I was going to give this place 4 stars but what they did to us on the last night was unbelievable. We couldn’t get on our flight at 2am in the morning, we returned to the hotel 2 hours later we had no other option we wanted to use the same room that we had already paid for but they said we could not. They charged us twice for the same night even though it was only for a few hours. The greed & downright lack of compassion for vulnerable tourists was extremely disappointing. The rooms are generally clean but we never had hot water in both rooms we used it was always cold, we mentioned this but nothing was done. In room wifi is also weak.

If you’re new to Karachi or need somewhere to stay look no further - this hotel has everything!! For a solo female traveller from England - I had an extremely pleasant stay and would love to come here again without a doubt! Modern, clean, and furnished to an exceptional standard! Couldn’t fault anything. From the politeness and hospitality of the hotel staff and how they go the extra mile just to look after their guests really shows up. A huge mention to Saqib Nazeer who was so down to earth, very knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure I was okay. You’ll feel completely safe, comfortable and assured a great sleep in such a lovely room, with all the amenities you could possibly ask for. If you stay at this hotel you’re guaranteed to have an amazing trip. It’s located in central Karachi, so you have access to all the nearby tourist places. The shopping mall is directly across the street - location wise it’s convenient and definitely cost-affective as it’s well within budget and worth your money. Don’t give this hotel a miss, it’s no less than PC or if not, then better!! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I’ll definitely be back again!

From the moment I stepped into Hotel Excelsior, I was met with a warmth that extended far beyond the Karachi sun. The rooms were immaculate, exuding an air of elegance and comfort. Crisp linens, plush furnishings, and thoughtful amenities created a haven of tranquility amidst the city's bustle. The service throughout the hotel was excellent. Every staff member, from the efficient housekeeping team to the front desk, went above and beyond to ensure a seamless and enjoyable stay. A special mention must be made of Mr. Salman, whose genuine hospitality and attentiveness made me feel right at home. He anticipated our needs before we even expressed them, arranging local excursions and offering insider tips like a friend showing their city. The cafe downstairs deserves its own applause. Delicious local and international fare, prepared with fresh ingredients and a touch of love. Each meal was a culinary journey, accompanied by the attentive service that became the hotel's hallmark.

I have listed out a few points for all those who are considering staying in this hotel Location: 5/5 - If you are someone who likes to stay in the heart of the city with all the hustling and bustling shops and food eatries, then you will love this place. A HUGE Plus point is that it is right opposite to Atirum Mall, which means all the brands (clothing & food) are in 2 minutes walking distance Safety: 5/5 - The hotel staff is very keen on meeting your safety needs as they wanted me to park my car right infront of their main gate so that their guards can keep a constant eye on it. Rooms: 1000/5 - You will love the room interiors as they took a very modern casual approach in their interior desiging. Cleanliness: 5/5 - From the hotel lobby to the first time when we checked in our rooms, everything was clean and tidy as one expects. Great location! The hotel inside is very clean and wellkept. Rooms have aircon and showers with plenty of hot water. Beds are comfy although duvets are too warm for the Karachi weather. Lighter material would be better. Also there was strong cigarette smell in one of the rooms, it took a couple of days for it to dissipate. Maybe installing smoke detectors would help. The housekeeping staff is absolutely amazing. Kept our rooms clean and well stocked at all times. They are very polite and friendly, Saima in particular on the 3rd floor. Sadly the same can't be said for the front desk staff, not very helpful or friendly. Which is such a shame because they are the face of the hotel. The complimentary breakfast has a decent selection from some curries to omelette and teas. Overall it was a pleasant experience and would highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at several good hotels in Karachi in the past. This one offers probably the best price-value ratio: extremely clean rooms, all well-equipped, noise-insulated, central location in Karachi’s city center, affordable rates. However, the rules and regulations at Hotel Excelsior Karachi are very conservative: I was asked by hotel staff to leave breakfast and change (because of my shorts), and outside guests (friends visiting) were not allowed either. “This is a family place”, was the reason several staff gave me - as if wearing gym shorts and welcoming friends would violate any family interests.

