Ok
The
5
stars
are
for
the
beauty
of
the
lake.
It's
very
pretty
and
serene.
The
calm,
lovely
lake
literally
takes
all
your
stress
away
as
soon
as
you
get
there.
The
layout
of
the
STDC
resort
also
merits
5
stars
The
restaurant
on-site
is
run
as
a
private
business
rates
4
stars
for
convenience,
availability,
service
and
ambience.
I
personally
did
not
eat
there
but
all
2
&
a
half
dozen
of
my
family
members
did.
Modest
prices.
The
management
of
the
cottages
is
3
stars
(I
had
to
ask
for
the
bathrooms
to
have
soap
and
for
the
cottage
to
have
a
dustbin-
dustbins
are
apparently
not
placed
as
a
routine
as
I
found
that
a
previous
occupant
had
had
to
leave
a
very
tidily
wrapped
sanitary
napkin
inside
a
bottom
cabinet
of
the
kitchenette).
It
took
a
wait
of
a
few
minutes
for
the
soaps
and
15
minutes
for
the
dustbin.
We
had
rented
an
Executive
cottage
(12,000/night)
&
I
would
expect
soaps
&
dustbin
to
be
routine.
As
I
mentioned,
the
resort
is
well-planned;
the
lawns
are
well-maintained.
The
cottages
could
do
with
more
honest
tender
loving
care.
The
Executive
cottage
has
3
levels:
ground
floor
is
entrance
with
a
sad
sink
(no
soap)
and
a
single
Indian
toilet.
1st
floor
is
2
bedrooms
(a
single
&
a
double
bed)
a
large
pantry
(cooking
in
cottages
is
NOT
ALLOWED),
and
2
bathrooms
with
commodes.
The
basement
is
a
living
room
with
seating
for
around
10
people
and
2
tables
plus
another
bedroom
with
2
single
beds.
The
upstairs
has
a
balcony,
the
downstairs
opens
out
onto
a
spacious
patio
where
my
family
played
cricket
&
badminton.
The
bedroom
has
a
TV
&
air
conditiining,
the
bathroom
had
an
electric
water
heater
attached
to
a
handheld
(telephone)
shower
but
I
used
neither
so
I
don't
know
how
functiinal
they
are).
We
were
told
there
is
no
electricity
from
11am
to
3pm.
All
cottages
have
views
of
the
lake,
the
super
deluxe
open
directly
onto
the
gardens.
Cleanliness
by
the
admin
gets
2
stars
because
the
place
is
TEEMING
with
stray
dogs
and
local
villagers
who
beg.
There
is
no
guard
to
stop
anyone
straggling
in.
The
management
uses
really
poor
villagers
to
run
errands
for
guests
staying
at
the
cottages,
but
they
are
not
paid
&
not
given
any
STDC
uniform
or
jackets.
The
Sindh
government
should
do
a
much
better
job
of
maintaining
a
well-designed
facility
and
give
these
villagers
housekeeping
duties
at
the
resort
with
stipends
and
give
them
basic
training
in
the
hospitality
industry.
It
will
empower
them
economically
and
skillwise
and
open
up
better
employment
opportunities
for
them
in
other
STDC
outposts
as
well
as
cities.
Boats
are
available
for
hire
at
the
resort.
They
seat
8
to
15
people
&
are
priced
accordingly.
5
stars
for
this
activity
too,
though
rowboats
should
also
be
provided.
It
is
important
for
tourism
to
benefit
the
local
community.
The
Sindh
government
should
devise
ways
to
involve
the
local
villagers
by
training
and
employing
them
as
housekeeping,
as
local
guides
who
can
take
guests
on
a
guided
tour
around
the
area
and
guides
who
can
inform
about
local
history
and
local
wildlife
(
I
saw
a
cute
yellow
breasted
warbler
bird
as
soon
as
we
parked
at
10.30
am).
Much
can
be
done
with
a
little
earnest
interest
and
honesty.
