Beautiful ❤️ Railway Station wherefrom train services towards all over the Pakistan are provided. Waiting area of the railway station is not big enough and it hardly has the capacity of maximum fifty (50) passengers to wait for their train... Building is too beautiful ❤️. Some renovation work is also being carried out to rehabilitate the tracks..

Inside the railway station, there was a stinking smell. As in between the railway tracks there was trash and waste water I suppose. Platform ticket of 20 rupees is useless. As only very few people including me purchased it, which is purposeless! Train tracking application is a good initiative but every now and then there's an advertisement that pops up. Railway booking application is useless, as the OTP received can't be incorporated in railway booking application.

Karachi railway station is very good and in terms of rides and at reasonable prices wherever it is, all kinds of lights arrive and depart at the right time and I am very happy to travel in Pakistan Railways for the first time today. And this is also saying for our Pakistan. Praise be to Allaah. They did it on a very high score and also for the next generation Make it calm and attractive for the race..❣️🤳💞

Karachi Cantonment Railway Station is truly something special with its stunning old British style architecture. Walking through its halls feels like stepping into a different era altogether! However, once inside, you might notice that it's not as clean as it could be. It would be great if they could tidy up a bit more to make the experience nicer for everyone. Additionally, finding your train can sometimes be a bit confusing because there aren't many signs to help you out. It would be really helpful to have clearer signs telling us which platform our train will be arriving at or departing from. Making these improvements would definitely enhance the experience for all travelers and make the station even more enjoyable to visit.

The primary railway station in the provincial capital of Sindh, Karachi City, remains a bustling hub that still exudes the architectural style of British colonial times. This station serves as a busy transportation hub in Karachi, offering trains that depart to destinations throughout Pakistan. With the convenience of online reservations, booking seats has become effortless and time-saving. Nevertheless, the condition of the rest areas and waiting rooms is unsanitary.

This is very big station of the biggest city of Pakistan.... But not neat and clean... Nor so much facilities for passengers who are in waiting.... I request my Government to please take care of our beloved city and change their behavior with this city

Karachi Cantt Railway Station is a bustling transportation hub in the heart of the city. With its historic architecture and strategic location, it serves as a major gateway for travelers. The station offers decent facilities, including waiting areas, ticket counters, and refreshment stalls. However, cleanliness and maintenance could be improved to provide a more pleasant experience for passengers. The station's connectivity and frequent train services make it a convenient choice for exploring Pakistan's railway network.

Karachi Station is good place but it's very cumbersome to reserve seats online as mode of payment is jazz cash only which makes things difficult ! The reservation counters are not manned properly: too few to tackle lots of people ! Application newly launched is also difficult to handle. Condition of toilets is pathetic ! In such a big station it needs urgent attention !

Karachi Cantonment Railway Station is one of the principal railway stations in Karachi, Pakistan. It is situated near Dr. Daudpota Road, Saddar. It was earlier known as Frere Street Station. Construction of the station began in 1896 and was completed in 1898 at a total cost of Rs. 80,000. The present building of Karachi Cantt station has been declared a protected heritage site by the Government of Sindh. Karachi Cantonment Station is equipped with all basic facilities. The station has current and advance reservation offices for Pakistan Railways as well as cargo and parcel facilities. Retail shops are found on platform 1, including restaurants such as Rehmat-e-Shereen and Pizza Hut. A minimum of 25 trains commute from this station to other parts of the country but the cleanliness and facilities for passengers are pathetic. Neither Sindh Govt nor Federal Govt are working to make this place as beautiful as it should have been.

Cannt Station Karachi is one of the Beautiful historical building located in the centre of the city, busiest Railway Station in Pakistan, Hundreds of thousands of people came here to travel to their destination. Cleanness is much better than past and punctuality of trains also observed, few train has privatised with hope for better service. Plenty space of charged Car & Bike parking, ATM machine is also installed inside upper class booking office. Beaware of pocket pickers🤭

It's average.. I say it's just mesmerising how it still looks the same as it used to 20 years back. So little they do to preserve landmarks, even though it's the backbone, we have managed to keep it as it was... No development and or extra facilities. It's so original. Though you may feel like it's crying out loud to be nourished but we are so honest and strict to preserve our roots that we bravely ignore such haunted voices..

Karachi Cantt Railway Station is a very crowded and rushy place. You can't even find a place to sit properly with family. You must be cautious about pickpocketing and thieves to steal your baggage. I must recommend having all safety measures. Sometimes trains get late and you have to wait, make sure to have some snacks while waiting. One thing i must recommend is that if you are with family and have heavy luggage, you must avoid other stations because trains don't have to stay more than 2 or 3 minutes. Try to choose cantt station to avoid any anxiety.

Very poor management of the main railway station of the largest populated city of the country. No one was found on the information counter, and this is the same what I observed at my last visit. Very dirty full of littering tracks at the platforms.

Visited after long time. Many things are changed and there is lot of improvement. They have built a new waiting room though it is big but it is open from all sides so it cannot help you in winter. The VERY BAD THING in the waiting area is the washroom. There is only one washroom in waiting area which is COMMON for both LADIES and GENTS. BOTH use the same washroom. I have been in Non Muslim countries but I have never seen combined washroom for ladies and gents. But in our Islamic country where these things matter it's SHAME that we are forcing people to use that in a public facility which is controlled by the Government. SHAME.

