It was an amazing experience visiting the Press Club Karachi for the first time. I had always seen the Karachi Press Club from the outside. We were there to participating in shoot for a documentary about Google Maps and Google Crowdsource contributions, aimed at supporting small businesses and promoting tourism in Pakistan, as well as improving the Urdu language in Google Translation. The place has a beautifully designed interior, although the wooden floor was closed due to construction. We spent some time at the cafeteria, where we enjoyed delicious tea and breakfast. While there, I noticed a person with different abilities moving around freely. It was then that I realized the presence of ♿wheelchair accessible ramps, which was a great feature. I hope to visit again soon, InshaAllah, for more meetings.

The Karachi Press Club is my second home. I consider myself the most secure here. This club is a strong fortress for journalists. This is a strong justification for claiming that no-one has ever been arrested within the club even though during the worst dictatorship in the country. People belonging to different sections of society also come to the press club for raising their voice to the government. I would also like to share with you that the club building is ranked UNICEF World Heritage.

Love the architecture and openness of the place. It offers subsidized food for members. The place is more alive in evenings and nights. Generally, you would have a bunch of people protesting outside for a cause. Hence, access is a little difficult. But a good experience every time you visit.

Love the vibe there. You get to meet lots of professional journalists in one place. This place is adequately safe, and access is limited to members and their guest. Being a place for journalists, you would expect this place either not to close or close for a few hours up in the morning. We love going to catch up with colleagues and enjoy the tea or coffee or for subsides meal. The food tastes good, and the daily menu gives variety to your taste buds. We have had biryani, aaloo tikki (Yummy), chicken karahi and daal. The main building is old era solid building, and those like the historical building certainly this place is for them. I also like the garden there. Only down side is limited parking availability.

Karachi, Pakistan's largest city, is an enchanting destination that effortlessly blends rich history, diverse cultures, and modern progress. My recent visit to Karachi left me awestruck by its vibrancy and undeniable charm. From its bustling streets to its captivating landmarks, Karachi has an allure that captures the hearts of both locals and travelers alike. One of the most striking aspects of Karachi is its incredible diversity. The city serves as a melting pot of cultures, languages, and traditions, creating an environment where people from all walks of life coexist harmoniously. Walking through the busy neighborhoods, you'll encounter a tapestry of sights, sounds, and aromas from various ethnic communities, providing an authentic glimpse into Pakistan's cultural mosaic. The historical significance of Karachi is another facet that leaves visitors captivated. The city boasts an array of landmarks that showcase its rich past, such as the iconic Mohatta Palace, Quaid-e-Azam's Mausoleum, and the historic Frere Hall. Each of these sites holds its own story, offering a sense of connection to the city's roots and the nation's journey to independence. The food scene in Karachi is nothing short of exceptional. From traditional Pakistani delicacies to international cuisines, Karachi caters to every palate. Whether you indulge in succulent biryanis, savor flavorful kebabs, or sample mouthwatering street food, your taste buds are in for an extraordinary treat. The local hospitality is heartwarming, as you'll find the locals more than willing to share their culinary pride and recommendations. For shopaholics, Karachi offers a shopping paradise like no other. The city is home to bustling bazaars, modern malls, and quirky street markets, where you can find everything from traditional handicrafts to the latest fashion trends. Bargaining with friendly shopkeepers is an enjoyable experience, and you're sure to return home with delightful souvenirs. Despite its undeniable charm, Karachi does face challenges typical of any bustling metropolis. Traffic congestion can be overwhelming, especially during peak hours. However, the city is making continuous efforts to improve its infrastructure and transportation systems, which will undoubtedly enhance the overall travel experience in the future. During my stay, I found the people of Karachi to be incredibly welcoming and proud of their city. Their resilience and positive outlook on life are truly inspiring. Engaging in conversations with locals provided valuable insights into the city's spirit and the warmth of its residents. In conclusion, Karachi is an extraordinary city that offers a unique blend of history, culture, and modernity. Its colorful tapestry of traditions and experiences is something that every traveler should explore and appreciate. My time in Karachi was unforgettable, and I'm already eager to return and uncover more of its hidden gems. If you're seeking an authentic and enriching travel experience, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Karachi, Pakistan's gem of the Arabian Sea.

This is the largest press club of the country only member journalists and their limited guests are allowed to eat on highly sunsidied rates the nice food. It is in the busiest area, all the times many affected people from students to teachers, workers to officers, private people to political parties stage protests and whenever you may come you may find such events. They are making open sky roof top sitting area for eating and drinking in the late evening. Lunch time may be hot and humid.

