Bagh Ibn-E-Qasim is one of the biggest in Pakistan and undoubtedly stunning, offering a range of amenities managed by the park authorities. I have visited multiple times, but one visit that stands out in my memory is the meetup organized by American Blogger Drew Binsky. It was a fantastic experience with hundreds of people, including the Mayor of Karachi, coming together for a wonderful video. I never saw such beautiful flowers in any other park of Karachi yet. While the park has ♿accessible ramps from the Seaview side, I noticed that entering from the Bahria Icon side can be challenging for individuals with different abilities. It would be beneficial if the park management considers improving accessibility from that entrance.

Beautiful park, full of potential but deserted and has no attractions or facilities. This park seems like a relic from a lost era, parts of its structure are atleast 100 years old, and some parts are broken and unmaintained, the grass is well maintained, there is no modern activity such as children play areas, excersize or fitness groups etc, and it seems no body comes here, its suspended in time. You can come here and think about the past and the future, and hope for a better tomorow and return from here with mixed feelings on how this place could have been, had there been better governments here...

The park encompasses what was previously known as the Rupchand Bilaram Park, which was almost 400 acres (160 ha) in size. In 1964, the park's size was reduced to 132 acres after the Karachi Municipal Corporation leased out land for development. In 1966, the Karachi Development Authority assumed control of the park, and in 1974 renovated several structures in the park. A sea wall to the east was made at this time, which lead to the coastline retreating further from the southern edge of the park. The Jehangir Kothari Parade, Katrak Bandstand, Lady Lloyd Pier, and the 2 fountains were protected in 1994 by the Sindh Cultural Heritage Preservation Act. In the years afterwards the area fell into gradual decay as successive governments neglected to maintain the site, and by 2001 was barren and considered a "virtual wasteland." Construction on the new park began on 22 July 2005. The park was ceremonially opened by then President Pervez Musharraf on 27 February 2007 at a cost of PKR 600 million, and renamed after the 8th century Arab conqueror, Muhammad Bin Qasim of the Ummayad empire. The park quickly gained popularity and became a venue for different events. By 2015, the park again began to fall into decay due to lack of maintenance. A large 3-level intersection on Shahrah-e-Firdousi, as well as the allegedly illegal seizing of land for the 62-floor Bahria Icon Tower further deteriorated the park's environment. In April 2017, the park again was renovated by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, and the park was re-opened by Prime Minister Imran Khan on 30 March 2019. In October 2019, the park hosted the opening of the Karachi Biennale.

Went there on 25 August 2021, and in my opinion it's fairly maintained but the sad thing is that it's only mainly planted of the conocarpus genus, whereas there are other trees that can thrive in that soil and environment which are also birds friendly trees. But what can I do? Alas

Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim is the great combination of the old and new architecture. The control of this building is with the rangers. No security issues. But this park is not open for whole day. The timings are from 8 to 11 and the after 4 PM. To 9 PM. This park is highly maintained from the authorities. If you are unable to walk then you need to enter this park from the bahria icon tower side. It's a great site for watching lights in the evening. But if you want to get pictures its batter to go early in the morning

The Bagh Ibne Qasim was inaugurated by President Pervez Musharraf on February 27 and 2007 and is Pakistan's biggest park constructed under Clifton Beach Development Project on 130 acres (0.53 square km) of land. The old Toyland Theme Park has demolished and Bagh Ibne Qasim was built in its place. The park cost PKR 600 million and has been completed in 300 working days. More than 10 million people visited the park per year. Is also the largest family park in South Asia. This park was named as Bagh Ibne Qasim in memory of the 8th century Muslim conqueror Muhammad Bin Qasim.

Needs maintenance a bit. Boundary walls are broken from some places, and street dogs wandering inside. When not crowded it's a good place for kids to do cycling. Good parking space available.

The park was very big. There were wild dogs all around the park, inside as well. The place was heavily polluted. There were full kachra kundis under the walkway. The place is for families on Friday, Saturday and Sunday so I was allowed alone into the park on Sunday after a lot of talking.

The park I visited was truly astonishing! It had lush green grass, towering trees, and a variety of vibrant flowers. There were plenty of benches to sit on while admiring the scenery or taking in some fresh air. The pathways were well-maintained and easy to navigate. Overall, it was an incredibly peaceful and beautiful place that I would highly recommend visiting if you're ever in the area!

I love this place because every side is green. Certainly! Here are some additional benefits of visiting a garden at least once a week: 1. **Improved Mental Health:** Spending time in a garden can reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. The serene environment, fresh air, and natural beauty contribute to a sense of calm and well-being. 2. **Enhanced Creativity:** Gardens can inspire creativity and stimulate the imagination. The colors, shapes, and textures of plants and flowers can spark new ideas and creative thinking. 3. **Boosted Immune System:** Exposure to natural elements in a garden, such as sunlight and fresh air, can strengthen the immune system and promote overall health. 4. **Mindfulness and Meditation:** Gardens provide a peaceful setting for practicing mindfulness and meditation. The sensory experiences in a garden help individuals become more present and focused. 5. **Cognitive Benefits:** Regular visits to a garden have been linked to improved concentration, memory, and cognitive function. The sensory input from nature can rejuvenate the mind. 6. **Vitamin D Intake:** Spending time outdoors in a garden exposes you to sunlight, which is a natural source of vitamin D. Vitamin D is essential for bone health, immune function, and mood regulation. 7. **Reduced Blood Pressure:** The tranquility of a garden setting can lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of cardiovascular issues. The relaxation response triggered by nature positively impacts heart health. 8. **Connection with Seasons:** Visiting a garden throughout the year allows you to witness the changing seasons and connect with the natural cycles of life, promoting a sense of harmony with nature. 9. **Environmental Awareness:** Gardens offer an opportunity to learn about different plant species and ecosystems, fostering a greater appreciation for the environment and encouraging sustainable practices. 10. **Escape from Urban Life:** Gardens provide an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, allowing you to disconnect from the noise and chaos and reconnect with nature. 11. **Family and Social Bonding:** Gardens can be great places for families and friends to spend quality time together. Whether it's a picnic, a leisurely stroll, or a group activity, gardens facilitate bonding. 12. **Physical Exercise:** Walking or engaging in light activities in a garden contributes to physical fitness and helps maintain a healthy lifestyle. Remember, the benefits of visiting a garden can vary from person to person, but the overall positive impact on well-being is well-documented.

A beautiful place aligned with the cliffton beach. Irony is no responsible in the govenment pays attention to make it an attractive park. With the plantation of different kind of trees can transform this park to a major tourist attraction. This park awaits visitors. Lay Lloys pier is barren and so is the aquarium which once used to be a best place to witness the sea world.

The best park in Karachi Clifton! Lots of plants and real green grass. Bike trails and running trails through the entire park. A large space of entertainment for everyone. Cafes nearby and the atmosphere of Central Park. It is convenient to get by walking (or by bike) from the nearest buildings of the Karachi residences, many trails and pedestrian crossings. 3 large parking areas for cars.

I visited in October 2023, for a one hour walk/jog. Part of the park are well lit with tracks. But about half the park felt a little too dark and unkept to visit after maghrib. Definitely worth a visit and give the huge size, even half the park is good enough for most activities. Parking was safe and easily available.