What a memory fresher. Cool and calm atmosphere even in scorching summer. A nostalgia of past. Colonial era building with touch of modern day's infrastructure. Good to see that they have an upgraded passenger waiting area for platform number seven and eight. The tickets resrvation area's air conditioning was not proper, yet the area was tidy and comfortable. Amazing to see the Raas logistics counter in the reservation area. I really feel that railways should place S.Jameel & Company's counter at equally prominent place.

Visiting the Karachi Railway Station was like stepping into a time capsule that encapsulates the rich history and cultural significance of this bustling metropolis. As a hub of transportation and a witness to the passage of time, the station stands as a testament to Karachi's evolution while still retaining its old-world charm. Architecture and Ambiance: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) The architecture of the Karachi Railway Station is a fusion of colonial British design and local influences. The grand facade with its ornate details and towering clock evokes a sense of nostalgia. The high arched entrances, adorned with intricate carvings, are a captivating sight. The station's interior carries a sense of timelessness, with its high ceilings, vintage ticket counters, and polished wooden benches. However, a bit more attention to maintenance and restoration could enhance the overall experience. Historical Significance: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) Having stood since the late 19th century, the Karachi Railway Station has borne witness to pivotal moments in the city's history. From serving as a transit point for travelers during the British Raj to being a symbol of Pakistan's independence, the station exudes historical significance. The vintage locomotives and artifacts on display provide a glimpse into the past, making it a must-visit for history enthusiasts. Functionality and Connectivity: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) While the Karachi Railway Station retains its historical charm, there's room for improvement in terms of modern amenities and functionality. The station's infrastructure could benefit from upgrades to enhance passenger comfort, accessibility, and information dissemination. Improved signage, cleaner platforms, and better facilities would go a long way in enhancing the overall travel experience. Cultural Diversity: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) The station is a microcosm of Karachi's cultural diversity. Here, people from different walks of life converge, creating a vibrant tapestry of languages, clothing, and traditions. Exploring the station is not just a journey of trains but a journey through the cultural mosaic of Karachi itself. Local Market and Surroundings: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) The Karachi Railway Station's vicinity boasts a bustling market where vendors sell everything from street food to trinkets. While this adds to the local flavor, it's worth noting that the area could benefit from more organized and cleaner surroundings. Security and Cleanliness: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) While security measures are in place, a more visible security presence and improved lighting could enhance the sense of safety, especially during evening hours. Additionally, a stronger focus on cleanliness and waste management would significantly contribute to the overall appeal of the station. Final Thoughts: The Karachi Railway Station is more than just a transit point; it's a living testament to the city's history and culture. While its architectural beauty and historical significance shine through, there's potential for improvements in terms of functionality and modern amenities. For travelers seeking an authentic experience and history enthusiasts keen on exploring a pivotal part of Karachi's heritage, this station is a captivating destination that bridges the gap between the past and the present.

Karachi Cantt Station is a significant railway station, serving travelers heading across the country. It boasts 8 platforms from where both domestic and international trains depart. The station's environment has improved over time, with a cleaner appearance and the availability of food and beverage options. Waiting rooms are also well-maintained. The presence of staff to assist passengers and the option to purchase tickets on-site or online make it a convenient choice. Overall, it provides a good experience!

Karachi Cantt - Pakistan Railways, really feel sad that an integral organisation of the country that’s a source of communication / transportation / bread earner for millions across the country is in very very bad shape, being a victim of bad policies and political bias ness…. Don’t know when the people of Pakistan will see what they deserve..

Three stars, and that's enough i think for a place like this. Recently many things changed to gave 3 stars otherwise one was enough as well. 1. Now Parking space is better than past. 2. Bit cleaner 3. Can find ATM but still waiting benches and other spaces are not enough so always try to confirm train timing before leaving house, long waiting will be painful. Helpline (inquiry) service is worst. Still living 30 years back :(

Karachi to Dina - 6,400 PKR in AC Business Class. 6 berths. Train was utterly horrible. Don't be fooled by Business Class name. Additional charges 200 PKR for pillow and you have to pay for your own food luckily I had took two subway meals with me. Train left 1hr 30mins late. Took 24 hours and 30 minutes. Train goes to Rawalpindi but Dina is the closest stop to Kashmir. People in cabin were awesome but you have take regular precautions.

I have visited so many railway stations in Pakistan. According to me, stations in Punjab are much upgraded than Karachi cantt. Although Karachi is the major city, but the railway station of this city needs to improve a lot. Cleanliness is the major issue and the staff is not co-operative.

The Karachi Cantt Railway Station is excellent in terms of rides and reasonable pricing, and all types of lights arrive and depart on time wherever they are, and I am delighted to be travelling on Pakistan Railways for the first time today. Services are pretty ordinary, need improvement onsite booking available till 8.00pm. Beggars everywhere even in the trains. This station seriously needs a facelift and renovation. Parking arrangements were good.

The station is equipped with basic amenities such as waiting areas, ticket counters, and platforms for boarding and disembarking trains. However, the overall quality of facilities and services might vary over time and could depend on the investment and maintenance efforts of the railway authorities.