Best Hotel in Saddar. Right in the middle of the city with excellent links to major financial and commercial markets. The hotel has a modern interior and decent dine-in options too.

The most loved thing is staff behaviour...very cooperative especially Mr Javed from house keeping, Mr zeshan and ayyaz from attending staff at entrance and Mr Iqbal at reception.. Location is very good.. exceptionally clean...very calm due to double glazed windows and wood working on walls resulting in excellent sound proofing...not too much crowded... breakfast was good delicious but can be improved interms of options... Staff need trainings on hotel procedures...first day room maked-up, second day no dental kit and toiletries were refilled (may be they thought same will be used again) during my 3 days stay, shaving kit, shoe shiner, fruite basket, were provided on multiple requests and reminders which must automatically be restocked at room make-up.

My first time experience of staying in Hotel excelsior Karachi. Its a small but very good, clean and hygienic hotel. Rooms are clean and fresh, staff is highly humble and cooperative. Morning breakfast is good as compared to other hotels. A little pricy but worth staying. If you are travelling to khi for 2-3 days ,excelsior is the highly recommended hotel for you.

Looks so new, well maintained. So clean and hygiene. I was reluctant at staying here first, but trust me i made the right choice. I am enjoying my stay here. All Staff is amazing . So humble and welcoming. I think the girl at the breakfast desk deserves an appreciation, she will go out of the way to make you feel at home. A great addition to the mid-price range hotel market in Karachi which desperately needs more properties like this one. The lobby is welcoming and well maintained. Its covered in marble so even though its smaller in size, yet gives it a grand and executive look. Outer ambiance of the hotel is sleak too and entrance is simple enough. Being in old saddar though, there is no dedicated parking space and you park the car on the road in front of the hotel. There is vallet and security present to ensure your car's safety. Rooms feel new and come with all necessary amenities. Bed is super comfy and will ensure a good night sleep. Washrooms are very clean and though smaller in size, yet contain all necessities including shower gels, lotions etc. Rooms have individual split ACs installed so air conditioning is not through ducting. Hotel has 1 restaurant that serves from breakfast till dinner and closes service by 11:30 pm. So if you want to have a late snack, you will have to order from outside. Being in Saddar though, you are surrounded by great eateries so it wont be a problem. Buffet breakast in hotel was delicious with atleast 6-7 different dishes, mostly desi and is available till 10:30 am. Staff is humble, courteous and helpful. For PKR 16,000 plus tax (including breakfast) per night in current inflation, it is great value for money in my view. A simple, straight forward, clean hotel with all necessary items that you need at a very acceptable price.

I travelled from Riyadh for 8 days and stayed at the property with my parents in the suite. We had an extremely comfortable stay, the rooms were spacious (despite luggage), all amenities were available like a safebox, TV's, hi speed Wifi, iron board, refrigerator, tea coffee, toiletries, hangers in wardrobes. Housekeeping was prompt and thorough. Breakfast wasn't monotonous, so in a week we tried through different specialities. Cherry on top was the hospitality from the management. From the conceirge to reception to servers to managers, everyone was cordial, respectful and helpful. Guiding from which local eatries, apps to order from, to safety precautions - they were kind. The partnered rent a car from hotel was puntual, reasonable and clean. Choosing to stay at Excelsior was the best decision, the location being central with new furnishings and great staff. It was good value for money. Only drawback was the bathroom size and lack of shower cabins. Hot water would come after alot of delay (wastage of water).

Had a disappointing first experience at this establishment. Mr Javed at reservations committed a price but when we checked-in, Mr Javed refused to accept his commitment or even talk on the phone, since he was off duty he would only speak to the staff on call but not the guest. Reception staff on Saturday evening need to spend some time to learn how the hotel management and guest dealing works. One of the room had issues with the drain, which couldn’t not be resolved. A place that has the potential of being great place may get affected by the team that has zero interest in building guest relationships.

My go-to place in Karachi; its proximity to markets gives it an edge over other hotels. The staff is very friendly and goes beyond the possible way to make your stay comfortable. Ms. Mona at the front desk and the bellboys are helpful. Rooms are clean, and the overall environment is suitable for women traveling alone on professional trips.

