Good atmosphere, delicious shawrma,, best green tea served with honey and lemon. In winters, they also place coal heaters around you which makes atmosphere lovely and cold sea breeze bearable. Have been there multiple times and never disappointed with quality and taste. Highly recommended.

I've been going to Damascus since like forever. It's a great place to have street food at reasonable rates and interesting ambiance. It was the place that started the Shisha revolution back in the day. And yet it has survived the Sheesha witch hunt. It's forte has been the sprawling parking lot where they put up the tables and chairs. And the Pakistan-esque taste shawarma and accessories. But be warned. Don't try the recently introduced Turkish cuisine - Kafta and JoJo kebab. And some Turkish boti. I can assure you that would be the worst experience of your life. The kababs and boti just disintegrate in your mouth. Over-marinated. Just stick to the good old shawarma and furrouge and you'll be fine. Ambiance - 9/10 Value for Money - 8/10 Taste - 7/10

Since I wasn't so hungry, I decided to go for a light supper. Hence we headed to Damascus as we had heard good reviews about it. So it was fine. They served the shawarma hot wrapped nicely in a foil. I had ordered the original flavour so I found it a little bland. The sauce was yum. There were too many cucumber pieces in it.

One of the oldest and famous restaurant in Clifton area. Serving Arabic food.... Seating area in open air usually very crowded. Prices are ok and quantity as well. Famous item in menu. -Furrouge -Shawarma

Their grilled chicken platter is something you won’t get anywhere else in karachi, and very reasonably priced, as well. Perfect place for Arabic cuisine and I just love their hummus treat.

Visited Damascus after a long time, happy to see the improved ambiance, quality of food & service. The revival of the old sauces and spices reminded me of the golden days when Damascus was at its peak of splendour. The classic shwarma, pizza and furrouge was a true treat for the taste buds. Recommended for all Damascus lovers to revisit and relive the original Damascus experience that has returned once again. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to another visit with family and friends soon. The place have outdoor seating, so it is very suitable for the people who use ♿ wheel chairs. 👍👍

The best place to enjoy delicious Arabic cuisine with a fantastic ambiance! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and the aroma of authentic Middle Eastern flavors. The restaurant's elegant decor and cozy seating created a pleasant dining experience. The menu offered a wide range of mouthwatering dishes, and I couldn't resist trying their delectable hummus, juicy kebabs, and flavorful falafel. The attentive staff made sure every detail was taken care of, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving an exceptional Arabic dining experience in a delightful setting.

No one comes close to the delicious crust filled pizza. This pizza is the end of all pizzas cheese is so nostalgic words are not enough....crispy spicy furouge! come on forget the useless chargha and go for the furouge...and if you feeling like a real Arabic buff try the mufalfal it's the boiled white rice with shredded sautéed shawarma chicken...u name it and Damascus is the best. This place is MSG free food...same taste specific clientele and no disappointment. 2 thumbs up 5 stars all the way. Keep it up team Damascus. Shawarma is authentic Syrian style not these knock off shawarma every where with Chilli sauce and what not. I have been coming to his place since 1996 and this place has kept its game strong 💪 🙌 👏

Case study: Today i ordered a chicken showerma takeaway. They took like good 20 minutes Just talking with hardly any customers. Any way when they gave me the parcel and i was about to eat it . A waiter came and said sorry sir this is wrong order and he took the dish away. This impacted a negative impression on my choice for being a customer. I went back and told them that this is bad if you had made a mistake and i am not complaining then you cannot take the food away from my table. I asked them to return my payment and declined to have food at such low steam place. And they returned it rather then accepting their mistake and satisfy me as a customer.

Always a favourite chill out spot with family or friends. Dark, roadside dining, animals wandering is what should be expected. Their chicken platter is rlly good. Its Lebanese cuisine so expect the herbs flavour. Their fries are good but the dip served together is heavenly. Their pizza is also good. Always a pleasant experience when my taste buds don't want the usual desi or fast food-ish flavour.

Great place to enjoy the night breeze with some Lebanese food. Just to point out that it's good for a casual gtg. Don't expect a fine dining experience.

