Coconut Grove

Restaurant

👍 Very aesthetically pleasing place. Indoor is a bit conjusted at rush hours. Prefer to sit outdoor. They have all the arrangements for comfortable outdoor sitting. The food tastes above average. The taste isn't bad but it's not unique as well. It is value for money though. Not very heavy on the pocke... People often mention good, taste, ambiance, experience, chicken, ordered, steak, great, restaurant, Coconut,

We reached early like 8:30 but it's better to go even earlier to avoid waiting at all. They don't take reservations at least for a couple. Maybe they book a table for you if there are several people. Ambiance is classic. Indoor part was very noisy but outdoor area is good. Coming to food, appetizers were like any other place. Nothing special. We got dynamite prawns and Asian pop chicken. In the mains, we ordered Dijon Beef steak which was very good. I loved the serving size and sauces. Next item was Mediterranean Baked Snapper, which was blend. No taste. So I don't recommend it. In drinks we ordered coconut cooler which was good. And from daily specials, we ordered mix berry refresher which was more ice and less drink. In dessert, we ordered Custard with some fancy name. It was a good choice. Coming to price point. It's 4000 per head with taxes for a 4 course meal. They prefer cash payment. Though I insisted on card payment and they accepted. Overall, a good experience because of ambiance and service. Staff was nice and cooperative.

Finally I got the chance to try this much hyped up place with my friends. Ambiance is really nice specially outdoor arrangements, sitting under the trees in fresh air with alot of picture capturing spots available including swings, attentive and cooperative staff and clean washrooms. The food taste is average as per my taste buds, didn't find it much to my liking and pricing is on a higher end. Per person if you take three course meal with drinks it will easily cost you 5k+ so for an experience it's nice to try once but for repeated visits I might not go again. Food quantity was sufficient for one person but taste is the thing which I think lacks here. Rest it's a nice place to capture moments and Instagram reels, but foodies will feel little disappointed here.

We went there for wife's birthday celebration dinner and found absolutely delicious food with good ambience and seating area. All the dishes we ordered were very well, If you love eating out with such relaxing ambiance this place will surely be your choice! One issue is that restaurant does not accept card payments

Wonderful place to eat with a lovely atmosphere. Food is good and quantity of food per serving is really generous! The food that is shown in the pictures was single serving but it can easily serve two.

If you are looking for a fine dining experience, then this is a must place to try. Delicious food, great ambiance, and great hospitality. They have both indoor and outdoor dining options. The servers are professional and polite. They have a vast menu, which includes Chinese, bar b que, pasta, steaks, and burgers. We ordered some BBQ items, which were a bit spicy, and chicken thai curry was delicious, Thai chicken noodles were good but spicy. We also ordered herb and butter steak and steak with mushroom sauce. They were cooked to perfection. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this place. They also offer valet parking, which is a great convenience.

Went with a large group, so got to try quite a few items from their menu. Honestly, I don’t understand why so many people have rated it poorly. It’s a great place overall. The food is good- not extraordinary but good compared to a lot of overhyped restaurants in Khi town. Coconut Grove’s ambiance and interior takes the cake though! Beautifully designed and decorated. Very spacious and the staff is extremely professional too. Will definitely go again. Taking one star off because the food could be improved a bit.

I had been planning for long to visit CG but was not able to come. I heard alot from people and so finally I managed to be there. At first had to wait for the table to get free. I ordered Dhaka fish and chicken Turkish kabab along with mint lemonade. It was a quite relaxing place. I enjoyed the food as I don't like things very easily but it was yummy.

Went on new year's eve with family to celebrate my parents wedding anniversary. The ambiance is great and the appetizers were good: Hummus, chicken strips, prawns and fries We didn't enjoy the steak, brain masala at all. Chicken cashew nut, chicken karahi were good. Overall 3 stars because they need to work well for all cuisines.

10/10 Ambiance 7/10 Food 4/10 Value for money Certainly not worth the hype, or the money tbh. It is way too expensive for no reason, but yes the environment, ambiance was outstanding. Beautiful place and the staff was nice. But at the end of the day, you’re at a restaurant to eat and for burgers (specifically Texas Burger), I certainly did not find it worth it at all. Secondly, drinks were served so late that we had finished eating. Again, perhaps the criticism can be cut down by just reducing the prices and making them justifiable. And they do not accept any cards. Come on man its 2022. That further dissatisfied me.