Place full of journalist, artist, Poets, Painters, Lawyers. A very very busy place, with a canteen and reasonably good food inexpensive as well. There is a parking big parking area in the premises of the building. However, it may only allow members to park. Outside parking area is not recommended as there are lots of protest going on at this place. So it might trouble you aur cost your valuables.

The Karachi Press Club (KPC), is an association of primarily news journalists, cameramen photographers, but also includes academics, business people and members of the public service, and is located at Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. KPC is Pakistan’s first press club, established in December 1958 by a group of enthusiastic journalists in a Victorian style bungalow at Sarwar Shaheed Road (previously called “Ingle Road”). I.H. Burney was the first President of the KPC and today more than 2,100 working journalists, associated with electronic and print media, are members of this prestige club. KPC always plays a vital role in the democratic struggle in general and the struggle for press freedom in particular. KCP- a non-profitable organization, always keen to provide maximum facilities to its members and their families. It has a restaurant with quality food and cheapest rates food for its members. ATM, Clinic, Utility store, Library, computer room and women common room are also a part of the club. The KPC is housed in a double-story over 140 years old building and is a majestic heritage monument. The ground floor comprises the main hall where press conferences and functions with large audiences are held. The upper floor houses a well-stocked library, a committee room, and a TV lounge. Meet the Press is a prominent event of KPC, in which renowned/ head of institutions/ political leaders are invited to brief the media about their activities. Only working journalists are eligible for council membership of KPC, but it also offers associate membership to the renowned personalities and public relation officers etc. The club is proud to have luminaries such as Prince Karim Aga Khan, renowned philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi, scientist and Nobel laureate Prof. Dr Abdus Salam, Prof. Dr Saleemuzzaman Siddiqui, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Alys Faiz, Habib Jalib, Ahmed Faraz, Josh Maleehabadi, Jahangir Khan, Imran Khan, Javed Miandad, and Air Marshal (Retd.) are among the honoree members of KPC. Elections of KPC are held every year in the last week of December and since the establishment of the club not a single year has been missed. The KPC governing body has 12 members including President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Joint Secretary and 7 members to run the affairs of KPC. Presently Fazil Jamil, Web Editor of Daily Jang, is the president of KPC. Shazia Hasan from Daily Dawn is Vice President, Abdul Waheed Rajper of 92 News is Treasurer, Muhammad Rizwan Bhatti from Daily Business Recorder is Secretary (CEO) and Saqib Sagheer from daily Jang is Joint Secretary KPC. In addition, Abdul Aziz Sanghur from Abbtak, Suleman Sadat of Geo, Abdul Wasi Qureshi of Daily Aghaz, Muhammad Farooq Sami of ARY, Muhammad Nabeel of BBC, Hamid ur Rehman of Dunya News and Rasheed Memon of Kawish group are members of KPC governing body for the year 2021.

They should expand the building and clear the surroundings. It may sound basic, but there should be restroom facilities particularly for women. I am sure it would substantially increase the participation of women in protests.

Karachi Press Club is one of the most important place in Karachi which is a central part of various political and social activities. Various social groups who want to raise their voice and reach out the mass will find no place more better in Karachi than the press club. Representatives of all major print and electronic media are readily available here. Setup is available for press conferences. Press releases can be propagated in print media circles and there is ample chance that high state machinery will approach you there to hear your voice. You will always find people in protest here. You will find group of people sitting over hunger strike, people with loud speakers to deliver speech, people in row with playcards in hands, panaflex banners in hands inorder to be into the news. Press Club Building is in central location with car parking facing wide two way roads. Rooms and halls are old fashioned and outer walls are painted with portraits of various social figures and quotes. There is a shed outside where sitin setups are arranged by protesters. I found no special arrangements for disabled people and I don't recommend this place for them unless prior arrangements are made for them. Sometimes undesirable scenes can be seen here. When the protestors try to cross the redline and take a move to the nearby Governor House and state facilities the government apparatus comes into action. Police use baton charge (lathi charge) , water canons and tear gas to stop the peotestors. This is one of the worst case one can face here. Thereforw special care is to be made regarding limits and redlines. The Karachi Press Club is one of the attractive place foe social and political figures to be in news. The government should alocate extra space and release funds for maintenance.

The road currently appears unobstructed; however, there is a pressing need for the improvement of road conditions. This is due to the absence of adequate traffic signage and the lack of a traffic management presence, which increases the likelihood of accidents and incidents. Furthermore, there is a deficiency in nighttime lighting along the road. It is recommended that road lighting be made mandatory to enhance safety during nighttime hours. Additionally, the presence of police mobile units should be considered as a precautionary measure, given the increasing number of reported incidents, particularly in regard to snatchings.
