Our experience with CGH Visalam has been fantastic. Being an experiential motorcycle touring company we always find CGH properties just exactly what we want. Service has been great and the staff are very pleasant to interact with. The stay has been great with rooms depicting the olden style in terms of architecture. Would love to visit again with the group

I love this place. The rooms, the pool, the food, the culture, everything is amazing. Cherry on the cake? The staff. A big shout out to Mr. Chidambaram. He was just amazing. He guided us to some great local sightseeing, shopping and some amazing hole-in-the-wall joints to eat (when we stepped out to explore the town)

Great place. Fantastic food, meals were really something we looked forward to, outstanding service, especially the Relations Manager (the best). Loved the rooms, their decor and appointments

5 star experience at Visalam. Myself, family and friends had a great time there. We tried the food, the pool, the activities and had a refreshing time at Visalam. Great pool long enough and deep enough. Food was of good quality Rooms are big spacious and comfortable. The cost is a little on the higher side but the service and the experience cover up for the same. the staff were all nice, helping and had a friendly attitude. Altogether a great stay, food & good times.

Luxurious stay in the heart of Chettinad - the property is very well maintained and the staff are very friendly/helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. A lot of thought has gone into being eco friendly/less waste - with the amenities, cooking meals to order (ensuring fresh and local ingredients) and the activities to teach local culture / morning bikes / evening walks. Definitely recommend as a weekend getaway with family and friends!

A lovely place to stay, with very attentive hosts, homely feel and a wide array of special experiences. We particularly enjoyed the cooking demonstration, the early morning bike ride (tranquil, informative and timed perfectly for golden hour, with a tour of the local cattle farm) and heritage villa visit. An extra bonus was the wonderful tea and coffee cart alongside the delicious food.

If you are looking for an authentic chettinadu stay, the place lives up to the expectations giving out an amazing vibe. They serve coffee by the garden, an amazing pool, heritage walk and alot more to offer. It is worth the money.

CGH Earth Hotel , Wow Simply great place to dine in and stay. Rooms are all well presented and it feels like staying inside an old home , full of wood & I absolutely loved the hospitality and care they provide. Chettinad land of cuisine. Can't express my joy and happiness while i was there for 2 days. Absolutely loved the food they serve esp chettinad chicken curry and chicken proper curry.

The place looks beautiful and ethereal. One of the best maintained heritage properties I have visited. The rooms are super spacious adorned with thoughtful interiors. We couldn't access the pool as it was under repair. They have multiple options for seat outs. We opted for their cycle tour, which goes through the colony of 200 year old palatial chettinad colony. Food within the property was average. Staff is good.

Great place, very well maintained and staff is very knowledgeable, unassuming and helpful to a fault. Their recommendations of food outside the resort were great. The pool with a depth of 7 feet is great for a good swim. The room was airy and ventilated. Mr. Siva's cycle tour is very good and gives one a good insight to the lay of the land. Highly recommend the morning cycle tour that takes one around to three villages with a variety of chettinad housing and public buildings.

Had the most incredible stay at Visalam. The ambience was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Shiva, Shakti, Baby, Kiran, Gokul and all other staffs were amazing with their attitude and are worth mentioning. The cooking class with Gokul was incredible. And the food was also amazing. This is undoubtedly the best place in Kanadukathan. Every penny spent here is worth the value. Special mention to Shiva for guiding us through the heritage village and suggesting the best spots around the place.

This is an amazing property ... Well Maintained and Service was top notch Rooms were really Big, Traditional and yet loaded with modern hotel aminities. Like any other CGH property, Food was awesome 🔥 🔥 🔥 Amazing pool ... It was really a surprise pack Location around is simply stunning and must visit. The rich heritage of Chetinadu culture is something one should experience.

This is my favourite place, beautifully built palace. Awesome detailing. No words to describe the service they rendered. Almost every staff are from the region and kind to each and every customer to the core. Loved them, tasty food. Will visit again.

If you are looking for a quite place steeped in tradition with old world charm and great architecture, Visalam is the place. Wonderful heritage property, amazing food, great staff and well connected by Road and rail. Special mention for the staff led by the ever helpful Mohan. Value for money and highly recommended.

We had a very peaceful and homely stay at Visalam. Friendly staff going above and beyond to accomodate guest requests. Comfortable rooms. Healthy and freshly made food. Well organized local activities. Overall, a pleasant experience and recommend for a safe and peaceful family getaway.

The heritage house Visalam, was very pretty and the staff was really helpful. The food was mouthwatering. i will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. we tried out all the activities as suggested by the staff and the experiences were out of the world !! !!

The place had a typical Chettinad vibe to it. The staff was very friendly and they made us feel at home. The parking space is limited and the food was a bit expensive. Vegetarians would definitely have limited choice. The room was very spacious and comfortable.

This is a wonderful place to unwind and has excellent service by all the staff. Food is awesome. We enjoyed the quiet rooms, serene atmosphere and the wonderful hospitality. Keep in mind the this is a heritage property adapted to a hotel so carry a eye mask as it has a lot of light leakage in the rooms.

Wonderful property and ambience. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The chettinad food was superb. Loved the chettinad chicken curry and yennai kathrika. The tea stall was refreshing, admist monkeys,parrots and chicken. The muruku was crunchy. Breakfast was nice with dosa, kulipaniyaram . They even surprised me with a birthday cake and decor. The pool was well kept.The manager made sure everything was in order. Overall a 5 star experience

A beautiful mansion in Karaikudi, which is converted into a great hotel. A well planned and managed mansion as a hotel. The atmosphere of the hotel takes you back to almost 100 years. The architecture of the building is great. The staff is very polite and willing to help the guests. There are very limited rooms available. If I remember, it should be around 14. If you get pampered with the chetyinad style food and customs, you can choose the hotel. The food that I had was good and tried veg on that particular day.

We stayed for 3 nights. This a hidden gem to be explored. The staff are extremely helpful. Lots of nice places to visit around by walk and cycle. The pool area is really calm and feels a class apart from other properties

The hospitality , hygiene , location , facilities and everything about the place is just amazing . Especially the manager mr Sam and mr shiva take good care of the guests . Would definitely recommend this place for a nice calm vacation and one of the best places to unwind :)

Visalam rooms and food was too good. Special mention to siva and cooking team who were patient enough and took care to serve us best and guide us around the sites. If more indoor activities could be arranged kids would also enjoy more. Suggest fussball and shuttle to be added.

The property is well equipped to provide an authentic chettinad experience. The experience from entering the property to bidding adieu was worthwhile. The team of staff , to name a few Shiva,Shakthi nad Baby , were really helpful and supportive. Thoroughly enjoyed experience