Visiting Karachi annually and really enjoyed this spot! Definitely expensive relative to other options but such great ambiance, service and menu options! I love the Asian options against BBQ options, two big favorites of mine. Really unique outdoor setting. The table I was sitting on, the chairs were wider than the table length so your leg kept hitting the table leg. Otherwise loved all the social media photo ops and Kunefe!!! We had dragons nest, dal makhni, lemon fish, naan, hunzai beef, Tom yum chicken steak and a few mocktails, plus crème brûlée.

It is newly open restaurant seems like alot of things were in experiment mode. Staff need to trained on menu. Suggestion when you order, make sure to ask for brief details from someone really know the menu items. If you are looking for good ambiance this place is good but if u prefer food over the experience than not worth the expense Ambiance: 9/10 Taste: 6/10 Expense: $$$$

Good experience overall. The food was good. The staff was well trained, friendly and attentive. The ambiance is nice, specially on a winter’s night. Had to wait 15 minutes for a table, even on a Monday. Valet parking is available but parking is going to be a hassle if you’re not comfortable with giving your car to valet drivers.

Loved it. Mongolian Veal Ribs were amazing. Beef steaks are better. Chicken steaks are not worth the money. Atmosphere can be better and peaceful with the noisy fans. Service was up to mark and wonderful 👍

Coconut Grove is recently opened cafe at Tipu Sulan. This spot is very rushy and if you are coming bit late you have to wait in long queue until your turn; better to reserve your seat before coming! Now comes to food, this restaurant offers desi and continental food items, starting from sea food in starter, Steaks and Pakistani food items including Kabaabs, Karhae, Kata Kat e.t.c Please note this spot has CASH ONLY facility, so don’t relay on credit card discounts. Ambience: 9/10 Taste: 7/10 Service: 7/10 Price: $$$$ Enjoy your food!!

Well starting from the environment because the most lovely thing was the ambiance of this restaurant.. a very calm and smooth loved the atmosphere totally. It is a magical place and the food also has a great taste. i tried beef pepper steak and it was good but not the best if you want some spicy steak go for chicken fire steak. 2nd dish was thai chicken noodles it was well cooked and great in taste 🥵 i suggest you to sit outdoor because indoor was a little crowded with so much noise so outdoor is the best. prices are also average according to their ambiance 10/10 in everything

Went on Sunday night. Fine for family dinner. Asked for indoor seating but couldn't get it. 20 minute wait if you arrive after 8:00 p.m. Food was good. Dragons nest and Moroccan steak are recommended. Spicy fettuccine had some spice but was also good. Chowmein was fine. Music was a bit loud for me. Outdoor seating not preferred. Children were running around, playing, some nuisance. Although area was clean. Lighting needs to be brighter.

CG is simply the one of the Best in town, their Food quality, attractive atmosphere and service is outstanding. I would highly recommend for visit I really had a wonderful experience with my Team on Lunch. Recently they announced to open the restaurant on afternoon. If you are going with family or team try to make an earlier booking so you don’t need to wait. We try 13/14 different quality varieties like Dynamite Prawns, Mutton Ribs, Grilled Fish, Steaks etc all are really nice and well cooked. Its little bit expensive but they make it count by food quality and atmosphere ☺️ One of the best lunch experience ❤️😊ice

The ambiance is really good. Food is good too. Not out of this world but pretty decent. There Thai soup was excellent. Outclass. Hot and sour was good . Had charred beef , good quantity and reasonable taste, a little oily though. Alfredo pasta was good too. Service was pretty organised and punctual, even though it was a busy Sunday evening. Indoor gets a little noisy with loud music, outdoor is beautifully designed but current winter days are kind of too cold for outdoor. They do have heaters though.

The atmosphere is good but food taste is below average and is too spicy and salty. Prices also are high for such food. One star less because of food taste and one for prices. They also don't accept credit card/debit card for payment and they also limit their already limited menu(various items in the menu are not actually available). Will not go in near future because of food the taste! Not accepting card payment is generally an attempt to evade taxes by not putting actual sales on record of government authorities.

Ambience deserves more than 5 stars... Food was delicious .. serving and plating was awesome... The major set back was no card faculty was available for payment.. although it deserved 5 stars but the value for food makes the place a one time dine in experience only thus only 3 stars sounds appropriate

The ambiance is just amazing! So calm and beautifully architect!! The services are good enough. For food I would rate 6/10. The Moroccon chicken was the best course.. Alfredo pasta was just average, Beaf steak was pretty juicy 8/10 and sea food was below average. I ordered red snapper. The fish was Soo good.. so tender and juicy but the curry was extremely tangy... Extreme sugary... I didn't like the curry... Total damage for 5 people (5 main course) + 1 appetizer + 5 mint lemonades + 1 kunafa Rs11300/= (along with tax)

Over-priced average food. I am never going again, even though its close to my place. Especially Beef mashroom steak was dry and tasteless. I had to ask for steak knife, then HP sauce because otherwise it was difficult to eat this tasteless steak. No bank cards are accepted. They only accept cash which is fishy. They need to fix these issues, up their service and raise some standards especially food has to be perfect and tasty because only good looking ambiance won't bring customers back.

