Continental Sweets and Bakers is situated in Gulshan e Juhor Block-1 near Abdullah Terrace. I really enjoyed the halwa poori The halwa was prepared with desi ghee. Aloo tarkari, and chana salan were mild and flavorful, making a lethal combination with achar and raita.

Today was Sunday (Halwa Puri day 😋) plus was bored of the daily saada nashta so tried Continental Bakery's Halwa Puri nashta. The seating arrangement was quite good (the footpath on front) and was full when we arrived but thanks to the service guys, they kept arranging everything for us. Coming to the food its good but comparable to other good halwa puris in K-Town (nothing special) A single puri costs 40Rs and Halwa is 200Rs for 250gms Overall food 8/10 Service 7.5/10 Environment 7/10 A try is a must esp on sundays to enjoy the hype 👍🏽

The only place in johar and gulshan where you can get good Kachoris. Hygiene is properly maintained while the snacks like chaat, kachori, samosa, roll and cakes are so good. One of the oldest bakeries in Johar

We Come here for the Samosas since they start making them fresh at 4 everyday! Besides that they have the usual baked goods like biscuits and cakes etc.😋🤷🏽‍♂️

We have tried breakfast like halwa poori, chicken cheese pratha, aalo paratha, qeema paratha, anda paratha and tea. All the things are good.

Going to try samoosa chat at continental bakery Gulistan e Johar. Samoosa chat is good and fresh comparatively better than other options in Karachi. Tried Jalebi is also good and crispy. Tried different types of samosas but somehow it was average. The overall experience of food is good 👍. Very crowded surroundings in the evening other food options are also available.🍽️

Decent place with minimal parking on road. There bakery items are fine. Variety of cakes n sweets available with average taste. A lot of rush during breakfast time with normal seating arrangements. There is no proper security for customers just a single guard at the entrance of bakery.

Given it far more chances than I should've. Tried it multiple times and each time the continental bakery exceeded it's previous disappointment level. The items are all what seemed like cooked in the stone ages and then presented to you like they are fresh or something. The taste is really bland and not at all good. The price is off the roof (considering the taste they provide). I have no problem in paying a bit extra since they have a brand and if they provide the taste accordingly, but charging only for a brand while disregarding the taste completely is not understandable to me. Never gonna go near the bakery again.

It was a good place. Very decent taste halwa puri. The cheese paratha was average. Lassi was fantastic. Overall, nice, aesthetically pleasing outdoor seating arrangement with good food quality and at reasonably affordable rates

Service was extremely slow, we had to clean the table, and after waiting and receiving order we had to serve ourselves then asked for water many times then we had to buy ourselves even there was not much crowd but due to shortage of hardworking waiters.

Got Halwa Poori from here as others options were closed during Eid. Not a bad one when compared with others. Halwa was good and the taste for the chaana and Aloo Tarkari wasn’t bad either. I would recommend it.

There halwa puri are good their kachoris are good even their bakery items are excellent but but but.. their waiters are very rude.. i cant describe the pain in a** you will get when one fine morning you decide to have breakfast there and when you order.. first of all you have to continuously litterly beg them to take your order almost feel like they are giving to you for free and if somehow you manage to grab their attention.. they will either destroy your entire breakfast mood by not focusing on customers and you feel more like throwing everything on his face and go some other place.. even if go for pickup so that you can easily sit at home rather than getting harassed by their waiters you have such freaking long line while their waiters will get in your line and take what ever they want.. totally worst experience when ever i go there.. now i prefer going to other place for halwa puri rather contentinal

Halwa Puri is overhyped & Overrated. Its bad. If u want best Halwa puri, then go to Original Tawakkal at Johar chorangi. Dont go to Tawakkal at perfume chowk, they have the worst halwa puri in karachi.

Very old and renowned bakers of the town. Halwa puri is very famous and also the location is very good. Frozen items are also available there. Conventional sweets are also available along with usual bakery items like chips, bakery biscuits, plain cakes etc. some ready made (ready to eat) snack items are also available suitable for lunch items for kids and adults.

Bakery is fine whereas alongside food items are good like band kabab, kachoris and shawarma. The bad thing is the huge number of beggars which make it hell to sit and eat with piece of mind.

Love their halwa poori. Atleast it's better than many other places. Not too greasy and oily and taste is good as well. Right now they charge 25 rupees per puri.

Sunday Halwa Puri Day .. !!! Good taste and service.. We tried only halwa Puri and tea.. Puri was soft and light, chana curry also good but if you come before 11:00 am you can get more taste in the curry.. Alu bhujia is also very good.. Tea in disposable cups are available.. Surprisingly we eat lot of Puri's but it didn't feel heavy... Overall good experience..

Location is prime. A good location to buy multiple items as there are general stores also available in near vicinity. Bakery items are just OK.

Good food, looks and tastes hygenic. The prices are a tad high but not too much. They also have some of the best Halwa Puri in the area.
