I stayed at Karachi Gymkhana when I visited Karachi for the first time from Canada and guess what? Their safe is unsafe!!! Someone was constantly stealing money from our safe. First couple of days we thought we were miscounting. We couldn’t believe secured place like gymkhana would do this to us. Later, we made money tags and kept counted items in the safe. Next morning we found our there were few bills missing from each pile of money we kept in the safe. On top, they stole some gold items from my wife’s jewelry. Manager was informed right away and sadly checking out after 9 days of reporting the incident we didn’t get any reasonable answer or compensation for the monetary damage we incurred. It’s a bad feeling that when you leave your room something will be stolen or missing on your return. Very disappointing experience!!!! Shame on the staff and the management.

We were there for an event we hosted. The security misbehaved with us. Didn't let us in. Didn't understand that we had to go through the back entrance to pack up the stuff. We told him that we were here the same day in the morning and we went through the back entrance to setup the event but he started to misbehave and started abusing. Since the event was being setup by us we had to go to the parking on the backside in order to pack everything up. Finally when I got in after contacting a member. I wasn't allowed to enter the club. Very Very bad experience hosting an event here. Would not recommend. Very hectic.

Karachi Gymkhana has one of the best swimming pool in Karachi, with finest cricket ground to play Hardball. It has amazing Environment for having lunch. Moreover, it has best table tennis room. In addition to this, It does have a good library.

I hope they can improve in service issues. Waiters were running from pillars to post but end result was zero. Guess some MC members were available who deserved better treatment than others as one could see 3 waiters lined up at a single table while others were just waiting to be served.

Old British style elite class club on the middle of the city. Location is good. Facilities need maintenance upgrades or improvements. Good time with family, friends of business colleague can be spent here.

Marvellous place. Old building of British era. Furniture is also of same fashion and design. Excellent food. Rates are too affordable. The In-House Bakery offers fabulous items. Just get a chance to visit with a member friend and enjoy the atmosphere within downtown. Don't ask for staff. Just think you are more and more important for staff. The most disciplined, submissive, neat and clean.

Room and service are ok but they don't provide two keys for the room which caused a lot of hassle if we wanted to come and go at different times, linen was from 1886 I think when this place was built towels were I guess never replaced they are still 125 years old, our toilet was always clogged. I suggest you bring your own towels and toiletteries

This reveiw is about the guest rooms ar Karachi Gymkhana, which was booked by a member. The rooms are overall good, however the furnishing and fixtures are a bit dated. The bed was comfortable, central Air Conditioning was decent, the towels were comoletely worn out, shower pressure was not good at all. The room service was very slow, however, the food that we ordered was really good both in quality and quantity. Also the room service was very reasonably priced and that is the highlight. The room price is also ideal for the central location, however felt slightly high given the condition of the room and amenities.

It used to be a beautiful place. I loved to sit in its garden, but unfortunately they paved the garden which makes it look ugly. Food was good, staff serve well, but if you don't tip them they avoid you or make you wait long.

I stayed 1 night. Although the manager who received me was friendly, my experience was not good. Too many problems to list: Poor wifi, poor quality breakfast, hard bed, poor amenities, etc. My biggest concern was the employee who brought me my breakfast. His body order was so repugnant that its smell lasted in my room long after he left and I was not able to eat the food he brought. I have never experienced such a pervasive and repugnant smell and it ruined my entire experience. I decided to check out.

It is private membership club. With lots of sport facilities. Like swimming. Badminton, tennis, table tennis, scotch etc. An outside gym in covid times. It is well maintained, spread across a large piece of land. It is highly accessible as is located in the middle of the city. It is a good get away :)

The place brings back lot of memories. My late father was a member of the team that defeated the touring MCC team in 1951 and after this win Pakistan was given the test status by ICC.

It's a nice place with great facilities. Honestly it's just not very hospitable. I got kicked out for wearing sweats in the dining hall. There are just rules and rules everywhere. You are constantly asked to verify yourself as a member. I was surprised that many things such as table tennis rackets were not provided. I would expect after paying so much that they would at least provide with that.

I’ve been staying at the Karachi Gymkhana from a month. Since then I’ve been dealing with a few reoccurring mishaps during my stay. I will list these below. 1) Our room got flooded due to the rainfall, and this led to many of our belongings (clothes, suitcase, gift bags etc.) being damaged. We had to move rooms at 3am with our young daughter who wa s asleep at the time. 2) Due to this incident we had to give our wet clothes in for the laundry, in which a rate list was asked for beforehand but wasn’t provided, we were told we will just get the bill later on. So we didn’t have a rough estimate of the price, and when we did receive the price after we gave the clothes we were rather surprised at the bill as it was quite expensive, and we were not told beforehand. 3) The room we got move to after the flooding has no locker door, therefore all our valuable items (passports, money etc.) have to be carried around with us everywhere we go, which is a big hassle as we can never be sure that it is safe. 4) The towels supply is very short, whenever we seem to ask for them they are not available, at one point due to the lack of the supply we had to go and buy some towels ourselves so that we can get ready on time. 5) Bedsheets supply also falls short which is a hassle as we need them changed sometimes. We have booked to stay here for a month and had the intention that we wouldn’t have much stress during our stay, but this hasn’t been the case and I hope something will be done about this.

Nice club for families. Good quality of food. Garden is well maintained. Service. Needs a lot of improvement. To start with efficiency slacks on Sundays. Tables and chairs need cleaning on a regular basis . And change of cutlery is required.

A great club with a really good atmosphere. The facilities provided are very good and useful for the young ones. The reference library although limited but is very in depth for its focus. And KG has historically been the premier and premium community one can be a part of for amazing leisure activities and development opportunities.

We were invited to a birthday party. My kids had a really great time. The play area was clean well maintained and the food was also great. I didn't have a membership so we couldn't go there again.
