the mark. Worth the money. A must go place for foodies. People with less appetite won't be able to take the full advantage.

LOVED IT!! We ordered ala manti, Moroccan kabab, kunafeh and Turkish lassi. Everything was simply AMAZING!! The staff was friendly, professional and very responsive. The portion size was adequate and fulfilling. Moroccan kabab, ala manti and kunafeh were extremely flavorful. Turkish lassi was similar to our traditional lassi, and that too tasted very good. Would recommend this to everyone who loves Mediterranean cuisine. Would love to go back there and try other dishes as well! The ambiance was really nice and cosy. Overall had an excellent experience!

I visited Ala rahi restaurant for the second time. The first time was during the covid pandemic, when they had an outdoor seating option and a reduced indoor capacity. This time, I did not have to wait for a table and I noticed that they had expanded their space. The restaurant had a nice lighting and atmosphere. For appetizers, we ordered the creamy chicken mushroom soup, but we did not enjoy it much. It was too creamy and lacked mushroom or chicken pieces. The main courses, however, were delicious as before. We ordered ala sofra mini and mutton shank mini. The portions were generous, but the prices were higher than before. The service was exceptional, especially the way they presented the food to us. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a Mediterranean dining experience.

Amazingly tasty and great food. A must try dish is the mutton shank which is served with bread on top of the handi. The mutton is so soft and tender. You will not find something like this in entire Karachi. The ambiance is nice and comfortable with good service. The wait can be longer during weekends and rush hours. They have valet parking as well.

Ala Rahi is purely new style to present food in Turkish style. Very calm and clean environment, staff is supportive. We ordered platter which was filled with Kabaabs, Ribs, Tilka and Flalafil. The lamb ribs was with smell in it which we didn’t like but overall good experience on food and drinks side. Prices are normal not much high side.

You can tell about the reputation of a restaurant from the crowd and the waiting line, as we waited for 30 minutes or so, we got a nice table and the food served was just perfect, not too salty, not together spicy, cooked perfectly. 5/5 for service 5/5 for ambiance and a solid 5/5 for food.

Nice place to have a meal with family and friends. Food is delicious, atmosphere is pretty good except at the basement. There is some weird smell and they keep on spraying air freshener to make the place sit able. As far as food is concerned, their BBQ is really good along with their tandoor items.

The food was very good. But i guess they can improve their taste a bit more.(this doesn't mean that it was bad in taste, i would rate it 4/5). The quantity was really good, 5/5 for that. If you want to take someone out for a cooperate dine in or you wana go on a date. This place has to be on your list. Their presentation is a wow factor, the way they present "atish dajjad" on fire in front of you is really cool.

Heard of this place online and thought of trying it out. In line with all karachi restaurants, no reservations are taken on weekends and it is first come first serve. Reached at around 9:30 pm and there was a waiting list. Valet parking is available but there is not alot of proper parking space. After a wait of about 40 mins, we were shown to our table. There is no seating on ground floor. It's either in the basement or on the first floor. After being seated, the staff was courteous to answer all our questions regarding dishes in detail. We ordered Turkish salad, pasha kebab, brick fried chicken and ezme chicken. Order was served after 40 mins and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. The taste of pasha kebab was authentic. Brick fried chicken served with Afghani pulao was very tasty though it did lack the mewas as usually found in afghani pulao. I really liked its taste. Ezme chicken was a little spicy. Seemed that it had a little karachi touch to it. The serving size was humongous. Loved everything about the restaurant. Will definitely visit again and will also recommend it to others.

Ala Rahi serves mainly middle Eastern cuisine. This was the second time visiting this place. They really to work on their seating arrangements. It's mostly for large families and groups and a group of four or less will have to wait for longer hours to get a table. We ordered the Hummus which was right on point. Chicken Mantil Handi which was the highlight of the meal. The laham khubus Khikaf was quite average and tasted like a much spicier version of kabli pulao. Also ordered Afghani boti which was just alright. Also It is a bit on the pricier side and per head would come up to 1800 without dessert.