We stayed here for a week whilst attending a family wedding (A&H). The place was clean, very welcoming team at the reception, they accommodated all our requests and were very helpful. The location was great, everything is nearby and guess what, there is a shopping mall across the road with lots of food options. Highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely stay again here.

My stay in the hotel was very good. The rooms were air conditioned and comfortable. The breakfast and attached restaurant are very good with good selection of food and coffee. Special mention to staff member Afaq Khan who went above and beyond to make the stay great. He helped us with locating an item we left in the room as well as getting transport around town. He is a credit to the hotel as a staff member.

Really good experience. The rooms were clean and newly built. Room service and house-keeping staff were very efficient. I had to get a refund for early check-out because of lockdown but hotel refunded me the full amount. I will definitely visit again and recommend it.

A good hotel but very poorly managed. Some feedback for others. 1) They don't have a parking and your car is managed by inexperienced drivers at time. The only proper guy was in mid shift. 2) Even at such a level, they provided room service only 1 time in 4 nights stay, even after my complaints, it was not handled properly. 3) Rooms are excellent but without room service, it becomes a problem so it is best for 1-2 nights stay. 4) Breakfast is average and again service is very slow at breakfast. 5) I lost some cash in my car so be careful when you give car keys to the valet staff.

This Hotel is one of a kind in Karachi and you'll have a authentic experience as its located in downtown. Rooms are very clean, breakfast is healthy and has a good variety. Staff are awesome, friendly and caring. A tranquil melody is always being played in hallways and does not disturb during the night. Ventilation and A/C are powerful and the bath + toiletries are very close to a luxurious hotel. The only disadvantage of this hotel is its small lobby; IF you take it as a disadvantage.

I have visited 2 times. It's a fantastic place

Clean, organized, and has elevator access to all floors. Staff are incredibly polite and helpful. Great selection of dishes at breakfast, and room service is willing to accommodate special dietary requirements. They'll prepare a dish if you give them specific instructions. The hotel is situated in the middle of a bustling district, so you're never far from places to eat, shop, and go sightseeing. Many places are within walking distance. The only minor annoyance is that the room key becomes demagnetized if you keep it in a purse or wallet next to your phone and you have to check with the front desk if it still works after returning from an outing. Walls are a bit thin so you can hear the tv in the next room but the noise is very muffled.

Building: good and new Cleaning: good Front desk and manager Sales (Ms S***) Dealing with zero authority, zero knowledge and with sorry zero commitment. Seems that she just hire to disappoint clients. Or seems that no authority given her by management. At first experience living and eating experience was good but at the time of checkout the bill was charged wrong, higher side and not as per commitment by higher management. When requested for correction they react like I ask any drugs!!!! Response was very non professional and bad way, 2nd experience again very bad. They just put me on waiting and after long time wasting they refuse very rude way just due to they have full booking business for day. Hotel business need to be very professional and at equal merit, not upon the liking and disliking bases.....

I am really impressed with one of their front staff member Ms. Zahra she was our lifeline during our 13 days stay at hotel Excelsior. She was always ready to help either calling cabs or locating local addresses. I also want to mention one more staff member's name Mr. Zeshan who was always ready to welcome with his innocent smile. To be very honest I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who has plans to visit Karachi Pakistan. This hotel intrigued me. It's in the heart of saddar. Right across it is atrium mall, very convenient for shopping. Getting around from this hotel is ideal, you can step out and grab an uber, careem, rickshaw, and/or bike. Service is very slow. It takes them a while to get things done. They only have 4 irons for a 84 bed hotel. That doesn't make sense. The breakfast is average, they have a buffet. Ideally they would need to update the menu and give more of a variety. Cleanliness is a big concern. Found a roach in the breakfast hall. Informed the management. Nothing was done. Overall, great budget hotel. I would give them another go if they improve the cleanliness and services.

Stayed for 5 nights during Pak v NZ ODI tour. Fantastic hotel and no massive complaints. Room was large and comfortable. Service at hotel was exceptional and staff really courteous. Breakfast was good but felt they could change it up and cater more for Western taste. Location is good - near Frere Hall and Quaid-e-Azam House Museum.