It is one of the oldest road side cafes in Karachi. Infant I would say they are the trendsetters. Their kahva and cheese shawarma are my favourites in their menu.

I have been visiting this place since 2001 and every time I have found the taste as inviting as it was first time. The farrouge platter is their speciality and I like how they do the chicken without much of spices. The blend of olive oil dipped in the special cream sauces wrapped in whole grain pita bread tickles your taste buds. Love the place and their uniqueness.

Falafil was not really tasty. Also, the lamb in shawarna Platter had smelled ( it was not cooked properly). The chicken pancake wS also ok. Other arabic restaurants have better taste than this

The most expensive Shawarma Platter in Karachi for Rs.2550/- tax included. Nothing wrong with the service and food quality, in fact the food was delicious the quantity was good still over the top pricing. Good outside sitting but too many mosquitoes, also no place to wash your hands. Coming back to the food yes the Shawarma Platter was very good but they should reconsider their sky high prices as I had similar taste and experience under Rs.1000/- No photos of the food because there was no enough lightings for better pictures.

Ordered delivery. Basic shawarmas, lamb, beef, vegetable, and falafel. They were nice enough, but needed a bit more “zing”. Service, from a delivery perspective was good, ordered on website, reconfirmed on WhatsApp, and received in less than an hour.

Continuing the legacy of Excellent and authentic Arabic food... Now also opened at Tariq Road. Chicken Furruoge (Spicy & Crispy) is the best and their shawarma is matchless 👍👍👍

  • 4/5 Khudeja H. 1 year ago on Google
The food was nice, the server intuitively knew what we would need fries for the four year old, extra pita etc which was really nice but the service was pretty slow considering it's a shawarma place and that it wasn't crowded.

Good doner style rolls & even better mutton shwarms. Full chicken Farooj is the BEST!!! BUT they should serve load of vegetables with platters! Very disappointing vegetable serving in term of a very few *QUANTITY only, no issue in quality

Damascus is situated in Clifton near schon circle now KPT underpass near ideas and kobab. This place is famous for Arabian cuisine and offers wide variety of delicious food. The prices are reasonable and serving size is good enough for any hungry stomach. However they do not have there own building or seating. Parking space is used .

I visited here coz it was a saviour for my time of need. Loved the hummus they make. Had to only drive through for a pick up. Accompanied with the bran pita breads they had, it was a meal in itself. 👌

Not the value for money. We ordered Pizza there. It was bland, tasteless. Shawarma Platter was also too ordinary. Seating place was nice, since the weather was nice, it was airy and pleasant

An institution that has been essential to the casual outdoor dining and sheesha (back in the day) for decades. I went there after years and ordered the same dishes we used to order more than 15 years ago. Everything was just as good as I remembered.

Love the taste of the food. Have enough parking, partition for families. Best Arabian taste in Karachi.

  • 2/5 Asad B. 7 months ago on Google
Went there and ordered a platter which costs around 2250 before taxes. The platter had hummus which didn't taste like chickpeas and garlic sauce that didn't taste like garlic. They were just sour for no reason. The bread was below average for a restaurant that claims to sell authentic Arabic food. And extra bread costs 350 for two pieces which they probably get for no more than 20 rupees a piece. The 3rd sauce was a pathetic attempt of either baba ganoush or Lebanese matabel I can't tell because it tasted like just eggplant curry. The service was below average as I ordered some peta bread after mine got finished because they only give you like 6 small pieces and those two peta breads took 20 mins to arrive by which time I was not in the mood to eat anymore. Also the bread plus two small sodas plus a fries costed me more than a thousand rupees for some reason

Extremely bad service arrogant attitude of waitors just coffee was available not whole menu .congested sitting 4_5 tables you even can't move a inch really bad experience. After 20 minutes waitors will tell you to leave the table as they have other customers 🙄

Food quality: The quality of the food is crucial in any restaurant review. Consider the taste, presentation, freshness, and portion sizes of the dishes. Was the cuisine authentic, and did it meet your expectations Service: Evaluate the level of service provided by the staff. Were they attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu? Did they accommodate any special requests or dietary restrictions? Prompt and efficient service contributes to a positive dining experience.