Yesterday I was craving for some Turkish and arabic food, decided to order Aatish Dajjaj from Ala Rahi and to my surprise it turned out to be an amazing decision.😍 Rich in flavour full of dry fruits and carrots giving the perfect turkish touch. Its like my new favorite and alternate to mandi, it was so filling that me and 2 of my siblings were full by the time we got done with it. Keeping the virus in mind the packaging was good as well as it came with this clay pot covered in foil so full points for hygiene.πŸ˜ƒ Highly Recommend! Price: Rs 1895 Serves: 3-4

Let's start with a very peaceful ambiance they have with a very nice interior comfortable seats but a small table. The service is very quick and the waiters are polite. Let's talk about food. We ordered Turkish wraps and humus as starters. The wraps taste too good with the sauce they provided but humus disappointed me, I ordered it because it has good reviews. The complimentary pita bread with hummus is cold maybe that is the reason for disappointment. Pasha kabab is so tender and the chutneys enhance their taste more. Laham khubus pilaf(Afghani pilau with 2 pieces of chicken in khubus) has a traditional delicious taste of Afghani pilau. For drinks, we ordered Peach surprise and Red punch, they are so refreshing and soothing in this hot weather. It was 4.5 actually, just because of the small table and cold pita bread. Overall, it was a good experience. People who love middle eastern foods should try this one. You won't regret it.

Ala Rahi! As an option for dine out, it's good, seeing size is quire sufficient. Food requires little improvement in terms of true feel and taste, dishes seems like not not finished or missed something. Kunafah is heavy with loads of cheese/pudding. Card payment accepted here, parking may or may not be big issue.

I wish we get to visit your restaurant again when things get better ! 🀟🏼 Surely gonna order this for dinner again.

I have had better experience with Ala Rahi before, but this time found it just at par. Falafel were not fresh, seemed like they were frozen for a long time and bland in taste. Chicken strips were piping hot and good. As for the main course, chicken mantil handi was more like white chicken handi, no Turkish flavor at all. Labenese platter was fine in taste but I've had it much better before. All in all, it kinda disappointed me this time. Oh and yes, they mentioned card discount of hbl when asked before over their fb page, but clearly denied at the time of payment and just offered a bare discount of 10% at meezan card. So that's another mi-representation from their end.

Omg!! I just loved the food here.. I had an amazing experience. Staff was very helpful and cooperative, they properly guided us regarding the menu selection and what the taste would be like. Food quality was outstanding and taste was havenly.. Cost wise it's on a higher end, and ambiance is 8/10. Menu is with pictures I think they knew that majority of people would have difficulty to comprehend what the dish will look like, which is a smart move on their part. Appreciated. Do give a try.

Good food but very overhyped. Very few items available from menu. Almost every main item is not available. We ordered their signature platter, Kabab Masala and Mantil Handi. BBQ platter was just ok. Nothing Special. Kabab masala has very different taste and Mantil handi was also good. Overall experience was just ok compare to the prices. 7/10

Pethatic slow service. We waited to be seated for 1 hour and then again waited for another hour for food although we ordered during the waiting. Food was good. We ordered mutton Pilaf and kebab platter Pilaf was delicious and kebab were good to but to get served at 1130 when you arrive at 930 was just brutal

Food Taste is Good....but serving little slow

  • 3/5 Usama Z. 2 years ago on Google
The platter was Okay.. the ambiance is nice. I always believe that if you have a very different kind of serving or something that makes you stand out from others (like this roti covered platter) than that's for the first time only.. the second time I would go for the taste only.. the taste was just fine.. i wouldnt spend so much money to have some ordinary tasting kebabs..

Had Taouk Shorba, Hummus with pita and Ala Sofra. The soup suited the chilly December night, and was decent. The hummus could have been better - the pitas were amazing. Ala Sofra was the highlight, flavours on point. Should have some sort of hot beverages on the menu though.

Due to covid setup arranged as outdoor dining. Nice atmosphere plus professional polite staff. Taste was awsome, it's was like Dil Mange More lolz. What is Ala Rahi ? Ala Rahi is a fusion of cuisines with taste that matches our level.they have an elaborate variety of Lebanese, Arabic and Turkish dishes that we love across borders. Authentic and unique taste is what we aim for.