This is one of the worst places to stay in terms of staff, cleanliness, and service. We had to stay there because of the location. The worst part was that they charged us many folds for a complimentary bag of chips. The rooms stink and this is the only hotel that plays loud music in the hallways. Music was so loud that we could not sleep in our rooms and it took them a whole day to bring it down just a little.

This place is absolutely gorgeous, the room was nice, big and clean. Service is good and thank god they have a fan and an ac. It’s close to everything with us very good and rickshaws are parked outside so you don’t need to worry about transport. I’m still staying here so let’s hope nothing changes

The hotel is extremely dirty and poorly managed.The hotel seriously needs to evaluate options for improving general cleanliness.Had one of the worst experiences in my life.Staff are terrible....front desk mr.usama were worst and indifferent he's way of talking very rudely..i went with family and they have no consideration...rooms are worst quality. Room was dust central, dust had settled everywhere and even after us wiping it off with some baby wipes it would re settle. Under the bed was filthy with dirt and dust looked like it had been forgotten about by the cleaner. I wanted to write more but i think it is waste of time. I planned to book for 10 days but I cancel after the first night and shifted to the other hotel. Overall deserve the best as a location but as such no cooperation or positive response from management. I think staff should be trained more and the owner also should allow the staff to use the lift with luggage. It was really embarrassing to see them using stairs. Hope next time find it better.

Excelsior has friendly staff mostly. Rooms have modern and nice lighting but bedding needs improvement. Room dine-in should ideally be entirely done by hotel rather than outsourcing some part of it. Anyhow their choice.

Excellent services, cool and nice environment. Situated on prime location of Saddar in front of Atrium Mall, Karachi. Rooms are very comfortable.

This hotel is a perfect example of *BARE MINIMUM*. I stayed there for 3 days and the staff miss took me as a random woman and barged into my room saying that *unknown ladies are not allowed* they didn't have the decency to check their record. The bathrooms did not have toothbrush, toothpaste and shaving kit. Hot water was mostly unavailable. The beddings also had stains on it. Moreover, the complimentary breakfast was also not up to the mark if we are expecting a 4 star treatment. Overall an okayish experience. The area is very busy so the traffic noise will cause disturbance all night.

I've stayed at the Excelsior many times because it is QUIET. Due to the double-glazed windows you don't hear much from outside. And if you can, the ceiling fan in the room will drown out ALL noise. If you are very sensitive to noise, like I am, then best to have a room towards the end of the corridor, as you do sometimes hear families (and kids!) going past in the morning. I didn't get to try their 'infamous' breakfast as I get up late, so I can't comment on that. But considering how reasonably priced the hotel is, I'd be lying if I said that I expect something amazing to be cooked up in the morning. In this price bracket you can't have it all: great hotel, central location PLUS excellent breakfast. Something has to give. Rooms are small, super-cosy and clean. As a single person it was sufficient, though it may feel a bit cramped if more than one. Amongst my favorite hotels in Pakistan. Just make sure to book online as prices at reception are double if not triple the online rates!! Edit: Unfortunately the service level at reception has gone down significantly since almost all the staff changed. The person there on an evening kept forgetting things and my honest advice would be for him to start jotting things down rather than forgetting - and then avoiding taking responsibility for it! Some female member of staff kept calling regarding my (supposed) checkout, even on days when I clearly wasn't checking out! And the female receptionist there is RUDE. No greeting, no manners, barely even acknowledges your existence. And just like the evening receptionist, she also forgets stuff. Management need to seriously train the newcomers before they start losing customers and SINK this business!

It is one of the best hotel i stayed in Central Location City Karachi. Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the Staff. All the front line staff at Reception Specially Mr.SAFDAR and the whole team of the Hotel are working hard to Exceed Customer Expectations. All the Staff are incredibly helpful and generous with their Exceptional Customer Service will surely come back again. Excellent location. Very helpful staff. Comfortable, clean, well equipped rooms. Good breakfast included in room rate. Also as a woman I felt safe.

Have just spent a fortnight at the hotel and really felt at home. The ambiance was warm and welcoming. Staff very helpful, especial thanks to Mr Nasser and Afaq khan for helping us out throughout our stay. Highly recommend