We had an outdoor dinner there. We ordered dynamite prawns, prawns are really big but taste good. Morocco spicy chicken steak is burnt slightly from below but tastes average, we didn't eat the burnt part and informed the staff about it. Didn't take pictures of the main course. The atmosphere is calm and soothing under the coconut trees but the choice of music is very bad. Overall experience is average, the food is not worth the hype but the ambiance is no doubt relaxing.

Experience something extraordinarily different! This is one of the most, if not the most, lavish dining experience in the city and right in the center of the city. You cannot help yourself noticing the remarkable ambiance of the place. They have options of outdoor dining as well AC hall. To start off, we ordered Hot n Sour Soup, and Cream of Chicken Soup along with Dynamite Prawns, and Drumsticks. The starters really served as appetizers. The soups were steaming hot and flavorsome. The drumsticks and dynamite prawns were well juicy from the inside. The main course had Deep Fried Red Snapper, Sizzling Mutton Kebab, and Beef Wok. Sizzling Mutton Kebab were the highlight on the table. Crunchy, crispy and creamy Kunafa was the sweet dish.

Ambience is great 10:10 invested heavily. Food is very average and is small portions. The chicken makhni handi is for two people but priced for four! Also the real issue is the restaurant which is overpriced does not accept card payments in 2021! A one time only visit

Bit expensive, the waiters are too eager to help but overall good experience. The food was great, particularly the mango salsa chicken, falsa juice and the mango daiquiri. Ambience is great. Has a good outdoor seating arrangement with enough fans to make the Karachi heat bearable. Definitely recommended!

A new addition to the list of restaurants in Karachi. Considering the name anyone would think that the menu would be more tropical, but its mostly desi with some Chinese and Thai dishes. The ambiance is amazing with options of both indoor and outdoor seating.

We group of 15 people visited on 31st October for a Team Lunch. Ambience is good. Taste of food is just on par. Quantity of Food is less than they told us such as BBQ Platter listed on Menu was for 4-5 people but it turns out to be for 2-3 people at max. There were many items on the menu which were not available like Traditional Menu or Kunafa. They should mention on menu or remove items from Menu which are not available. I was not expecting this from a Restaurant of such a level. Very disappointed with their this act. We ordered BBQ Plater, Mutton Ribs Mandi, Tandori Boti, different types of three Steaks, Burger and Dumpukh as major items. Serving took around 20-25 mins for these items. Total Bill was around 43k. Suggestion: omit items from Menu which are not available to order, Have a DSLR camera to take Group photos and share with customer (you may charge for it), introduce Live Music, increase quantity and mention serving of people as per Pakistani Appetite 😁 Keep up the Good Work. Best of Luck

The ambiance was really good. Nice seating area I side and outside. The food tasted good as well. The Thai/continental is good but not as good as cocochan. Thai red curry was flavourful, crispy beef was well cooked as well. The fried was decent. Server helped us for ordering but didn't tell us that the quantity was way more for 2 people ( but I guess they won't). The Dynamite prawns were amazing. The mint lemonade was superb 💯. Check out the timing before going as they open at 7pm for dinner so not sure if or when they are open for lunch. Ordered a mini cake (3 milk) it was ok. Worth to try once in awhile. The overall bill was hefty. For 2 people it was pricey.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Coconut grove, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who made me feel welcome and appreciated. Now, let's talk about the food. Every dish that came out of the kitchen was a masterpiece. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and it was evident that the ingredients were fresh and of the highest quality. Overall, I highly recommend Coconut grove to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Over hyped. The food is great but not at that price point. The ambience is their unique selling point but the indoor tables are so cramped together it feels less of an expensive cafe and more of a road side dhaba. If you're going there for a conversation, do bring your active noise cancelling headphones because the Dbs are off the chart, because of once again, the packed tables. The food was great and the portion size was good too but you're easily paying 15-25% more than any restaurant for the same taste and the price isn't underpinned by any other factor either. Lastly, the service. We paid our bill and were waiting on our takeaway and as soon as we tried to leave, one specific waiter comes in and checks the bill folder and immediately questions if we even paid the bill once he sees the tip we left. Instead of going back and checking himself, he makes a scene in front of the entire house full floor and makes us wait for over 7-8 minutes as we stand embarrassed in front everyone even after paying a ridiculous amount for mediocre food :). Needless to say, this isn't a place where I'd be going back.