It was an average to good experience overall. Taste was good as well but not so cost efficient. They should upgrade their dine in ambience to catch up to the prices on their menu. I enjoyed the dajjaj khubus pilaf because I'm a simple spiced pullao fan but many people would find it rather mild in flavor. The sauces were like my mum's handmade sauces for khichdi, hehe. So I liked eating the pilaf rice with the sauces. Loved the chilled Ayran! Refreshing. Humus was great as always.

Had to wait one hour for indoor dinning and another 45 minutes after placing an order. We went there on Monday so not sure what happens at the weekends. They also offer outdoor dinning at the adjacent plot but we insisted on indoor dinning. At the moment other floors are under construction so they are short on indoor dinning space. Tried Ala Sofra platter and it was OK but they should discontinue Kunafa totally!

Service is way too slow, it took them 40 minutes to bring starters. Rest I didn't order anything as it was already 40 minutes after ordering only starters(a main course will usually take time so people order but if starters are going on time and taking time to get prepared then I am not sure how long a main course will take?). When you are starving and food is late then you just don't want it anymore. The hype about Ala Rahi was just hype. Food is not that great. It was average. Chocolate Kunafe was good. This is a place for deserts. A full meal is not recommended.

The food was okay but not amazing. Service, however, was really slow and in terms of cleanliness there was also a fly buzzing around our food even though it was a completely closed air conditioned space. Overall probably would not go again.

A common man’s review on: Ala Rahi Turkish & Middle Eastern Cuisine Located at Shahbaz Commercial DHA Karachi Suggested a group of friends (especially for hummus and kunafa) Dinner on 14th May 2023 Walk-in at 730pm but got lucky as we saw a big waiting line when we left around 930pm Served by Sujjawal, who not only ensured amazing service but suggested a practical order observing our table with kids Hummus - the perfect blend we’ve been searching for - kids loved it! Cheese Manakesh - more like the Turkish version of a pizza, not spicy and thinly crusted with minced meat on top dwelled in cheese - everyone enjoyed it! Dajaj Khubus Pilaf - inspired by the Turkish style of presentation (we could only think of czn burak here) of having it covered in a big piece of think bread (naan) as they cut it through in front of you as you tend to dive into it enjoying the kabuli-turkish pulao with nuts & raisins and lots of meat. It says serves 1-2 but with us it could have served the 3rd person too. Kunafa - the finale to our beautiful dine out had to be this; perfectly baked with the ingredients just placed right, to not make it so sweet like others do - happily ate till the last crumb of it! Overall experience is excellent, will definitely go again to try the other specialities and mocktails (missed it on this trip) - happily recommended! Oh and our bill was under 5k and the restaurant has its own valet service too!

It's authentic Turkish food with flavor our Pakistani spices. Amazing quality of Meat. If youre into Mutton Rosh & Mutton Dishes, they have the best of everything. The khubz served as roti is very soft and light. I've been here multiple times and I bet you'll be hooked as well

  • 2/5 Ammar S. 6 months ago on Google
Ordered the Grand Platter and the amount of meat was disproportionate according to the rice, the chicken tasted rancid and felt at least 3-4 days old, the kebabs and rice were decent, the rosh we ordered was devoid of any salt or other flavoring, the mutton still smelled like it was raw even though it was cooked through, the stuffed chicken potatoes had a pinch of chicken and flavoring in the center, once again very disproportionate to the size of the whole potato, we were offered 2 complimentary kunafas on a 25k bill which was a nice gesture but they were very different from the paid ones I've had before and felt very rushed, the drinks were good but could definitely be colder. The tahini and kachumar salad were amazing but the portion sizes were miniscule. Hummus tasted like raw chickpeas all the way and was not even properly blended as it had olive oil floating at the top. The service and staff were very kind and eager to help. Would definitely not recommend anything I had except the kebabs, rice, kunafah & drinks. The potatoes have potential if done better.
