Treatments are getting difficult here for patients, only 35 tokens for old patients? This need to be consider again, poor people are coming here by paying massive fares and rents travelling from long distances as everyone know that this city has no public transport infrastructure for public and their every rupee is very very important, some really work hard to earn few pennies on daily basis.

Free of cost eye treatment facility available here MashaAllah. Minor surgery is also conduct here. But there is too much rush of the patients and visitors. Not enough parking facility. If anyone wants to visit for treatment he/she must go before 8 am sharp.

Great hospital for those who can't pay. The management is really helpful except for a few(that happens at every hospital so no big deal). They treat you with considerably more respect than the usual free hospitals. The equipment and setup is on par with AKU. But if you can pay for the operation yourself, it's better not to go here. U have to wait atleast 4 to 5 hours on each visit. The operation itself takes 6 hours with all the waiting inside the OT as well. Even for the follow-up the day after the operation, you have to keep in mind that starting from getting a token number outside and then waiting in the dust and heat on the road for an hour, it's gonna take atleast 3 more hours inside as well. All of the above was bearable since it's good service but then the new covid regulations came up with no attendants allowed, only the patient can go inside the hospital. The hospital usually has elderly people visiting who can't comprehend/remember the instructions given by the doctors. But the management doesn't care about that and is intent on throwing you out and leaving the half blind patients to fend for himself inside the hospital. Even saw one guy from management telling a mother to leave her 10 y.o patient inside and go out since attendants aren't allowed. That's the most ridiculous thing ever! 10/10 recommended if you can't pay 3/10 if you can afford a normal hospital and the patient is an elderly, DO NOT GO HERE If the management isn't aware of these regulations then please take strict action. Also a friendly suggestion, please maintain an online booking system by the hour like AKUH and other big hospitals do. I know it's a charitable organization but you guys have the same token system inside as well. Please incorporate this in the future. It will ensure less crowd

When patient facing any deep operation. Dr says you will come after 2 weeks . I have face this issue many times. Kindly operat at the time.

In the beginning of 2022, I had cataract surgery at POB Eye Hospital in Gulistan-e-Johar. According to my information and experience, it is the best hospital for eye treatment in Karachi. It is a charitable hospital that does not charge any fees. Before the operation, it is informed that if the financial condition is such that the cost of the lens cannot be paid, then the lens is provided free of cost from the Zakat fund. Those who can afford to pay for the lens are informed about the types of lenses and their prices. The prices of lenses are much lower than other charitable hospitals. No fees are charged for the tests and examinations done before and after the operation. One has to go and take a number at 7 o'clock in the morning, but it is easier to make an appointment on the phone, although one still has to wait. The hospital has the best cleanliness and strict discipline. There is no discrimination between those who pay for the lens and those who get it for free from the Zakat fund. May Allah shower His blessings upon the organizers and staff of the hospital.

I had recently eye treatment experience at POB Hospital Karachi. The arrangements starting from appointment, consultation, operation and follow up were perfect. I felt well satisfied and recognize the high spirit and dedication of staff and management. Professionalism of doctors and nurses were commendable. I wish POB shall keep growing and meet their future plans mission and objectives to serve the humanity. If advised, I will be happy to participate and share my expertise to work as a volunteer for one day per week for the great noble cause.

This is a blessing in disguise for all the people who can't afford hospital's expensive treatments. Normally when a place offers you service for free or at low cost, their people are either rude or not friendly at all. But this is not the case here. Whether it's the doctors or the Hospital staff, all are very Good and helpful.

Worst hospital everrrrr. Heartless and cruel. Have zero experience and education. Junior doctors play with people's eyes and health. Do not go there if you love your eyes and vision. Doctors are butchers here specially Dr yasir and Dr Areej. I'll mannered staff.

This is a charitable eye hospital so is very crowded. Doctors are nice, qualified and experienced. They have latest equipment. The waiting are is shaded with arrangements for drinking water but the seats in waiting are are very uncomfortable and several are broken and need repair.

Some time ago I had a very bad eye infection for which I went to all the hospitals in the city but Allah healed me here. Yes, the doctors are very good and very helpful. They take special care of emergencies. I will always pray that I got a new life because of him and may Allah continue to give him the opportunity to serve people in the same way.

Facilities are good specially they are giving free of charge treatment to needy ones but their staff do not advice patients for their on going procedure management should look into it guidance not correctly made to patients as well most of the time dr do not treat patients well instead create an impact to just let go them which is very bad.

I haven't got any treatment there, however I had gone for appointment (as they are not picking phone) but staff said that they will give appointment after one month, which was not considerable for me. Also, Security Staff behavior was not good..

Waiting time is too long because of the best services they provide

This hospital is a good hospital for giving your zakat or sadqa ... Very good facilities and accessible to all people...they also run camp clinics in remote areas and provide conveyance to people who can't even afford paying transportation for hospital visits. Full paying patients pay only 10% of what other private clinics/hospitals are charging ... For patients who can't afford to pay can get free treatment by filling a simple one page declaration that they can't afford, no lengthy assessment process. The facilities and professionalism of clinic staff and doctors is better than commercial clinics/hospitals.

If you don't pay them or get treatment for free of cost they will delay your surgeries or they intentionally add complications in your eye, corrupt doctors and staff only getting heavy money from poor patients.

It's unbelievable that POB (prevention of blindness) offers eye care and eye surgery free of cost. But it's reality, housed in a decent building and environment Gulistan e Johar Karachi, provides state of art services absolutely for Free. My family regularly donate to help them fulfill this Nobel cause.

The greater POB main branch is, the worst hussianabad branch is, there is too much favouritism and they don't care for how long people are sitting, they always modify the token number for their favourite people. This branch is the worst one in Karachi. But main branch is the best one