Aesthetically pleasing ambience adorned with lit candles and dim lighting giving a serene aura despite too much crowd. We ordered sizzling mutton kebabs, mutton brain masala, Mutton karhai, shahi chicken handi, fried rice with dragon nest, chicken strips, dhaka fish, old school club sandwich, hot and sour soup and kunafa. To begin with the sou9 it already stole the show. Sizzling kebabs were too good so succulent tender and flavored to the T. Dragon nest was another hit with crispy dry beef resting on a bed of chopsuey that itself was great tho a bit spicy as crispy dry beef has to be. Am not a desi food lover so amongst karhai handi and brain masala I found brain masala delish. Coconut cooler was so refreshing and enough to be shared by two to three persons. Kunafa was low on a sweeter side and dint find it closer to an authentic one but over all good food good experience. For all the people who say its expensive yes it is but justifies the experience and vibes it gives.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Coconut Grove in Karachi, and overall, it was a delightful experience. While there were a few minor hiccups along the way, the quality of the food more than made up for it. To start our meal, we had initially ordered the "Crab Rangoon" as an appetizer. Unfortunately, it was unavailable, but the staff promptly offered us a replacement dish, the "Salt and Pepper Calamari." This dish turned out to be a pleasant surprise, with the fried calamari being perfectly cooked and infused with a tantalizing blend of garlic, ginger, and hot green peppers. The spiciness added an extra kick, making it a memorable starter. Moving on to the main courses, we opted for the "Chicken Morocca Steak." The chicken fillet was incredibly tender and served with a generous amount of the much-loved Moroccan sauce. The flavors were well-balanced and complemented each other beautifully. It was a satisfying and well-executed dish. For our second main course, we tried the intriguing-sounding "Dragons Nest." The crispy, tender beef strips were coated in a delectable sweet stick sauce, creating a delightful contrast of textures and flavors. It was accompanied by a side of egg fried rice, which provided a perfect accompaniment. This dish was a definite highlight and left us wanting more. To quench our thirst, we ordered the "Coconut Cooler" and "Boba Passion Fruit" from the drinks menu. The Coconut Cooler was a creamy delight, offering a refreshing blend of coconut flavors. The Boba Passion Fruit was a fun and fruity choice, complete with those delightful chewy boba pearls. Both drinks were enjoyable and added to the tropical vibe of the restaurant. For dessert, we indulged in the classic "Kunafa." The sweet and cheesy pastry was a fitting end to the meal, leaving a satisfyingly rich and sweet taste lingering on our palates. Regarding the service, there was a slight delay in the serving time. However, the quality of the food justified the wait. The staff members were attentive and friendly, ensuring our dining experience was pleasant. In terms of pricing, the total bill came to around 7000 rupees, which was expected considering the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the overall experience.

Its a new eatery in town which is no doubt aesthetically pleasing but lacks on the food front. For starters we ordered hot n sour soup and cream soup , which was not available at first but the server somehow managed to grab a hold of it, along with dynamite prawns. Hot n sour had the perfect flavour but the cream soup had too much of cream and the prawns were good in taste but the cover was not as much crispy as it should be. For the main course we order thai red curry and wok charred beed , the thai red curry was good in taste with the perfect balance of everything but the beef had only the taste of beef and no exquisite taste as such. All in all i wont give it another outing

Went with my wife for our anniversary dinner. And it was a total disaster. First of all it was over crowded. The whole space was filled with tables and chairs. Although ambiance was good but too much crowded. Then we ordered starters chicken cheese strips it was good but only 4pcs Then for main course i ordered prawn karahi that was worst taste and prawn was undercooked and not fresh, i asked waiter to replace but they bought same karahi again. We didn’t even ate our food and left the place by giving review to their manager and they just apologized and didn’t bothered to compensate and took the full payment.

Some specific food items were good such as Taragon chicken, Beef steak, Chow mein & Thai soup were 9.5/10. Coconut cooler was okay, chicken cheese sticks could have been much better without the almonds and a good sauce, burger was average, club sandwich was fine and Alfredo pasta was a bit mild in taste.

Food was okayish and it also depends on the things ua ordered.. However, few items were not available but was in menu. Not worth the hype.. Most importantly they dont take cards. So, if you are planning to go there please take cash along or ask before dining in..
